| Samsung Galaxy Note II Render Leaked Posted: 14 Aug 2012 05:05 AM PDT It looks like we have another possible Samsung Galaxy Note II photo, which was received by the guys over at GSM Arena along with some reported specifications. According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Note II will feature a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution Super AMOLED display which measures 5.5 inches, we had previously heard that the device would feature a Full HD resolution display.

| UK Competition Watchdog Approves Facebook’s $1 Billion Instagram Takeover Posted: 14 Aug 2012 04:23 AM PDT Facebook announced a few months ago that they were acquiring Instagram in a deal worth $1 billion, and now it looks like the deal is getting closer to conclusion. In order for Facebook to takeover Instagram it has to be approved by the various regulators, and now the UK’s Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has announced that it will not refer the merger to the Competition Commission.

| RIM Says BlackBerry 10 Will Soon Be Available For Licensing Posted: 14 Aug 2012 01:41 AM PDT We previously heard from RIM’s CEO, Thorsten Heins that RIM intends to license the next version of their mobile OS, BlackBerry 10 to other manufacturers. | Minecraft For PC Hits 7 Million In Sales Posted: 14 Aug 2012 12:41 AM PDT Mojang has announced on Twitter that they have sold over 7 million copies of Minecraft for the PC, this follows on from the news that 3 million copies of the Xbox version had been sold recently. This means that Minecraft has now sold more that 10 million copies across various platforms, and this doesn’t take into account the mobile versions of the game.

| Google Buys Frommer’s Travel Guides Posted: 14 Aug 2012 12:17 AM PDT It looks like Google is close to completing another acquisition, Google has purchased Frommer’ss Travel Guides in a deal which is reported to be worth $25 million, Google has purchased the company from its previous owners John Wiley & Sons. Frommer’s have been producing travel guide books as well as running a website with travel guides, which means that Google will probably show the content from Frommer’s in their search results in the future.

It looks like the 12th of September could possibly be the correct date for the iPhone 5 announcement, as the guys over at the BGR have obtained some information on the launch date of the iPhone 5.

| Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE Goes Up For Pre-Order, Lands On Sprint 19th August Posted: 13 Aug 2012 11:26 PM PDT Last week we heard that the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE was rumored to arrive on Sprint on the 19th of August, this has now been confirmed by Sprint and the handset has gone up for pre-order. The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE will be available for $199.99 on Sprint when you sign up to a new two year agreement with the carrier, and the device comes with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
