Google Chrome Web Store Receives Offline App Section

Google has added a number of new features to their Chrome Web Store, one of which now allows users to download applications that will work without the need for an Internet connection.

However the change will not be immediately visible to many users, as the “Offline Apps” section is nested within the “Collections” portion of the Chrome Store.

Eizo Foris FS2333 Smart Gaming Monitor Unveiled

Eizo has today launched a new gaming monitor in the form of the Foris FS2333. A 23 inch full high definition screen with a 1920 x 1080 native resolution, which has been developed by both Eizo and Fnatic.

One of the features of the new monitor is its all-new tone mapping technology called “Smart Insight” with five settings for real time strategy and first person shooter games.

Acer Iconia Tab A700 Tegra 3 Android Tablet Gets Official

We have heard about Acer’s new Inconia Tab A700 Android tablet before, and now Acer has officially announced the device and will make it available to pre-order today.

The Acer Iconia A700 features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which means it can handle Full HD content in 1080p.

Microsoft To Charge Tablet Manufacturers $85 For Windows RT (Rumor)

Apple’s iOS 6 Gets Jailbroken Before It Is Released

T-Mobile Galaxy Note Passes Through The FCC

The last thing we heard about the Samsung Galaxy Note for T-Mobile was that the handset would launch on the network in the US on the 11th of July, this has yet to be confirmed by T-Mobile.

Apples Attempt To Block Samsung Galaxy S III Launch Fails

Apple recently filed a motion with a court in the US in an attempt to have the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone stopped, and now it would appear that the Judge dealing with the case has decide that Apple’s latest motion will not be heard before Samsung launches the handset on the 21st of June.

Judge Lucy Koh, who has been dealing with the case between Apple and Samsung has said that the case will not be able to be heard by the 21st of June, as it would overload her calendar.

Sony Xperia Tipo Android Smartphone Announced

As well as announcing the new Xperia Miro to its range, Sony also announced the launch of another Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Tipo which will also come with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Sony Xperia Miro Android Smartphone Announced

Sony has added a new Android smartphone to its range with the launch of the Sony Xperia Miro, which is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone that comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.

A new style of gadget has been developed for the military, that will allow soldiers to scale nearly any kind of wall, including glass, rock or stucco surfaces.The Air Force approached the University Research community to design a solution to scaling walls without a grappling hook.

2012 MacBook Air Gets Taken Apart

Apple announced their 2012 MacBook Air earlier this week, and as usual the guys from iFixit have decided to take the new MacBook Air apart to see what is inside.

It appears that apple has tweaked the SSD form factor in their latest MacBook Air, and have switched over to a different flash controller with a Sandforce SATA-III controller chip, have a look at the photos below.

Nokia Maps To Replace Bing Maps In Windows Phone 8

We are expecting Microsoft to launch the next version of their mobile OS, Windows Phone 8 later this year, and now it would appear that Microsoft will no longer use Bing Maps in Windows Phone 8.

WPCentral are reporting that Nokia Maps will be used to replace Bing Maps in Windows Phone 8, and the software will apparently be available on all Windows Phone 8 devices, not just Nokia devices.

Google Street View To Be Investigated By UK Regulator Again

It looks like Google will be investigated by UK regulators over their Google Street View project, according to a recent report the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has decided to reopen their investigation into Street View.

The ICO’s head of enforcement, Steve Eckersley has apparently written  to Google to let them know that they will be investigating what data Google is collecting, and will also require Google to answer further questions.

Samsung Announces TecTiles, Programmable NFC Stickers For Smartphones

Samsung has announced a new accessory for their Galaxy range of smartphones, called TecTiles, which are a range of programmable NFC tags which can be used in conjunction with any of Samsung’s NFC enabled Galaxy devices.

The Samsung TecTiles come with an Android app that can be used to program different functions into each tile, and the TecTiles can be used for launching apps, sending text message, sharing information, changing phone settings and much more.

Resident Evil Raccoon City Studio Lays Off Quarter Of Staff

Blizzard Threatens Permanent Diablo 3 Bans In Wake Of Exploit

A brave new world of getting permanently banned from your single player game is upon us, as Blizzard announced that it’s polishing up its banhammer as the launch of its Real World Money Action House approaches. But while I definitely understand Blizzard’s need to safeguard its game’s economy, the implications are still fairly unsettling.
