RSA Replacing Customer’s SecurID Keys In Wake Of Breach

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 06:05 PM PDT

As the recent Lockheed Martin security breach eloquently showed, RSA’s stolen data from their own hack a few months back has compromised their ability to provide their customers with adequate security to an alarming degree. Remember the uproar over the PSN hack that floored the service and exposed millions of credit card numbers? You can probably imagine just how much more serious a hack affecting a defence contractor is, especially in light of Executive Chairman Art Coviello’s assertion that the attackers hoped to ”target defense secrets and related IP, rather than financial gain.”

Nintendo Wii U Using IBM Watson Technology

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 05:38 PM PDT

We realize you were halfway through dialing your Xbox-owning friends to rub it in just after you read that headline, but don’t get too excited just yet. True, IBM has let slip that the 45nm custom silicon inside Nintendo’s newly unveiled Wii U was provisioned with serious amounts of  DRAM and uses a lot of the tricks Big Blue has learned in manufacturing the supercomputer brain that beat out the Jeopardy contestants, but considering the amount of video streaming that chip will have to do to constantly feed video output to at least three sources at once (TV screen plus at least two touchscreen controllers), we’re pretty sure it’s going to have its hands full.

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 05:18 PM PDT

Looks like the new Nintendo Wii U has brought the third parties out of the woodwork and they seem strangely unconcerned about Nintendo’s well known dominance as a publisher on its own platform. The Wii U will see some major Nintendo series debuts, including Sony staple Tekken and an exclusive Ninja Gaiden 3 just for Nintendo’s new toy.

Nintendo Reveals Wii U, aka Project Cafe, Wii 2

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 04:24 PM PDT

Nintendo’s E3 keynote has come and gone and all that’s left behind is a sort of giddy confusion among gamers and the press. It turns out almost every Wii 2 leak we’ve seen over the last few months was pretty much spot on. See the vial? That’s Cambridge crude. The crude is a mix of anode and cathode parts that, when poured into an EV’s tank, can run the car. Innovation!
