Pioneer launches rekordbox DJ app for iPhone and iPod Touch

Pioneer electronics has launched a new DJ music management application for the iPhone and the iPod Touch called rekordbox. The app allows the user to prepare and manage music that is stored on the portable device and create playlists. The app also allows the user to enter settings for loop point and beat locations, perform waveform analysis and more.

Rumor Claims Verizon Plans to Sell Nokia Windows 8 Phone This Year

Max Payne 3 Disorganized Crime DLC arriving August 28th

Max Payne 3 is a lot of fun and if you want to extend the adventure even further, Rockstar is releasing a free DLC on the August 28th. It’s called "Disorganized Crime" and will include a free multiplayer map called Hoboken Rooftops, along with new modifiers for Score Attack in Arcade Mode.

46.8% of people polled feel they don’t need 4G

To 4G or not to 4G, that is the question. And now we have an answer. Despite the impressive speeds allowing you to stream video and audio pretty much flawlessly, many people are not sold on it. It does drain the battery faster for one thing. A recent poll was conducted by Piper Jaffray that revealed that out of 3,000 people polled, 46.8% did not seem to want 4G. Only 15.1% said that they prefer 4G LTE.

4K 84-inch ultra HDTV from LG ships worldwide next month

LG has announced that its 84-inch ultra high definition LCD TV is ready to ship in South Korea. It went up for pre-order last month for 25 million won, or about $22,105. The 84LM9600 is a 3D HDTV with LG’s Cinema 3D passive glasses technology, but the ultra high pixel count means you’re still watching in 1080p even with the resolution loss since it starts at 3,840 x 2,160. Not bad right?

Hulu launches redesigned site

iRobot’s AIRarm prototype robot has an inflatable arm

In the case of iRobot’s AIRarm prototype, one inflatable arm is better than a metal one. The Advanced Inflatable Robot (AIR) prototype is basically a Packbot that has had it’s metal arm replaced with an inflatable version able to lift four times its own half-pound weight.

Amazon launches Glacier archiving service for your files

Google Play Gift Cards Officially Launched

After a lot of speculation and leaked photographs of the new Google Play Gift cards last week, Google has today officially launched their Google Play Gift cards in denominations of $10,$25 and $50.

The Google Play Gift cards will be available in Target, RadioShack and GameStop retail stores throughout the US over the next few weeks, and can even be used to purchase extra levels, add-on packs, and virtual currency within Google Play games.

Star Wars Style Flying Speeder Bike Created (video)

Aerofex in Manhattan Beach have created the dream bike of most star wars fans, the speeder! But rather than using anti-gravity devices and the such the speedier created by Aerofex uses massive fans to generate the lift for the bike.

The speeder has a control system to control the fans, which Aerofex says is easy enough for anyone to use, without any special training. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the speeder project and see it in action.

Sony Launching 80 Inch 4K LED TV Before The End Of 2012? (Rumour)

According to a BGR website source close to Sony, the Japanese TV manufacturer is preparing to launch a the largest XBR TV Sony has ever offered, however  unfortunately specifications for the 80 inch TV are still under wraps at the moment.

But the BGR source suggests that the new HDTV from Sony will be equipped with a massive 4K resolution which allows a pixel count of up to 4096 x 3072 or 12.6 megapixels.

Acer Liquid Gallant Dual Sim Android 4.0 Smartphone Announced

Acer has unveiled a couple of new smartphones to its range of hardware this week with the addition of the Acer Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo to its smartphone range, which Acer will be showcasing during IFA in Berlin at the end of this month.

The two handsets are identical in specifications both powered by a 1 GHz processor supported by 1 GB RAM and equipped with 4GB of onboard storage, which is expandable to 32GB via microSD cards.

Skype iOS App Updates Adds Photo Sharing And More

Skype has rolled out a new update to its iPad and iPhone application this week which has added a new Photo Sharing feature for users. The Skype Photo Sharing service enables users to send photos they have taken on their iOS devices directly to Skype friends and family.

Skype hasn’t applied any restrictions to the Photo Sharing service, allowing yo to send as many images as you like and at any size, without occurring extra costs, and saving you from paying MMS or bandwidth charges.

Ofcom Approves 4G LTE Network In The UK From Everything Everywhere

Ofcom the UK's communications regulator has made an announced that it will allow a 4G service to roll out in the UK before the end of the year provided by Everything Everywhere, which has left competitor Vodafone “shocked”.

Approving and application by Everything Everywhere to use the existing spectrum setup and launch a new 4G service to its customers, from as early as September 11th.

Rogers Acer Iconia Tab A501 Receives Android 4.0 ICS Update

This week Acer has rolled out a new updated to its Iconia Tab A501 tablet which finally brings with it Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

Originally the Android 4.0 update for the Iconia Tab A501 was first mentioned by Acer back in November of last year, but Acer has now finally started rolling out Android 4.0 as an Over The Air (OTA) update, to owners who bought their tablets at Rogers in Canada.
