Camera Lens Cap holder Keeps Up with that Cap for You

Back when I used a point and shoot camera that had a removable lens cap, the cap had a little thing on the inside that would grip the neck strap and stay put when taken off. I loved that and was sad to see when I move to a DSLR that I was responsible for keeping up with that lens cap. That means that I often end up misplacing the cap for my camera.

Pulse iOS News Reader Now Provides Offline Viewing Via Pulse.me

Pulse have just rolled out a new update to their iOS news reader application which now includes a bookmark service using Pulse’s new Pulse.me service, its first ever web component.

Using the new Pulse.me, service you can save a story on your iPhone on the train ride to work, and finish reading it on your desktop at the office, or even on your iPad. All you need do is tap the star on the bottom right corner of each story.

iOS 5 Running On The iPhone 3GS (Video)

When Apple announced yesterday the latest version of its mobile OS, iOS 5, they also announced which devices the update would be available for which include the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G and 4G and the iPad and iPad 2.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations E3 Debut Trailer (video)

Another highly anticipated game has revealed a few more secrets at E3 today with the unveiling of the new Assassin’s Creed: Revelations debut trailer.

Assassin creeds will feature three playable characters, a series first, as players play as Altair, Ezio and Desmond during the course of the game. HTC Sensation Headed To AT&T?

The new HTC Sensation recently went on sale here in the UK, and there is a 4G model launching in the US next week on the 15th of June, but now it seems that the HTC Sensation may also be headed to AT&T in the US.

According to a recent FCC filing, the HTC Sensation has recently received FCC approval with compatible AT&T 3G/4G bands, which should mean that it will be available with AT&T in the not too distant future.

CineXPlayer iPad Media Player Adds 3D Live Conversion Option

The great media player for iPad CineXPlayer has just released a new update that has revamped the media playing application with some new user interface tweaks and a number of new utilities. CineXPlayer now allows you to start transferring and watching your favorite movies without conversion, in HD, and even in 3D straight away.

The new update now makes CineXPlayer one of the first platforms to come enabled with both 2D to 3D conversion, enabling users to watch all their favourite 2D movies in 3D via an in-app purchase for the live 3D convertor.

Viewsonic ViewBook 730 Android Tablet Announced (Video)

Viewsonic has added another Android tablet to its line up with the launch of the ViewBook 730, and it features a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels, and it will come with Android 2.2 Froyo.

Processing is provided by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, and there is also 512MB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage, plus there is a micro SD card slot that can take up to a 32GB card.

Microsoft’s New Xbox 360 Dashboard Previewed

Microsoft will be releasing an update to its Xbox 360 Dashboard later this year, and the guys over at Destructoid have got their hands on some preview shots of how the new dashboard will look.

As you can see from the photos Microsoft has obviously taken some of the design inspiration for the new Xbox 360 Dashboard from Windows Phone 7 and Windows 8, and it will bring a range of new features to the Xbox 360.

Looxcie 2 Wearable Camcorder Announced

Looxcie has launched a new version of their wearable camcorder, the Looxcie 2, and you could be forgiven for thinking it looks like a Bluetooth headset, the latest version is almost half the size of the original model and around 20 percent lighter.

The Looxcie 2 comes in two different versions, one with 4GB of storage andf the other with 8GB of storage, and it can record video in in either a 320 or 480 pixel resolution.

Google has just rolled out a new update to its calendar service with the addition of a new ‘Appointment Slots’ feature. Which now allows you to let others know about your preferred availability, now using appointment slots in Google Calendar, any individual or business can manage appointment availability online 24/7.

Sony PS Vita 3G To be AT&T Exclusive In The US

Yesterday Sony officially announced the new PS Vita, formerly known as the Sony NGP, and it will be available in two different versions, a WiFi only model and a WiFi and 3G model.

It looks like the WiFi and 3G PS Vita will be sold exclusively through AT&T in the US, and no doubt you will have to sign up to a mobile data contract to purchased the 3G model, there are no details on how much this will cost as yet.

Skype Is Down, Skype Says Only Small Number Of Users Affected, Fix On The Way

A couple of hours ago, Skype suffered their second major outage in just over a week, although the company says that the outage has only affected a ‘small number of users’, many Skype users don’t agree and the problem seems to be a lot bigger than Skype is letting on.

Many users from many countries around the world are currently unable to log in to Skype, and when they finally get logged in, they will notice that none of their friends appear to be online.

Fable: The Journey E3 Trailer (video)

The fourth game in the Fable series will be released as a Kinect game, which could be a good or a bad idea. As the new game currently under development will be an on-rails game with choices on the paths you take throughout the game.

