Crytek not working on Crysis 3 for the Wii U

You might remember that in April, Crytek's Rasmus Hoejengaard stated that Crysis 3 for the Wii U was not happening, but later gamers were hopeful, when Crytek's producer, Mike Read, said that Crysis 3 for the Wii U was not completely out of the question and revealed that they were in fact working with Nintendo.

Karbonn Smart Tab 1 Jelly Bean Android 4.1 Tablet Arrives For $125

Karbonn Mobiles has launched their low cost Karbonn Smart Tab 1 in India this week which comes supplied with Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

The Karbonn Smart Tab 1 with Jelly Bean Android 4.1 OS is priced at around $125, and is powered by a MIPS-based 1.2GHz processor, making it someway behind Google’s also relatively inexpensive Nexus 7 tablet.

Sony Xperia SL Photos Leaked

Yesterday we saw some leaked renders of the new Sony Xperia SL, and now we have some actual photos of the device, which were posted online buy the guys from GSM Arena.

We also get to find out some more details about the handset, it will come with a dual core 1.7GHz MSM8260 Snapdragon processor and will features 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

CynogenMod 10 Alpha Builds Now Available For Sony Xperia Devices

The CyanogenMod team have been working hard on their new CyanogenMod 10 which is based on the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Jelly Bean.

It looks like some of Sony’s Xperia Android handsets are the latest devices to get an Alpha build of CyanogenMod 10, and there are a total of seven Xperia devices supported.

Facebook Launches New Facebook Stories Website (video)

Facebook has this week launched a new website called Facebook Stories, that has been created by the social network giant to collect interesting stories based on a different theme each month.

Its first months stories are currently based on the theme of ”remembering”, and Facebook allows its users to submit stories each month,  but Facebook has the final say on which ones will be featured in the Facebook Stories site.

Gameloft Promises Future 2012 Releases Will Be Simultaneous Across iOS And Android

Real Racing 3 First Trailer Released (video)

EA and the Firemonkeys games studio have today released the first trailer for its new Real Racing 3 game which is currently under development, and will be the third in the Real Racing series that originally landed on iOS back in 2009.

Real Racing 3 will include a 22 car grid allow you to compete against 21 other drivers and put your smartphone and tablet driving skills to the test. Watch the first trailer for the new Real Racing 3 game after the jump to see it in action.

AT&T HTC One X Gets Android 4.0.4 ICS Update

AT&T have released a new software update for the HTC One X, the latest update is software build 2.20.502.7 and it brings the device up to Android 4.0.4 ICS, it was previous;y on Android 4.0.

The update should be available now as an OTA update for your handset, and you can check if it is available through the setting menu on your HTC One X handset.

Facebook Has More Than 83 Million Fake Accounts

Facebook is the worlds largest social network, which is approaching 1 billion users and currently stands at 955 million registered accounts, although it would appear that not all those accounts are real.

Facebook recently revealed that around 8.7 percent of their total accounts are fake, this is made up of duplicate profiles which makeup around 4.8 percent of all accounts.

Denon Cocoon Home And Portable AirPlay Docks Unveiled

Denon has this week taken the wraps off new additions added to its range of Airplay speaker docks, in the form of the Denon Cocoons, which are available as the Cocoon Home for $600 or the Cocoon Portable for $500.

Both models are fitted with integrated iPhone/iPod docks that pop out of the front of the speakers, and are equipped with full Apple Airplay support.

Skyrim Dawnguard DLC Arrives On Steam, PS3 Version Delayed (video)

Bethesda has today announced at QuakeCon 2012 that the new Skyrim Dawnguard DLC is now available for download on Steam for $19.99 for PC gamers, and if you haven’t already purchase Skyrim for PC the game is currently on sale at half price via Steam.

Skyrim Dawnguard has been available on Xbox 360 since the 26th June 2012, and is the first official add-on for Skyrim, providing gamers with an additional story that revolves around an ancient prophecy predicted by an Elder Scroll.

Diablo III Sells More Than 10 Million Copies

Today Activision Blizzard has revealed that their latest game Diablo III has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, with 1.2 million sold via their WoW Annual Pass, even after a not so smooth launch for the game.

Diablo III is the third instalment in the Diablo franchise, was released on May 15th 2012, and wasted no time clocking up 3.5 million sales in its first 24 hours of its release, to crown it the fastest-selling PC game.

Apple Cutting Back On Samsung Displays For iPad

Apple and Samsung are engaged in a  number of different court cases around the world, although Apple is still Samsung’s number one customer, as Samsung supplies a number of components for Apple’s devices including displays for the iPad 2 and the new iPad.

Now according to a recent report, Apple is cutting back on their orders of iPad displays from Samsung, instead Apple is looking at companies like Sharp and LG display to supply the panels needed for their tablets.

Microsoft Tells Developers To Stop Using ‘Metro’ Name In Apps

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Appears For Pre-order Online

We have been waiting to find out when the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 would go on sale in the US, and now it would appear that the device has gone up for pre-order at online retailer Negri Electronics.

Negri Electronics has the 16GB Galaxy Note 10.1 listed on their website for $750 which seems quite expensive although this is for the SIM free version of the device.

Apple iPad Has 68 Percent Of The Tablet Market In Quarter 2 According To Report

It looks like Apple’s iPad is continuing to dominate the tablet market, according to a recent report from IDC, Apple had 68 percent of the tablet market in quarter two of 2012.

Apple sold a total of 17.04 million iPads in quarter two, this is almost double Apple’s 2011 iPad shipments for the same quarter in 2011 which was at 9.25 million units.

Evernote For Mac Updated With LinkedIn Sharing, Account Switching And More

Today Evernote has rolled out a new version of their note taking and archiving software for Mac systems. Evernote 3.3 for Mac brings with it a number of new features and improvements for Premium Users, in the form of Account Switching and LinkedIn sharing.

If you are a Premium user, you can now switch between one Free account and as many Premium accounts as you like. Once you switch from one account to another the preview screen will automatically refresh updating it with the documents from the new account.

Windows 8 Final Version Leaked Online

Yesterday Microsoft announced that they had finished the latest version of their OS, Windows 8 and it had reached the RTM stage (release to manufacturing).

Now it would appear that the final version of Windows 8 has been leaked online, although it will not actually be available to MSDN and TechNet customers until the 15th of August.

Google Wallet Now Works On Verizon Galaxy Nexus

When Google launched their Google Wallet payment service it was not available on Verizon Wireless, now it would appear that after yesterdays update Google Wallet is now working on Verizon Wireless.

According to a number of owners of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus LTE, the app now works, and users can now download the official app to their Verizon handset.

Samsung Confirms Galaxy Note 2 To Be Announced 29th August

We have been hearing a number of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 of the last few weeks, and were expecting the device to be announced some time later this month.
