For the price, you get a seven-inch touchscreen device that connects directly to the iPhone allowing you to control specific apps on your phone using the larger screen. Lenovo documents have been leaked that reveal specifications for Lenovo’s new Windows 8 tablet, which has been named the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2, and recently made its way through the FCC.

Final Fantasy Coming To Ouya Open Source Games Console

Leap Motion Computer Gesture Control System Signs Up 26,000 Developers

Some of our readers might remember the Leap gesture control device of computers we featured here on Geeky Gadgets back in May. Which was created by Leap Motion and has been designed to be 200 times more accurate than Microsoft Kinect motion controller designed initially for the Xbox 360.

Digg Relaunched With A New Design

Nintendo Announces DSI Matte Red And Blue Editions

Battlefield 3 Premium Passes 1.3 Million Subscribers

Electronic Arts creator and publisher of Battlefield 3 has announced its Q1 FY13 financial results this week, which reveal that their Battlefield 3 Premium service has sold over 1.3 million subscriptions to date.

In a similar way to the Call of Duty Elite service created by Activision for their games, EA’s Battlefield 3 Premium subscription services offers gamers premium options and features with the opportunity to play all upcoming Battlefield 3 expansion packs two weeks early.

Sprint Epic Touch 4G Gets Android 4.0 ICS Update Again

Google Play Store New Developer Policy Aims To Reduce Intrusive Advertising

Google has sent out an email to its Google Play Store developers detailing a number of new changes to its developer policy with the hope of reducing intrusive advertising within Android applications.

Samsung In Trouble With Judge After Sending Rejected Evidence To Media

Samsung and Apple are in the middle of a patent lawsuit in the US, and now it would appear that Samsung may have upset the judge dealing with the case, Judge Lucy Koh.

We recently heard that Google would pay a fine of $22.5 million for the privacy violation with regards to cookies on Apple’s Safari browser, Google had previously been accused of violating users privacy on Apple's Safari browser, where privacy setting were apparently bypassed, and Safari was allegedly tricked into accepting an advertising cookie.

It looks like the fine of $22.5 million has now been approved by the FCC, and once Google pays up this should be the end of the matter, Google can settle the fine without having to admit any liability.

Spotify Hits 15 Million Users

Yesterday Spotify launched their new Mobile Radio app for Android, and now we have some details on just how popular Spotify’s music streaming service has become.

Spotify’s Chief Content Officer Ken parks announced that the company now has more than 15 million active users around the world, and out of those 4 million are paid subscribers.

Google To Give Away 100GB Of Cloud Storage To Chromebook Users (Rumor)

It looks like Google may be getting ready to launch a new feature for owners of its Chromebook devices, François Beaufort has discovered some code in Google’s Chromium source that says the following ‘Get 100 GB free with Google Drive’.

Google normally charges it users $4.99 per month for this 100GB of storage, but it looks like that may be about to change and the company may offer users the 100GB of storage for free.

Google Updates Gmail App For iOS

Google has updated their Gmail email application for Apple’s iOS devices, and the update brings a number of bug fixes to the app, as well as a couple of new features.

Microsoft’s Outlook.com Hits 1 Million Users In 6 Hours

Yesterday Microsoft launched their new email service, Outlook.com, which is designed to replace their existing Hotmail email service, and it looks like the initial response to their new email has been positive.

It took Microsoft just six hours to reach 1 million users on Outlook.com, hardly surprising consider that they have hundreds of millions of Hotmail users who will be migrating to the new Outlook email.

Dropbox Says User Accounts Were Hijacked, Updates Security

A few weeks ago there were reports that Dropbox users were having problems with Spam, Dropbox has been looking into the problem and has now explained what happened and what has been done to avoid this in the future.

Dropbox has said that some of their accounts were accessed by hackers, Dropbox acted quickly on this and brought in an outside security firm within 24 hours to deal with the issue.

Samsung’s Music Hub Launched In The US

Samsung recently launched their new Music Hub in Europe, and they have now also launched the service in the IS, and it is now available with Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphones.

The Samsung Music Hub will give you access to over 19 million tracks which can be streamed direct to your handset, there is also a cloud service that comes with 100GB of storage and works in a similar way to iTunes Match.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Gets Android 4.0 ICS In the UK

Verizon Fined $1.25 Million By FCC For Blocking Third Party Tethering Apps

Mobile carriers tend to have the habit of blocking third party tethering apps on their devices, as they want you to use their own tethering app, which usually comes with some sort of extra fee for the data.

Now it would appear that the carriers may have to re-think their strategy on this as the FCC has fined Verizon Wireless $1.25 million for blocking their customers from using third party tethering apps.

Microsoft Announces New Outlook.com Email To Replace Hotmail

Microsoft’s Hotmail is being changed into Outlook.com, and along with the new name, Microsoft’s email service gets a complete re-design, with a cleaner look and an interface based on Microsoft’s Metro UI.

People who already have a Hotmail email address will be able to migrate over to the new Outlook.com domain and get a new outlook.com email address, and it also comes with built in social networking feature like Facebook.

Google Nexus Q Launch Delayed

Google’s Nexus Q media streamer was due to launch before the end of July, but now it would appear that Google has delayed the launch of the device, and has emailed people who have pre-ordered the device to let them know.

Google has said that the reason they have delayed the launch of the Nexus Q is that they are ‘making it even better’, and adding new features to the device before it is launched.
