Quantum Conundrum PC Release Date Announced Posted: 03 Jun 2012 09:52 AM PDT Having a hand in making Portal has to earn you at least the equivalent of an industry “get out of jail free card”. And for Portal co-creator Kim Swift, that potential jail might be Quantum Conundrum, a “cutesy” puzzler coming to the PC on June 21st. Then again, it might be every inch as brilliant as GlaDOS and Chell’s saga, you never know. It doesn’t seem like it, but it might.

Sega Europe Not Closing Down Despite Rumours Posted: 03 Jun 2012 09:38 AM PDT Rumours of Sega Europe’s death have been greatly exaggerated, according to Sports Interactive’s Miles Jacboson. Despite Twitter talk of the European arm of the Japanese publisher closing and Sega placing emphasis on the digital sector while moving away from console, the recent upheaval seems due more to reorganization within the company ranks. Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation Coming For PS Vita Posted: 03 Jun 2012 09:22 AM PDT There’s still a strong case to be made for the Vita, despite its dismissal out of hand by most analysts. And while sales haven’t been stellar, and neither has its software catalogue so far, things are bound to be looking up, especially with franchises like Assassin’s Creed rumoured to make their home on the platform.

HBO GO Coming To Nintendo Wii U? Posted: 03 Jun 2012 09:12 AM PDT There’s no denying the HBO Go app is a very strong offering from the cable network behind some of the best shows on the planet, its only downside being its restriction to certain ecosystems, at least until now. A new job listing strongly hints at the possibility that Nintendo may be seeing a version of the popular app for its soon to be launched home console.

Gears of War: Judgment Prequel Coming From Bulletstorm Developers Posted: 03 Jun 2012 09:02 AM PDT While the Gears of War trilogy has been wrapped up for a while now, Epic have never been ones for narrative subtlety. As always, if there’s no more room at the end of the story, there’s always room at the front. And it wouldn’t do at all to have the developer behind the braindead but exhilarating Bulletstorm sit idly while there’s still some meat on the Gears of War bone which Epic itself is too busy to pick.

Facebook no longer recommends Google Chrome, goes with Opera instead Posted: 03 Jun 2012 08:53 AM PDT You may have heard some rumors about Facebook being interested in acquiring Opera Software, the makers of the Opera Web browser. Is there any truth to this? We don’t know, but it is looking more likely now as the social networking giant recently removed Google's Chrome Web browser, which is the most popular in the world, from its recommendation list. In it’s place? Opera. © Geeky Gadgets, 2012. | Permalink | Unauthorized duplication and or distribution of our content is strictly forbidden © Geeky Gadgets, 2012 |

Table Fighting: The Absurd New Sport Posted: 03 Jun 2012 04:15 AM PDT I thought that I had seen it all, but Table Fighting is a new one on me. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Tables fighting. ApriPetit, The Latest Talkative and Cute Robot Posted: 03 Jun 2012 04:03 AM PDT Robots are hard to communicate with, but Toshiba wants to remedy that. Which is why their R&D department built ApriPetit, a successor to their larger ApriPoco. This little robot is cute and stands about six inches tall. The idea is that he follows along with the conversation by moving its body and eyes in ways that resemble actual conversation. © Geeky Gadgets, 2012. | Permalink | Unauthorized duplication and or distribution of our content is strictly forbidden © Geeky Gadgets, 2012 |
