I’ve never been a huge fan of Sony or its products. On the technology front, I think Sony hardware is typically overpriced compared to similar offerings from other manufacturers. Sony is a massive company and it has its fingers in things other than technology products and hardware, including movies.

Pandora Outs July Statistics

Pandora has offered up some interesting statistics for the month of July 2012 for its audience of listeners. The company is talking about how many hours users listened to its service during the month and how much of an increase the service racked up compared to previous months and previous years. The number of listener hours for Pandora is impressive.

Rovio teases new female Angry Birds character

Angry Birds has been around for awhile and it has many versions, but despite this, it remains popular. It seems like Rovio is into milking this franchise for everything it can get. The company teased this image via their Twitter account with a caption that reads, "Who turned out the lights?".

Battlefield 3 reportedly cancelled for the Wii U

If you were looking forward to playing Battlefield 3 on the Nintendo Wii U, you may not have the chance. An anonymous source from Wii U Daily says that both EA and DICE were working on a Wii U version of Battlefield 3. The problem is that their are tensions. After a "feud" with Nintendo over the integration of Origin on the Wii U, the project was shelved.

Paparazzo Adds A 300 Lumen LED Light To Your iPhone (video)

A new iPhone gadget is currently on Kickstarter called the Paparazzo iPhone Light, wich has been designed to help you take a better photograph, and has been inspired by the flash bulbs used in the early 20th century, and adds a 300 lumen LED light to your iPhone.

Paparazzo iPhone Light has been designed by Craig Monroe and John Aldrich, and will support Apple’s latest iPhone 4 and 4S as well as the new rumoured iPhone 5 when it arrives. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Paparazzo project and see it in action.

Microsoft’s Office Store Opens For Business

Microsoft has today opened the doors of its Office Store, which has been created to sell applications and add-ons that can be used with Microsoft’s Office suite of software and SharePoint services.

Microsoft takes a 20 percent cut of any sales from the Office Store which enables developers to create and sell directly to end users. Microsoft is now hoping developers will repackage and develop new applications to make the Office Store a success.

Motorola To Announce New 4G LTE Smartphone This Friday

Motorola has announced on their Facebook page that they will be announcing a new smartphone this Friday, and from the details posted it looks like it will be a new 4G LTE smartphone.

Motorola have yet to announced what the device will be, although it could possibly be the new Motorola Droid RAZR HD that we have been hearing about over the last few weeks.

Amazon Game Studio Launches With Its First Facebook Game, Living Classics (video)

Sony nasne PS3 PVR Rolling Out 30th August

PS3 owners waiting for the arrival of the Sony nasne PS3 PVR, will be pleased to learn that Sony has today revealed their nasne networked media recorder will be arriving in Japan on August 30th after a slight delay.

The Sony nasne for PS3 gaming consoles is fitted with a 500GB hard disk drive, and digital Terrestrial and Satellite tuners. Allowing you to connect the name to your home network to to watch and record media via software such as Torne for PS3.

Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 Smartphone Leaked (Rumor)

It looks like one of the first Windows Phone 8 deices from Nokia has been leaked, the device which features a yellow casing appeared on WPDang (translated) and seems to be some sort of Lumia prototype which has a similar design to the Nokia Lumia 800.

The device is apparently either running Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 7.8, have a look at the photo of the device below.

New iPhone 5 Dock Connector Comming To All New iOS Devices This Fall (Rumor)

We previously heard a number of rumors that Apple would launch a new smaller dock connector when they launch their new iPhone 5, the dock connector is also rumored to be in the new iPad Mini which we may see at the same time as the new iPhone 5.

Now according to a recent report Apple will also be changing the dock connector to the new smaller one on all of its existing devices this fall.

Assassin’s Creed 3 PS3 Exclusive DLC Adds Extra Hour Of Gameplay

New Assassin’s Creed 3 artwork box on the Amzon.co.uk ecommerce website has revealed that an hour of exclusive gameplay will be made available to PlayStation 3 gamers.

During E3 earlier this year Sony also confirmed that PlayStation 3 exclusive content would be arriving in late October, which must be very close to the official launch of the game.

Verizon Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update

Motorola recently rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to testers on the Xoom WiFi, and now it would appear that some owners of the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE on Verizon have also received the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

It isn’t clear as yet whether this is being rolled out to everyone, as only a few users have reported receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, and there is no official word from Verizon or Motorola as yet.

Google Nexus 7 Tablets Gets Installed In A Dodge RAM (Video)

We have seen quite a few videos of Apple’s iPad being installed in various vehicles, and now the guys from Sonic Electronix decided to install Google’s new Nexus 7 tablet in a Dodge Ram.

Apple TV Software Beta 4 Released To Developers

As well as releasing its iOS 6 beta 4 to developers this week Apple has also released its Xcode 4.5 Developer Preview 4, and Apple TV Software beta 4 bringing a number of new fixes to the set-top box.

The new update has tackled issues that were affecting some Apple TV to show the wrong resolution, as well as issues making the Apple TV to restart without warning while using the Remote app.

No In App Purchasing For Windows Phone 7.8

Microsoft will release the latest version of its mobile OS later this year, Windows Phone 8, which will be available on new Windows Phone hardware, existing devices will get updated to Windows Phone 7.8.

Now Microsoft has revealed that the new in app purchasing feature will only be supported in Windows Phone 8, this means that anyone with an existing device who gets the Windows Phone 7.8 update will not get the feature.

Bacteria forum member Clarky has created an awesome Nintendo N64 controller hack by combining two N64 controllers together, creating an extra wide controller and providing dual stick control.

The dual analog stick N64 controller, was originally created to play a hidden mode within Star Wars Episode 1: Racer. That provided players with the option to control their pods using the analog sticks of two controllers. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

Sprint Drops Apple’s iPhone 4S To $149.99

Sprint has reduced the price of the iPhone 4S on its mobile network in the US, you can now pick up a 16GB iPhone 4S on Sprint for $149.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier.

If you want the 32GB version this will set you back $249.99 with a new two year contract, and the 64GB version is $349.99 with a new two year contract with Sprint.

Apple Removes YouTube App From iOS 6 Beta 4

Apple has released the latest version of its mobile OS to developers, iOS 6 Beta 4, and it looks like Apple has decided to remove the YouTube App in the latest beta release of iOS 6.

The guys from The Verge have confirmed with Apple that there will be no YouTube App on their iOS devices when iOS 6 is released later this year, and it looks like Google will release their own App through the app store.

SIM Free White Sony Xperia Go Starts Shipping In The UK

Sony has now released the white version of their Xperia Go smartphone, and the SIM free version has just started shipping in the UK, the handset will cost you £198 including taxes.

As a reminder the Sony Xperia Go features a 3.5 inch Reality Display with Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine, and it is powered by a dual core 1GHz processor and comes with a 5 megapixel camera.

Microsoft’s Windows 8 Packaging Leaked

Windows 8 will launch on the 26th of October, we have already heard recently that the final build of Windows 8 had been leaked online, and Microsoft recently released Windows 8 RTM (release to manufacturing).

Now the guys over at The Verge have obtained some photos of the Windows 8 packaging, which you can see in the photo below, and the photo shows the Windows 8 and the Windows 8 Pro version.
