Ten One Design Unveils Fling mini Joysticks for Mobile Devices

A while back, we talked about the cool Ten One Design Fling joystick devices for the iPad and other touchscreen gadgets. The things stuck to the screen of your touch device with suction cups and gave the virtual controls of some games a real world feel. The company has now unveiled a smaller version of the Fling joystick called the Fling mini.

Adobe CEO Buries Hatchet With Apple

The Adobe-Apple feud seemed to be winding down now for a while now and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen was on hand to discuss why at the D9 conference. For those of you hoping for a mature low-key resolution, well, that’s exactly what happened. For those of you hoping for a resolution involving Flash on Apple’s devices, that still isn’t happening and Adobe for its part still maintains the real reason behind Apple’s decision is of course protecting the App Store against Flash interlopers.

iShuttr iPhone 4 Camera Accessory Case

Earlier today we featured a cool camera accessory for the iPhone 4, called the Red Pop, now we have another one called the iShuttr that is designed to add more features to the camera on your iPhone 4.

The iShuttr is a case for the iPhone 4 that features a built in flash, as well as physical buttons for snapping your photos and also zooming in and out, it also features a built in rechargeable battery that can be recharged via USB, plus it has a built in tripod mount.

Google Rolls Out New Images Search Features

Google has launched a few new updates to its images searches in the past 48 hours designed to help users find images quicker from the main search area of the Google site.

Many of the features Google introduced to its images specific search a little while back, have now been rolled out into its main search results. Images within a search now appear in a tiled layout, with hover previews providing you with a larger thumbnail together with more information about a particular image.

New Asus Eee PC Netbooks To Come With Ubuntu

When Asus launched the first Eee PC netbook a few years ago it came with Linux, this enabled Asus to sell the Eee PC’s as cheap as possible, although Microsoft released a version of Windows designed for netbooks, which saw many manufacturers use Windows as their netbook OS.

Now Asus has announced that it has three new Netbooks in the works that will come with Linux as the OS, the Asus Eee PC 1001 PXD, 1011 PX and 1015 PX will all come with Ubuntu 10.1.

Buffalo Unveils 512GB SATA III 6Gbps SSD

Buffalo has added a new 512GB SATA III solid state drive to their range this week with the immanent launch of their new SSD-N512S/MC400 on to the Japanese market. The new SSD-N512S/MC400 is capable of a 405MB/s of data transfer rate (reading speed).

Polar USA has this week unveiled their latest wrist training computer the Polar RCX5 together with some new accessories to measure your fitness and training schedules. The new Polar RCX5 has been design for athletes who want the best in training intelligence and tracking capabilities.

New accessories for the RCX5 include a G5 GPS sensor that measures speed/pace and distance and provides an online map view of training, together with the WearLink+ Hybrid transmitter, that provides heart rate data even when underwater.

Microsoft To Launch Xbox Live Diamond TV Service At E3

According to a recent report by Win Rumors, Microsoft is getting ready to launch an Xbox Live subscription service at this years E3, which is reported to be called Xbox Live Diamond.

Apple Reportedly Paying Record Companies $150 Million For iCloud Deals

We heard earlier today that Apple intends to offer its new iCloud service for free when it launches and then start charging users $25 to use the service later on, and now it seems that Apple is putting major investment behind iCloud in an attempt to get it off the ground.

Both Google and Amazon offer music stremaing services, although they don’t offer all the services that Apple are likely to announce on Monday as they don’t have any deals with the record labels.

Pentax Launches O-GPS1 DSLR Adapter With New ‘AstroTracer’ Function

Pentax has unveiled this week a new adapter it has added to its range to provide convenient GPS geotagging. By simply mounting the O-GPS1 onto the hotshoe of a PENTAX DSLR camera (compatible models are the K-5, K-r and 645D as of May 2011), the user can record the latitude, longitude, altitude, universal time coordinated (UTC) and aspect of shooting locations onto photographs.

EA Reveals Steam Competitor Origin

Now this is interesting, EA is apparently joining the ranks of PC digital distribution platform also-rans with a new service called Origin. Not much is known about the fledgling service except the peculiarity of its name, seemingly lifted from one of EA’s early purchases, Ultima creator Richard Garriott’s Origin studio.

MeeGo Gets Installed On The Nook Color (Video)

The Nook Color has been a favourite of Android developers for a while now, the last hack we saw was Android 3.0 ported on to the Nook Color, and now the latest mobile OS to land on the Nook Color is MeeGo.

It apparently took about one week to get MeeGo working on the Nook Color, which includes working WiFi and the Touchscreen and hardware button, have a look at the video of it in action below.

Kingston Wi-Drive iPad SSD Streams To 4 Users Simultaneously

Kingston have this week unveiled a new external SSD storage system designed for iPad users called the Kingston Wi-Drive. Their new solid state drive has been designed to provide an easy method to add extra storage to your iPad or iPad 2 device and is equipped with 802.11 Wi-fi.

