More Evidence That The 2011 Mac Pro Will Launch Soon Posted: 24 Jun 2011 12:58 AM PDT On Monday we heard a rumor that Apple are getting ready to launch the 2011 Mac Pro, and it could go on sale some time in August, now more evidence has appeared which point to a Mac Pro refresh. According to the guys over at 9 To 5 Mac, who’s source has reportedly seen some internal Apple documents relating to the Mac Pro refresh, Apple will be releasing a new Mac Pro with 16 cores. Other models reported to be available as well as a 16 core Mac Pro, include a 6 core model, an 8 core model and a 12 core model, which are similar to the existing models. A 16 core Mac Pro sounds impressive and we suspect it is going to be capable of some serious performance, and will probably also have a fairly hefty price tag.
