| Sony Announces PlayStation Partnership With HTC Posted: 05 Jun 2012 01:11 AM PDT We have been hearing rumors for a while that Sony may expand its PlayStation certified program to other manufacturers, and it is now official and Android handset maker HTC will be the first company to team up with Sony to offer PlayStation certified devices. Sony has also announced that they are changing the name of their PlayStation suite to PlayStation Mobile, and they will also be opening their mobile store to third party Android manufacturers.

Now it would appear that we may have some possible specifications on the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the device is rumored to feature a 5.5 inch touchscreen display, this is slightly larger than the 5.3 inch display on the existing Galaxy Note.

SmartGlass will let you use your existing touchscreen devices like your tablet or smartphone with your Xbox 360, game content will be displayed on your SmartGlass device, and you will also be able to use your smartphone or tablet as a controller for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer which is also headed to the Xbox.

| Samsung Galaxy S III US Launch Dates Announced Posted: 04 Jun 2012 11:29 PM PDT The Samsung Galaxy S III will be available with five carriers in the US, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular, and now we have some launch dates of the device on the majority of the networks. T-Mobile will offer the Samsung Galaxy S III from the 21st of June, although you won’t be able to pre-order the device unlike some of the other networks.

| Sony ST21i Coming As Sony Xperia Tipo Posted: 04 Jun 2012 11:19 PM PDT Some of our readers will remember the Sony ST21i that was leaked back in April, the device was rumored to be an entry level Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone. Now it looks like we may have a name for the handset, as it is rumored to be launching as the Sony Xperia Tipo, the name was apparently revealed by the Indonesian Ministry of mobile communications.

Normally when devices are released with multiple carriers, the various carrier usually like to put their own stamp on the device and they will have slight design changes between each carrier and usually a different name, the photo below is of the T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy S III.

| LG Optimus LTE Gets Android 4.0 ICS In Korea Posted: 04 Jun 2012 11:01 PM PDT LG has started rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to the original LG Optimus LTE in South Korea, the update brings a range of new features to the device along with an updated Optimus UI 3.0. The update has been released as an over the air update (OTA), and in the form of Android 4.0.4 and it should now be available for devices in South Korea.

| RIM Wins BBM Trademark Dispute Posted: 04 Jun 2012 10:28 PM PDT Research In Motion has won the right to continue using its BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) name after a recent court ruling, RIM had been taken to court by Canadian broadcast analyst firm BBM, who had complained that RIM’s BBM name infringed on their BBM trademark. The BBM firm had be contacted by a number of BlackBerry owners asking for form help with their devices, which the company said clearly demonstrated brand confusion.
