| Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, 8.9 And 10.1 To Get Android 4.0 In July Posted: 20 Jun 2012 07:11 AM PDT It looks like some of Samsung’s earlier Galaxy Tab tablets will shortly be getting update to the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will all be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update next month. According to the guys over at Sammobile the updates will start rolling out next month, and will be completed for all of the Galaxy Tab tablets some time in August.

| Amazon App Store Announced For Europe Posted: 20 Jun 2012 06:54 AM PDT Last week we heard a rumor that Amazon where getting ready to launch their Amazon App Store in Europe, the App Store has been available in the US for a while and now Amazon has announced that it will launch in Europe this summer. Amazon’s App Store will launch in the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Spain initially, and Amazon have said that they intend to expand the app store to more countries at a later date.

| Samsung Wins 3G Patent Lawsuit Against Apple In the Netherlands Posted: 20 Jun 2012 06:02 AM PDT Samsung and Apple are engaged in a number of different court case around the world, and now Samsung has just won a case in the Netherlands against Apple relating to 3G patents which are associated with its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. The very same tablet that Apple managed to get banned for sale in Germany, Samsung eventually released the tablet after making some modifications, and now a court in the Hague has found that Apple has infringed on one of four patents relating to 3G and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

| LG Launches Quick Voice For Smartphones In Korea Posted: 20 Jun 2012 03:26 AM PDT First we had Apple with Siri on the iPhone 4S, then we had Samsung with S-Voice on the Samsung Galaxy S III, and now LG is the latest company add voice features to their smartphone range. LG has announced that they will be releasing ‘Quick Voice’ to a range of their Android smartphone in South Korea later this month, and devices like the LG Optimus VU will get it first with other devices like the Optimus LTE II getting quick voice in July.

| Google Responds To UK ICO Street View Investigation Posted: 20 Jun 2012 02:32 AM PDT last week we heard that the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) here in the UK will be looking into Google’s Street View again, and now Google has responded to the news. Google’s response to the ICO was in the form of a letter, which was published by The Telegraph, and Google have basically said that they are surprised by the new ICO investigation.

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 02:26 AM PDT The last thing we heard for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Droid RAZR and the Droid RAZR Maxx was the update would be released on the 12th if June, unfortunately the update didn’t land and and now it looks like we have another possible date. According to the guys over at Droid Life, Motorola will start testing the update on the 22nd of June, and it is expected to be released to everyone by the 27th of June.

| Samsung Releases Source Code For US Versions Of Galaxy S III Posted: 19 Jun 2012 11:20 PM PDT When Samsung released the international version of their Galaxy S III smartphone, the released the source code for the handset shortly after its release, and now Samsung has released the source code for the US versions of the Samsung Galaxy S III which will be available later this week in the US. The Samsung Galaxy S III source code is now available for the AT&T and T-Mobile versions of the handset, the AT&T model source code is available under the model number SGH-I747M whilst the T-Mobile source code is available under the SGH-T999V.