Using Kinect motion gestures will allow you to cast magic spells to battle your enemies along the way. For example; Draw a shield and a protective barrier appears; Pull your hands apart like you’re tightening a knot and you create a lightning bolt. The game will also include a creating mode to create spells and other useful items for your quest.

HTC HD7S Now Available From AT&T

We heard a while back that the new HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7 smartphone would be coming to AT&T, good news if you have been waiting to get your hands on one as the HTC HD7S is now available from AT&T in the US.

The HTC HD7S is available for $199.99 and you will have to sign up fopr a new two year contract with AT&T, and this is the fourth Windows Phone 7 device to be available with AT&T.

Apple’s iOS 5 Gets Jailbroken

Apple only announced iOS 5yesterday and released the developer version of iOS 5, and it seems that the guys over at the iPhone Dev team have already managed to jailbreak iOS 5.

According to @MuscleNerd iOS was jailbroken using limera1n and a tethered boot, you can see in the photo below that iOS 5 is running Cydia.

HP TouchPad Captured Running Flash 10.1 (video)

HP’s new Touch Pad is expected to start shipping later this month and will be equipped with HP's new tablet version of webOS, webOS 3.0.

At the recent Qualcomm conference the HP TouchPad was captured on video running Flash 10.1 and after having numerous problems with certain tablet manufacturers actually plays smoothly on the new HP TouchPad. Watch the video to see Flash 10.1 in action after the break.

Skype Goes Down Again For Many Around The World (Updated)

Just a week after Skype recovered from a major outage, it looks like Skype has gone down again with many users around the world reporting that they are unable to log in to the service.

There are no details as yet as what has caused the latest Skype outage, many users are met with the following ‘singing in’ screen when they try to log in to skype, and it just hangs there for a few minutes and then you get the ‘Skype can’t connect’ message.

Financial Times Lauches HTML 5 Web App And Cuts Out Apple

The Financial Times has become the first news publisher to walk away from paying the 30 percent commission Apple has now requested from publishers for subscriptions via their web apps.

The new Financial Times have now created their very own Web Application which is currently free to access for the first month and will then cost users a monthly fee if they read over ten articles a month. However no indication of the monthly costs have yet been released by the Financial Times.

Acer Announces New Aspire TimelineX Notebooks

Acer has added three new notebooks to its line up with the launch of the Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830T, the 4830T and the 5830T, the TimelineX 3830T features a 13.3 inch display, whilst the 4830T features a 14 inch display and the 5830T features a 15.6 inch display.

All three TimelineX notebooks come with a range of Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors with Turbo Boost, and there is also Dolby Home Theater v4 audio, plus a integrated graphics.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures Demo (Video)

As well as announcing the new Halo 4, and showing off a new trailer of Kinect Star Wars , Microsoft also announced a few other new games for the Xbox 360, one of those has been produced in conjunction with Disney and is called Kinect Disneyland Adventures.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures will give you a virtual tour of a range of Disney worlds, and there are also mini games available to play within the virtual worlds, have a look at the video below.

God Of War : Origins Collection E3 Trailer (video)

At E3 2011 during their keynote Sony has unveiled new footage of their new God Of War:Origins Collection which is a combination of God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta recreated for the PS3.

The new God Of War:Origins game has been created as a new HD-enhanced version of the  PSP titles for the PS3 complete with 3D, trophy support, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and are DualShock compatible.

Apple Didn’t Tell Mobile Carriers About iMessage

When Apple announced iOS 5 yesterday, one of the new apps that was unveiled it called iMessage, it is basically a messaging app that will let you send and receive messages to other iOS devices similar to BlackBerry Messaging.

If you and your friends or family all have iOS devices, then Apple’s new iMessage could totally replace text messaging, and the service doesn’t have any costs associated with it apart from using data from your carrier data allowance.

Sony Details PlayStation Suite For Android Smartphones

We have heard about Sony’s new PlayStation Suite for Android smartphone before, and Sony has released more details as this years E3, basically the PlayStation Suite is a store for Android smartphones and tablets that will sell official PlayStation games for your smartphone or tablet.

Dust 514 Persistent Shooter, Connects With EVE Online, E3 Trailer (video)

At E3 EVE Online developer CCP Games has showcased new footage of their new first person persistent shooter game Dust 514 they are currently developing that will be linked with the MMOPG game EVE Online.

Dust 514 is an upcoming console-based MMOFPS and will be the first developed by CCP Games since the launch of EVE Online, and will feature users fighting ground battles in wars on planets in within the EVE Online gaming universe. Watch the video after the break to see gameplay and the E3 demo.

Apple’s MobileMe Will Close June 30th 2012 To Be Replaced By iCloud

When Apple announced iCloud at yesterdays WWDC 2011, they also announced that the service would replace their current MobileMe offering, and existing users will be able to continue to use MobileMe until the 30th of June 2012.

