The display is called the Touch Monitor e2239FwT. The screen is an LCD with LED backlighting and is made to work with your desktop or notebook computers. Posted: 23 Jun 2011 08:47 AM PDT If you are a fan of the early space invaders games as I am then your going to enjoy this Romain Jerome Space Invaders Watch that comes with either a colour space invader face or a monotone black and white face pictured after the jump. The Space Invader watch has been designed to recall some of the fun and playfulness, together with the novelty of the late 1970s video game and is the first high end watch to be based on a video game. The process of obtaining and licensing the Space Invaders name from Taito for a high end watch was apparently fairly difficult, but eventually negotiated.

The Google TV "Fishtank" program invitations were mentioned at the recent Google I/O, the invitation allow a select few developers to enjoy a little Google TV 2.0 time before an official SDK is released by Google.

32Gbps PCI Express Cables Under Development Posted: 23 Jun 2011 06:07 AM PDT It has been revealed by the PCI Special Interest Group at their annual developer conference, that a new PCIe cable is currently under development that could bring 32Gbps speeds to PCIe cables by 2013. The new development is a variation on PCI Express 3.0 that would challenge the new super fast Thunderbolt format currently in use by Apple and Intel. The yet to be named new format would be capable of transferring data at three times the speed with eight billion transfers per second, using the same peak four lanes of data over distances of up to 3 meters or 10ft. Google Launches New DOM Snitch Chrome Extension To Keep You Safe From Malicious JavaScript Posted: 23 Jun 2011 05:30 AM PDT Google has this week announced via its security blog a new tool its created called the DOM Snitch which is an experimental Chrome extension that enables developers to identify insecure practices commonly found in client-side code. The new tool is a passive in-browser tool and once a JavaScript call has been detected within the client-side code, DOM Snitch records the document URL and a complete stack trace that will help assess if the intercepted call can lead to cross-site scripting, mixed content, insecure modifications to the same-origin policy for DOM access, or other client-side issues. Crytek has today announced that a new update to their Crysis 2 game will now indeed bring with it support for DirectX 11 support within the game which will improve the graphics for many players. It was thought that the Crysis 2 game would launch with DirectX 11 support but now a few months later the update will bring much improved visuals to systems that will support DirectX 11 and also smaller improvements to other systems. Of course this date has yet to be confirmed with Sony, although November does seem like a good launch date for the PS Vita, as it is just in time for the Christmas shopping rush, and Sony are probably hoping that the PS Vita will be on every gamers list this Christmas. Vizio Unveils New Vtab1008 Android Tablet Posted: 22 Jun 2011 10:02 PM PDT Vizio has this week unveiled its new Vtab1008 Android tablets its just added to its range, an the one we first glimpsed during Vizio's Rose Bowl advert first shown back in January this year. The new tablet has been designed specifically to be a Wi-Fi only tablet and features an 8 inch, 1024 x 768 resolution, capacitive touchscreen display powered by a 1GHz processor.
