Columbia Sportswear wants to revolutionize air conditioning by using a chemical compound in their new fabrics. What it does is cool the wearer according to the temperature of their surrounding environment. That’s putting it simply. What Columbia wants to do is become the leading brand in temperature adjusting clothes. To achieve this, they’re introduced a special fabric type.

Designer Christian Sallustro thinks he has created a real game changer here. A vacuum glove that allows you (and possibly anyone else occupied with cleaning a chance to swipe and suck all those icky microbes in your loft.

In what amounts to the ultimate hybrid, steam, solar, and natural gas will join forces for a hyper efficient plant that can prove a short cut to reducing emissions in emerging economies.

Lego Super Star Destroyer Invades Stores Come September

We’re talking about a 50 inch replica of the Executor, the fearsome Star Destroyer that figured so prominently in the first trilogy of the Star Wars saga. What’s really awesome about this particular Lego model is there’s a surprise waiting inside the ship. Yes, inside the ship.

So much for all that superhyped testing. The formidable railgun, which could have changed the notion and purpose of artillery had it entered service with the US Navy, has gone down the route of the Comanche stealth attack helicopter, the Crusader program, the OICW, and the vaunted F22, which at least had the benefit of a hundred or so orders from the Air Force.

Sad to say, the inter-war flying behemoths were plagued by bad press and catastrophic accidents that doomed them to obsolescence. Several generations since, the only remaining impression of airships likely stems from a scene in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. How unfortunate.
