Google’s Asus Nexus 7 Android Tablet To Debut At Google I/O For $199

Yesterday we found out some more information about Google’s new Android tablet, the device is expected to be unveiled at Google’s I/O developer conference which takes place next week between the 27th and 29th of June.

Now according to a recent report from Digitimes, the Asus Nexus 7 tablet will be priced at $199.99, and the device will apparently go on sale in July, the $199 price tag is something we have heard previously.

Tactile Robot Fingers Touch Is More Sensitive Than A Humans (video)

This week researchers at the University of Southern California's Viterbi School of Engineering have published a study in Frontiers in Neurorobotics, explaining that specially designed robots can be taught to feel with the sense of touch with even more accuracy than humans.

Its hoped the new technology can be used to help advance prostheses, personal assistive robots and consumer product testing. The new tactile sensor has been designed to mimic the human finger, and is even equipped with fingerprints that enhance the sensor's sensitivity to vibration.

Angry Birds Heikki pushed back to June 25th

A few weeks ago we told you that Angry Birds and Finnish Formula 1 star, Heikki Kavalainen were releasing a new game, Angry Birds Heikki. We still don’t have many details, but we can be sure it involves racing. The game was supposed to launch on the June 18th, yesterday, but it has been delayed.

SanDisk announces Extreme Pro microSD cards

Microsoft’s Windows Phone Tango Update Gets Detailed

Microsoft’s Windows Phone Tango is currently available on the European version of the Nokia Lumia 900, Microsoft is also expected to release Windows Phone Tango as an update fort existing devices.

Verizon Drops The Samsung Galaxy Nexus To $149.99 Online

When Verizon started selling the Samsung Galaxy Nexus the handset was available for $299.99, Verizon then dropped the price down to $199.99 and they have now dropped it again in their online store.

Verizon are offering the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for $149.99 via their website, although it seems that they are still charging $199.99 for the device in their retail stores.

iRobot has announced the launch of their latest robot vacuum cleaner, the iRobot Roomba 790, which they describe as their most advanced robot yet, and it comes with a wireless command center plus a remote control.

The remote control can be used from anywhere in your home, and will let you steer the Roomba and schedule a cleaning, adjust the clock and even send it back to its docking bases.

LG To Put Tablet Development On Hold

LG has announced that they have decided to put their development on hold for the time being, instead the company will be focusing on smaller devices like smartphones.

LG has launched a couple of Android tablet, like the LG Optimus Pad, although we suspect they have been less popular than LG had hoped, many tablet manufacturers face a similar situation, excluding companies like Samsung who have had success with their various Android tablets.

iFixit Dismantles Apple’s New MacBook Pro Retina Display

iFixit have been busy with their screwdriver once again, and this time have taken apart the Retina Screen of the latest Apple MacBook Pro which was unveiled last week.

ZTE Grand X LTE Announced For Asia Pacific And Europe

ZTE has announced a new LTE smartphone for Asia Pacific and Europe, the ZTE Grand X LTE which is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that is their first single chip LTE smartphone.

The ZTE Grand X LTE is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz processor and also features an 8 megapixel rear camera which can shoot HD video in 1080p, there is also a front facing camera for 720p video calls.

New Dark Knight Rises Trailer Released By Nokia (video)

Nokia has released a new exclusive trailer for the upcoming Batman movie, Dark Knight Rises which will arrive in theatres on July 20th 2012. As you might already have guessed Nokia are heavily sponsoring the film.

Google Partners With Flipboard To Integrating Google+ Streams In Apps

At the recent Le Web '12 in London, Google's Vice President of Product Management Bradley Horowitz has revealed that Google is going to partner with the makers of the awesome Flipboard application.

Enabling Flipboard to now include Google+ streams within their application. The new Flipboard feature will allow Google+ users to access posts, photos, video and other data without the need to visit the Google+ social network directly.

HTC Says WiFi Issues On HTC One X Only On Tegra 3 Version

HTC has recently more information on the WiFi issues experienced by owners of their HTC One X smartphone, which we reported on last week, and according to HTC this issue is only happening on Tegra 3 versions of the HTC One X and not Snapdragon S 4 versions.

HTC also released a statement and said that anyone who has these problems should contact the customer support through the channel where you purchased the device.

Darksiders 2 Last Sermon Teaser Trailer (video)

Apple Extends Agreement With Liquid Metal Until 2014

Apple signed a deal with Liquid Metal back in 2012 to use their technology in Apple devices, and now according to a recent report from Mac Rumors, Apple and Liquid Metal have extended their agreement until 2014.

The agreement was setup trough a subsidiary which is know as Crucible Intellectual Property LLC, and this provides Apple with a full license to all of the intellectual property from liquid metal.

Gooseberry Mini PC Developer Boards Now Available For £40

The Gooseberry developer board is equipped with a A10 1 Ghz processor overclockable to 1.5 Ghz or 1.2 Ghz as the highest stable overclock using Android, making it roughly 3 x more powerful in processing power than the Pi, says its creators.

Facebook Acquires Face.com For $60 Million

There have been a number of rumors over the last few weeks that Facebook were in talks with facial recognition company Face.com in a deal which is reported to be worth $60 million.

Nokia 808 PureView Headed To The US For $699 SIM Free

Nokia has announced that they are launching a SIM free version of the Nokia 808 PureView in the US, the handset will be compatible with mobile carrier AT&T and also T-Mobile, although on T-Mobile  it will only work with 2G speeds.

Nokia will offer the 808 PureView for $699 SIM Free, and it will be sold through Amazon in the US, the handset comes with Symbian Belle as its OS and it features a 4 inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels.

We have been hearing rumors over the last week that Microsoft were getting ready to launch their own tablet, it is now official and is called the Microsoft Surface Tablet.
