GameStop Launches Pre-Orders for Google Nexus 7 Tablet with Trade-In Bonus

RIM Delays BlackBerry 10 Until 2013, Lays Off 5,000 Staff

Samsung Galaxy Note Review

The Samsung Galaxy Note was first launched near the end of last year, unfortunately we didn’t manage to review the device when it was released, so I thought it was about time to try one out.

The first thing you notice about the Samsung Galaxy Note is the size of the device compared to other handsets, the device is designed to be a combination device between a smartphone and a tablet, and it features a 5.3inch Super AMOLED display.

Google Docs Now Available Offline

If you are a regular user of Google Docs you will be pleased to know that Google has now revealed and demonstrated at its Google I/O conference. That Google Docs is now available to use offline.

At Google I/O Clay Bevor, director of product management for Google Apps, demonstrated that Google Docs will now work for offline editing, by opening Google Doc via Google Drive on stage in front of Google I/O attendees.

No Flash Support In Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Adobe announced last year that they would be ending support for Flash on mobile devices, and now Adobe has announced that there will be no Flash for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Adobe has also said that it will stop offering new installations of Flash on mobile devices from the 15th of July, existing installations will get limited updates in the future.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Feature 5.5 Inch Super AMOLED Display, Slimmer Design

We have been hearing rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 over the last few weeks, the devices existence was recently confirmed by one of Samsung’s Twitter accounts and now we have some more details about the device.

According to the guys from GSM Arena, who have received some information about the device it will indeed come with a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display and will feature a slimmer design than the existing version, have a look at a mock up of the device below.

The American National Weather Service has this week announced the launch of their new Wireless Emergency Alerts system, that has been created to send severe weather warning directly to users smartphones.

The new weather warning system will include news about approaching tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, typhoons, tsunamis, flash floods, extreme winds, blizzards and ice and dust storms as well as other threats, and will send message of no more than 90 characters.

Apple Posts $2.6 Million Bond To Have Galaxy Tab 10.1 Banned In The US

Earlier in the week we heard that Apple had won its case against Samsung in the US, and that Judge Lucy Koh had decided to ban the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US.

In order to enforce the ban of the tablet, Apple was asked by the court to post a bond of $2.6 million US dollars, and now Apple has posted the bond, the bond is designed to protect Samsung should their appeal be successful.

Google Nexus Q Hacked To Load Games

Total Recall Reboot Full Trailer Released (video)

If you have already seen the original Total Recall film which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger you will know the storyline for the latest 2012 Total Recall reboot starring Colin Farrell.

But the latest trailer after the jump has added a little more CGI effects that the first and is shaping up to be a good remake if the trailer is anything to go by. The new film is directed by Len Wiseman, and features appearances by John Cho, Ethan Hawke and Bokeem Woodbine.

Chinese manufacturer Geanee has announced their latest Android set top box, the Geanee ADB-01 which comes with Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread and features a 1GHz processor.

The Geanee ADB-01 is powered by a 1GHz Rockchip RK219 processor, and features 512MB of RAM and 2GB of built in storage, plus it features HDMI out and a number of other ports.

Virgin Mobile Now Offering Pre-paid iPhone 4 And 4S

Earlier in the month Virgin Mobile announced that they would start offering a pre-paid version of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on their network in the US, and now they have started selling Apple’s iPhones.

Virgin Mobile are offering the 8GB iPhone 4 for $549 without a contract and they are also offering the 16GB iPhone 4S for $649, the pricing is the same as Apple charges for the unclocked versions of both devices.

Apple Working On Major New Version Of iTunes

According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Apple is working on a major new version of iTunes, which is designed to increase the amount of content available through the iTunes store and also make it easier for users to discover new content.

Google To Release New Google+ App For iPad

Sony Action Camera Prototype Unveiled

Its seems that Sony is also looking to get a piece of the action camera market and has this week unveiled a handful of images introducing its new high definition wearable action camera for all to see.

Sony has designed their new action camera for POV and action sports, it says in the blog post on the Sony website, which provides a first look at the new Sony camera.