Kingston is promising up to 4 hours of battery life from the internal battery and has designed the Wi-Drive to be able to stream multiple file content to four Apple iPad devices simultaneously.

HTC Makes Its Sense UI Open Source

HTC has announced the OpenSense SDK and HTCdev, which will make the companies Sense UI available to developers for customization and the ability to create applications for HTC’s Sense 3.0.

HTC has also announced HTCdev, which will give developers a range of tools and resources to build applications for HTC’s Sense, and they are also releasing a range of tutorials and support documents to help developers get started.

The news come just a week after HTC had announced that they were removing their locked bootloader policy from HTC’s range of Android smartphones. HTC have also said that they will provide regular updates to the OpenSense SDK as well as improvements that will be based on developer feedback.

Mitsubishi Creates 10 Million Pixel OLED Globe

To showcase its latest OLED display technology Mitsubishi has created a 6m wide OLED globe to take pride of place in Tokyo’s National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Replacing the older light emitting diode (LED) globe with scalable OLED technologies.

The new innovative OLED globe has a resolution of over 10 million pixels spread across 10,3620 PMOLED panels, each measuring 96 square millimeters, and uses the curved technology Mitsubishi showcased at ISE 2011.

Sony Previews NGP (PS Vita) Games (Video)

10,000 Piece Lego Star Wars Sandcrawler (video)

Using 10,000 Lego pieces and nine months of hard graft, master Lego builder ”Marshal Banana” has created a remote control Lego re-creation of a Star Wars Sandcrawler.

The Lego Sandcrawler is complete with lights, working treads, remote control ramp and working crane, together with a working interior conveyor belt. Inside it has three floors in the front half of the model and a detailed cockpit with removable roof, a second crane in the back of the workshop and lighted smelter. Watch the video after the jump to see the Lego Star Wars Sandcrawler in action.

Sony Ericsson Announces 20 New Games For Xperia Play

Sony Ericsson has announced a total of 20 new games that are headed to the Xperia Play this year, and Sony will demo many of them at this years E3, the games include some we heard about recently like Minecraft, and other titles include Battlefiled Bad Company 2, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Shadow Vanguard, Dungeon Hunter 2 and many more.

You can see a full list of the new games headed to the Xperia below, and it includes some new Android games which will be exclusive to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.

Escalation, is available to purchase and download on Steam for $14.99 and includes everything other game consoles have been enjoying for some time.

Steam is also providing a few extra goodies this weekend for Black Ops fans offering a free multiplayer weekend, enabling anybody to download the game and sample its multiplayer side absolutely free on PC. From now until June 5 at 1pm PT, and all XP earned in multiplayer will also be doubled.

Kogan Chromium OS Laptop Announced

Kogan has launched the first Chromium OS powered laptop in Australia and the UK, the Kogan Agora, which is an ultra portable laptop powered by Google’s Chromium OS.

The Kogan Agora features an Intel Celeron 1.3GHz processor, there is also 1GB of DDR2 RAM, which can be expanded up to 4GB, plus a 30GB Solid State Drive (SSD).

Micron Unveils PCI Express RealSSD P320h

Micron has announced its latest solid state drive PCI Express creation with the unveiling of its new Micron RealSSD P320h. The new super-fast PCI-Express solid state drive has been designed for enterprise applications like cloud computing, high-performance computing, data analytics, business intelligence, and video on demand.

The new SSD gets its name from the 34nm SLC (single-level cell) NAND Flash and a high-grade controller its equipped with. Enabling it to deliver sequential read/write speeds of up to 3 GB/s.

Apple’s iCloud To Be Free At Launch, Then $25 A year

Apple will officially unveil iCloud next Monday at this years World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), and we are expecting iCloud to allow you to stream music from the cloud to your iOS device.

As yer we don’t really have many details about the new iCloud service, although according to a recent report by the LA Times, iCloud will initially be available as a free service to users who download music from Apple’s iTunes store.

Lara Croft Returns In Tomb Raider “Turning Point” Debut Trailer (video)

Apple Signs Deal With Universal Music For iCloud

We already know that Apple has signed deals with three of the four major records labels, and we heard recently that Apple was in discussion with Universal Music to sign the final deal they would need to launch their iCloud music streaming service.

Apple had already signed deals with EMI, Warner Music, and Sony Music, and Universal Music were the final company that Apple needed in order to offer more services with iCloud than the unlicensed offerings from both Google and Amazon.

Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill HD Remakes Heading To Xbox 360, PS3

You read that right, Hideo Kojima’s movies with gameplay bits tacked on are coming to Microsoft’s console, marking their non-Sony platform debut. Well at least for Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker, which are the only ones confirmed. There’s no word on the first game in the series or whether either game will come in the re-released Substance and Subsistence versions.

Sony Pictures Hacked, A Million Passwords Lifted

Good news everyone, Sony is about to single-handedly reverse the global economic crisis. All we have to do is retrain as network security experts and Sony is sure to have steady and gainful employment for all 6.9 billion of us in perpetuity. Make that 6.8, since we’d still need some hackers.
