New Twitter Logo Looks Like Batman, and Sonic

Twitter has a new logo. I guess they wanted a change for whatever reason. However, the new logo still bears a resemblance to the old one. It also now looks like other things. Twitter explicitly forbade the rotation of its logo, and of course that just made people start turning it.

Predator Motorcycle

What do you do if you are Arnold and you’ve just killed yourself a Predator or two? You can always use their skulls to decorate your motorcycle. I imagine it would look something like this one. This motorcycle is all skulls and dreadlocks.

Disney not happy over Netflix and Redbox offering John Carter DVD early

It may have been a failure at the box office, but John Carter is back. And causing some problems. According to the LA Times, Disney isn’t exactly happy with Netflix and Redbox, because they are both offering the shiny new John Carter DVD ahead of the 28-day rental window.

Wii U Estimated Price Around £280

British retailer ShopTo estimates the WiiU’s price at £280, with projected cost per game at around £40. The figure is very much in alignment both with an earlier report from Japanese publication Nikkei, as well as previous hints from Nintendo. ”The first thing I would say is we focus on value,” Nintendo’s Reggie Fils Aime said at E3.

Amalur Dev 38 Studios Liquidated By Rhode Island For “Tens Of Millions”

The last days of Kingdoms of Amalur developer 38 Studios have come and gone following its failure to repay a government-backed loan and as a result, both the company and its IP are now the property of the state of Rhode Island. The good news is that the studio’s assets are said to be valued at “tens of millions”.

Crysis Developer Switching Exclusively To Free To Play After Crysis 3

Despite not even releasing its first F2P game yet, Crytek, the studio behind visual benchmark and occasional FPS Crysis has announced that following wrap-up of projects currently in development, it will be switching exclusively to an F2P business model. The studio is currently working on Crysis 3, Homefront 2 and Ryse, as well as the upcoming free to play online FPS which kicked off this turn of events, Warface.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Made Possible By Other Yearly Sequels

As multi-million dollar blockbuster releases take a back seat to smaller projects with less risk, the AAA  franchises that survive do so by finding other ways of  spreading mounting costs. Assassin’s Creed, for instance, did it by quickly knocking up the subpar Brotherhood and Revelations, both of which wound up financing development for the true sequel.
