| Apple iCloud Will Be Free, Replace MobileMe, iTunes Match Announced Posted: 06 Jun 2011 12:01 PM PDT Apple has finally announced iCloud, and it will replace the companies MobileMe, and it will sync a and backup wide range of things with your iOS device which include purchased music, apps and books bought from the iBooks store. It will also sync your photos and videos from the camera roll as well as app data and your iOS device settings, plus documents from iWork apps and other apps, and when you change a document on one iOS device it will be synced with iCloud and your other iOS devices automatically.

| HTC ChaCha Facebook Smatphone To Get 800MHz Processor Posted: 06 Jun 2011 06:43 AM PDT Some of our readers will remember the new HTC ChaCha Facebook smartphone that was announced earlier this year, and is due to go on sale later this month, now it looks like it will be getting a more powerful processor when it hits the stores. When it was announced the HTC ChaCha was supposed to come with a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, and now it will feature an 800MHz processor, probably the same one just with a higher clock speed.

The announcement is due to a law that was passed in France back in 1992 which forbids the promotion of commercial enterprises on news programs. | Apple’s App Store Reaches 400,000 Apps? Posted: 06 Jun 2011 05:18 AM PDT We heard a while back that Apple may have approved over 500,000 iOS Apps, although at the time there were reported to be close to 400,000 apps available in the App store, this has yet to be confirmed by Apple. Now according to a recent report from AppAdvice, the iOS App Store now has 401,446 apps available to download, and Apple’s CEO is expected to confirm this number in his keynote speech later today at WWDC 2011.

| AT&T And Apple Working On Smaller SIM Card? Posted: 06 Jun 2011 03:20 AM PDT We already know that Apple is trying to develop a smaller SIM card for mobile phones, and have it adopted as the industry standard SIM card for all devices, as we heard a while back from Orange who confirmed that they were working with Apple on the new SIM card. We also heard that a number of other mobile carriers were working on this new SIM card, and now AT&T have confirmed that they are working on it, although they did not mention Apple specifically and just said that they were ‘wrking with the industry’.

Now according to Cult of Mac, Apple’s iCloud will also let you store your entire Time Machine backups on a new Time Capsule which will reportedly be announced later today.

The hacking group responsible for the breach was ‘Lulzsec’ who have also been responsible for a number of attacks on Sony’s server over recent months. The hackers who broke into the Nintendo US website have reportedly not caused any problems or inconvenienced any customers with the hack, and just obtained a config file from the entry. The original references to the new name were spotted in the code of Sony’s website by the team over at the NeoGaf forums. But it now looks even more likely that Sony will be calling their new NGP, ‘PS Vita’. | Asus UX21 Ultra Thin Laptop To Retail For Under $1,000 Posted: 06 Jun 2011 12:47 AM PDT Some of our reader will remember the new Asus UX21 ultra thin laptop that was announced recently, it is part of Intel’s new ‘Ultrabook’ laptop class and is designed to be thin and light and Asus are obviously hoping it will be able to take on Apple’s MacBook Air. It looks like the Asus UX21 will retail for under $1,000, and according to a recent report Asus are intending to price the UX21 at around 80 to 90 percent of the cost of Apple’s MacBook Air.
