As well as announcing their new 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro last week, Apple also updated its existing MacBook Pro range with new processors, more memory and improved graphics.

We now get to find out how well the new 13 inch MacBook Pro stacks up against the previous model, and it also gets compared against Apple’s new 2012 MacBook Air range.

Barnes & Noble Not Involved With Microsoft’s Tablet Event Later Today

Microsoft is expected to unveil their first Windows tablet later today, we previously heard earlier today that Microsoft had teamed up with Barnes & Noble for their new Windows tablet.

According to a spokesperson from Barnes & Noble, the company has nothing to do with Microsoft’s event later today, we wonder what Microsoft has planned to announce later on.

Granted, the Nook Simple Touch is not a high end tablet, but it is modern. So now this person knows what it would be like to have a Mac OS tablet as if it were 16 years ago were.

Floor Mat Sucks the Dirt off Your Shoes

Most vacuum cleaners are reactive devices in that they clean the dirt off your floors after it falls off your shoes. I think the better approach would be a more proactive device that helps prevent that dirt from ever getting on your floors to begin with. That seems to be exactly what this crazy vacuum floor mat is meant for.

Facebook Agrees to Pay out $10 Million to Settle Sponsored Stories Suit

Facebook was sued by five different users over their profile being used in Facebook’s sponsor stories advertisements on the social network. When the suit was first filed, Facebook said that it was frivolous and without merit. However, it appears Facebook has reconsidered.

BMW Shows Off i Pedelec Concept Electric Bicycle

We have already seen a couple of electric concept vehicles from BMW, in the form of their i3 and i8 concept cars, and now BMW has shown off another electric powered device although this one is a bicycle, the BMW i Pedelec.

According to BMW, the i Pedelec is a high tech form of transport, and it is made from a range of advanced components which include front and rear disc brakes, a lightweight frame which is constructed from carbon fiber an aluminium.

NEC Announces LifeTouch L Android Tablets

NEC Has announced two new Android tablets called the NEC LifeTouch L, both devices are very similar in specifications although one is designed for consumers whilst the other is designed for business users.

The NEC LifeTouch L comes with a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and processing is provided by a dual core 1.5GHz processor.

Verizon Announces FiOS Quantum With Speed Up To 300Mbps

Verizon has announced the launch of their latest Internet service, called FiOS Quantum, the new service will offer download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of up t 65Mbps.

Sharp Announces Feel UX UI For Its Android Smartphones

Google’s First Android Tablet To Be Called The Asus Nexus 7

We have been hearing rumors that Google’s first Android tablet is being produced by Asus for Google, the device is expected to be launched at the Google I/O developer event which takes place between the 27th and 29th of June.

Now it would appear that we may have a name for the device, is is reported to be called the Asus Nexus 7, and will apparently come with Android 4.1, when it debuts later this month.

Motorola Solutions Acquires Psion For $200 Million

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Appears On Video

Nokia To Announce PureView 808 For US Later Today

Apple I Computer Sold For $374,500 At Sotheby’s Auction

Apple’s first ever computer was called the Apple I, it was made in 1976, and each one was hand built by Steve Wozniak, only 200 were made and one was recently sold at a Sotheby’s auction.

The Apple I computer raised a massive $374,500 at the auction, and there was also a memo sold at the auction, from when Apple’s co-founder,the late Steve Jobs, worked at Atari, which sold for $27,500.

Qualcomm Tests The Snapdragon S4 With The Butter Benchmark (Video)

We have already seen a few different benchmarks of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, and now Qualcomm has come up with a new and novel way to test out its latest smartphone processor next to its competitors, the Butter Benchmark.

Mozilla Working On ‘Junior’ iPad Browser

Mozilla’s design product strategy team has revealed that they are working on a new web browser, this new browser is being designed specifically for Apple’s iPad and it will be called Junior.

AirBurr Micro Autonomous Self Righting Flying Robot (video)

EPFL’s AirBurr micro air vehicle has been in development for a number of years and has developed from a roll cage protected design, into a autonomous self righting  flying robot.

The latest creation by AirBurr has been designed to be able to recover itself after a collision with a wall surface will object. After the flying robot has collided with an instruction and dropped to the floor it will then roll using its centre of gravity and deploy it “Active Recovery System”. Canadian Samsung Galaxy S III Launch Delayed Until June 27th

Flynano Completes First Airborne Test Flights (video)

Apple Patent Reveals Swappable iPhone Camera Lenses

Apple has been concentrating on improving the camera on their iPhone with each release of a new iPhone, the latest iPhone, the iPhone 4S comes with an 8 megapixel camera which does a pretty could job at taking photos and can easily replace a point and shoot camera.

IBM Sequoia Supercomputer Is The Worlds Fastest

The US has claimed the title for the worlds fastest supercomputer, with the IBM Sequoia, a record which was previously held by Japan’s Fujitsu, which has now moved into second place.

The IBM Sequoia is installed in the US Department of Energy’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California and it will be used to carry out simulations relating to nuclear weapons.

LG Optimus L5 Android Smartphone Launched In Europe

LG has announced that the LG Optimus L5 has launched in Europe and it will be available in the UK, Germany and France initially, LG has said that the handset will also be headed to CIS, the Middle East and Asia, and then Central and South America.

The LG Optimus L5 is powered by a Cortex A5 MSM7225A  800MHz processor and comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Microsoft Was All Set To Buy OnLive, Xbox 720 Leak Reveals

GTA Publisher Not Convinced About Wii U Core Game Cred

While games like Manhunt 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare have made their way onto the Wii, the presence of grittier fare on its platforms is far from a fact of life for Nintendo. First party development has always set the tone for the house of Mario, but if it hopes to attract enough third parties to make its upcoming Wii U launch a success, that might need to change.

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm 99% There

Starcraft die-hards counting the days until the next third of that game they bought two years ago is out will be happy to hear that the game is “99 per cent done, but that last one per cent is a bitch,” at least according to lead designer Dustin Browder. Heart of the Swarm is currently undergoing the customary Blizzard spit-shine, but not for long.

EA, Wooga Games To Be Removed From Google Plus

EA-owned PopCap as well as independent developer Wooga have announced that their games will no longer be available on Google’s beleaguered Plus service in the coming days. The hardest blow will probably be the removal of the hugely popular  Bejeweled Blitz, with Wooga’s Bubble Island and Diamond Dash joining it.
