LEGO has announced a new Technic set that is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of a car I had never heard of called the Mercedes Unimog. Remember when Batman was seemingly out cold after he wrecked the Joker’s 18 wheeler rampage? One of the Joker’s henchmen tries to unmask the downed caped crusader when zap! He gets electrocuted. Anyway, this post has little to do with the Batman.

The browsers to be axed include : Firefox 3.5, Internet Explorer 7, and Safari 3 and Google warns if you continue using the browsers to access Google App they may cause problems with certain features in Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Docs and Google Sites, and eventually these apps may stop working entirely. | Sony NGP To Be Called The PS Vita? Posted: 02 Jun 2011 07:19 AM PDT There have been a number of rumors over the last week that Sony’s Next Generation Portable (NGP) would be called the Sony Vita, and now more evidence has appeared that would point to PS Vita being the official name for the NGP. One of the guys from the NeoGaf forums spotted a reference to ‘PS Vita’ in the source code of Sony’s PlayStation website, and the guys over at Kotaku have also discovered that Sony owns the trademark for the PS Vita name.

| Toshiba Thrive Android Tablet Lands In July For $429 Posted: 02 Jun 2011 06:15 AM PDT Toshiba’s latest Android tablet, the Toshiba Thrive will go on sale in July, and the Thrive will be available to pre-order from the 13th of June and it will retail for $439 and comes with Android 3.1 Honeycomb. The Toshiba Thrive features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.

| Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Hits The US June 17th, Pre-orders From 8th June Posted: 02 Jun 2011 05:57 AM PDT Samsung has just announced that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will go on sale in the US from the 17th of June, and you will be able to pre-order Samsung’s latest Android tablet from the 8th of June, when it will also go on sale at the Best Buy store in New York. We know that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab will ship with Android 3.1 Honeycomb, as this was officially confirmed by Samsung last week, and prices start at $499 for the 16GB model and $599 for the 32GB model.

| Viewsonic ViewPad 10H Android Honeycomb Tablet Posted: 02 Jun 2011 05:49 AM PDT ViewSonic has shown off a new version of their 10 inch Android tablet at this years Computex, the Viewsonic ViewPad 10h, which is the companies first Android tablet to come with Android Honeycomb. The Viewsonic ViewPad 10h features an 10 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display, and it is powered by a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, there is also a five megapixel camera on the back with an LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front.

| T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit 4G And Samsung Gravity Smart Announced Posted: 02 Jun 2011 05:08 AM PDT Last month we heard that the Samsung Exhibit 4G was headed to T-Mobile, and now T-Mobile has officially confirmed the launch of the Samsung Exhibit 4G as well as the new Samsung Gravity Smart. The Samsung Exhibit 4G will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features a 1GHz processor, plus a 3 megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera up front for video chat.

| Apple To Release New AirPort Devices Next Week? Posted: 02 Jun 2011 04:37 AM PDT According to recent reports from a number of Apple stores around the US, some of Apple’s AirPort devices are either low on stock or completely out of stock, which could mean that Apple has some new AirPort devices to introduce at next weeks WWDC. According to TUAW, some Airport Express models are out of stock, as well as the AirPort Extreme and Apple’s Time Capsule, is this just a coincidence? Considering that Apple are going to show off their new iCloud service next week, it could mean that we will see a new range of AirPort devices which work with Apple’s new iCloud service.

Google announced their new Google Offers service back in April and started taking orders for coupons in New York, San Francisco and areas of Portland shortly after. The new service has been developed to compete with Groupon and was started after Google missed out on purchasing the Groupon company for an estimated $6 billion. | Apple Takes Over iCloud.com Domain Posted: 02 Jun 2011 04:25 AM PDT We heard earlier today that Apple has filed for the iCloud trademarks in Europe, they purchased the iCloud.com domain name a while back, but it remained registered to the previous owner until now. Apple purchased iCloud.com from Xcerion for a reported $4.5 million, and the company renamed their cloud service CloudMe, and have also transferred the trademarks for iCloud in the US to Apple.

To be able to benefit from the new tethering Vodafone customers must be on one of the new pricing plans revealed today. | Nintendo’s 3DS Update Coming 6th June Posted: 02 Jun 2011 04:11 AM PDT Nintendo announced a while back that they would be releasing the new update for the 3DS on the 7th of June, but now it looks like it will arrive a day early on the 6th of June. The update to the Nintendo 3DS will add a number of new features to the 3DS, which include an Internet browser and access to the Nintendo eShop.

| Latest Mac Defender Malware Bypasses Apple’s Security Update Posted: 02 Jun 2011 02:25 AM PDT Yesterday Apple released their software update to deal with the Mac Defender malware that has been causing Mac users problems over the last few weeks, and now it seems that another version of the malware has been released which bypasses Apple’s latest security update. According to Zdnet, the new version of the malware is called Mdinstall.pkg, and it has been specifically designed to get past Apple’s latest malware blocking code.

| Google’s +1 Button For Websites Goes Live Posted: 02 Jun 2011 02:05 AM PDT Google announced their new +1 sharing button back in March, and it has now officially launched the +1 button for websites, which will let you share your favourite websites with your friends. In order to use the Google +1 button, you will need to be signed in to your Google account, and Google is rolling it out to all its major sites, which include YouTube, Blogger, the Android Market and more.

| Huawei Announces MediaPad Tablet Posted: 02 Jun 2011 01:02 AM PDT We just got an email from the guys over at Huawei to let us know they have a special event planned for the 21st of June, where they will introduce a new tablet, called the Huawei MediaPad. The email didn’t actually give us any specifications on this new tablet, all we know is Huawei will announce it at the CommunicAsia 2011 event in Singapore which takes place from the 21st to the 24th of June.

| HP May License webOS To Other Smartphone Manufacturers Posted: 02 Jun 2011 12:53 AM PDT When HP purchased Palm and their webOS mobile operating system, the company announced that they would be investing heavily in webOS, we have already seen the first smartphones and tablets that use HP’s new webOS, with the new HP TouchPad tablet due to go on sale later this month. Now it seems that HP may have bigger plans for webOS than just its own tablets and smartphones, as it appears that the company may license webOS to other smartphone and tablet manufacturers.

| Apple Files iCloud Trademarks In Europe Posted: 02 Jun 2011 12:16 AM PDT Apple has filed trademark applications in Europe, for its new iCloud service which will officially be unveiled at next weeks World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC 2011), which will begin on Monday the 6th of June. Apple has filed the iCloud trademark under 12 different classes which cover a wide range of things which include online social networking, electronic storage, digital music, computer software, electronic books and magazines and many more. We are expecting Apple to announce music streaming with its new iCloud service next Monday, and we have also heard that Apple may introduce video streaming some time in the future. From the looks of all the different categories Apple has applied for the patents for, it would seem that Apple has much bigger plans for their iCloud service that just music and video streaming. | Twitter Launches Photo Sharing Service, Plus New Search Features (Video) Posted: 01 Jun 2011 11:59 PM PDT We have been hearing rumors over the last few days that Twitter would be launching their own photo sharing service, and it has now officially been confirmed and you will be able to use Twitter to share your images with your friends. Twitter will feature photo sharing built in, you will be able to upload a photo direct to Twitter and then automatically share it with your followers. Twitter has also announced a new version of their search feature.