MobileMe is basically now a closed service, as you can no longer sign up for a new account and you also cannot upgrade your existing account to a Family Pack account or add any additional storage to your existing package.

Nyko Unveils Its Shock n Rock Cradle For The Nintendo 3DS

As well as their new Zoom for Kinect device, Nyko has also unveiled its new Shock n Rock cradle designed for the Nintendo 3DS. The new cradle provides an extended battery together with vibration feedback and four powerful speakers.

Within the Nyko Shock n Rock Cradle the 4 additional speakers and vibration feedback are powered by a rechargeable battery housed inside that works in conjunction with the 3DS' internal battery to provide upwards of 3x the gameplay time. The new Nyko Shock n Rock Cradle is now available to purchase for $40.

Halo 4 Announced (Video)

As well as showing off the new Kinect Star Wars at yesterdays E3 Microsoft also announced a number of other games that will be coming to the Xbox 360, one of those is the fourth installment in the Halo saga, Halo 4.

The previous Halo games were produced by Bungie for Microsoft, but the two companies have now parted company and Halo 4 is being produced by 343 Industries for Microsoft.

Nyko Unveils Zoom for Kinect At E3 For Gameplay In Smaller Rooms

At E3 Nyko has unveiled its new wears for gamers which includes a new ‘Zoom for Kinect’ a new lens device that attaches to the front of your Kinect sensor. Designed and created to allow interactive gameplay with Microsofts Kinect controller in smaller rooms.

The Zoom for Kinect consists of a a clip-on lens enabling those with smaller living spaces to use the Kinect, reducing the distance required by “up to 40%.”

Microsoft gave us another look at thier new Kinect Star Wars game which is headed to the Xbox 360 and the Microsoft Kinect later this year, and they have now released a new video which gives us a better look at the game play.

You will be able to control the characters in the game with you voice and also body and hand movements, including being able to use a lightsaber with just hand movements.

Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel

Microsoft has this week at E3 has revealed their new Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel which is a three-fourths wheel that will ship alongside the new Forza Motorsport 4 game when it launches later this year.

The Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel is equipped with all the standard controls including buttons, d-pad, and triggers. Together with haptic feedback complete with rumbles and LED illumination on the handles.

Sony Announces PlayStation 24 Inch 3D LCD Display

As well as announcing the new PS Vita (NGP at this years E3, Sony also announced a new 24 inch PlayStation 3D display, which will be capable of displaying Full HD video and games in 1080p.

The PlayStation 3D display features a two player mode that will deliver two individual 3D screens, which means that each player will get their own screen view of the 3D action on the same display in both co-op or head to head gaming modes.

Apple’s iOS 5 In Action (Video)

Yesterday at WWDC 2011 Apple announced iOS which will bring a wide range of new features to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, including new notifications, iMessage, Newsstand, Reminders, Twitter integration, a new camera app, a new photo app, an updated version of Safari, and the ability to update your iOS device Over The Air (OTA).

There are over 200 new features in iOS, and Apple released iOS 5.0 Beta to developers yesterday, in the two videos below we get a brief look at how iOS 5 will work, including some of the new features like iCloud.

Will Apple Release The iPhone 5 With iOS 5 This Fall?

We have been hearing rumors over the last few months that Apple wouldn’t release a new iPhone at this years WWDC 2011, this was confirmed yesterday when the focus of WWDC was software and no new hardware was released.

Apple showed us iOS 5 with a wide range of new features, and over 1500 new API’s for developers, but where does that leave the iPhone 5, will Apple release it in the fall at the same time as iOS 5.

Apple’s WWDC 2011 Keynote Video Now Available

Sony PS Vita (NGP) Official, $249 Before The End Of 2011

We have been hearing rumors over the last week that Sony’s Next Generation Portable, which we saw earlier this year would be called the Sony PS Vita, and this has now been confirmed by Sony at this years E3.

The Sony PS Vita will go on sale before the end of the year and it will retail for $249.99, it features a 5 inch multitouch OLED display, plus a multitouch pad on the rear, there are also two analog sticks on the front.

iTunes 10.3, And iOS App Give Us A Look At iCloud

Yesterday after Apple’s WWDC 2011, where they showed us new features in Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 and the new iCloud service Apple released an update to their iTunes app for Mac and PC, the latest version is iTunes 10.3.

Apple also updated their iTunes app for iOS devices, it seems this update was automatic without any need for a download, and you can now see apps you have purchased by not installed on your iOS device.

AT&T Says Windows Phones Not Selling To Expectations

It’s pretty obvious Microsoft didn’t expect WP7 to set the world alight right away. We mean, it doesn’t even have one single solitary memorable device and when you think Windows Phone 7 device you still pretty much think Android device with an OS makeover.
