Flickr Android app gets updated

Flickr’s Android app is about a year old so it is due for a good update. Now it has one. You’ll find some useful changes like a retooled UI with a new navigation menu and the Explore section does a better job of sorting pictures according to nearby location and level of interest.

TV Guide Mobile relaunches for iOS

TV Guide has completely redesigned and updated it’s iOS app. Previous versions of TV Guide Mobile on iOS and Android let users create watchlists and get reminders, but now version 3.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has been completely redesigned to make TV watching easier.

Tencent and TCL unveil 26-inch Android-based smart TV

A 26 inch smart TV with Android onboard? I’ll take some of that. Chinese web company Tencent and TCL Multimedia have unveiled the Ice Screen, a 26-inch smart TV with a 1,366 x 768 display that allows you to browse the web, access videos, music and even games through QQ services.

Motorola has no plans to add bootloader unlocking support to older devices

Awhile back, after promising their customers for so long, Motorola had finally rolled out an online bootloader unlocking tool on its website. People were happy. Some did a little dance. But at launch, only a handful of handsets were supported, like the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, the developer version of the RAZR and the Xoom tablets for instance.

Gameloft releases Wild Blood gameplay trailer

Earlier this month, Gameloft released a teaser trailer of its upcoming game, Wild Blood. It is so anticipated because of its uniqueness and its use of the Unreal Engine which gives the game some pretty amazing visuals. Hopefully the gameplay is as impressive as the graphics are.

Mini Xplus Android 4.0 Mini PC Relaunches

The Mini X was first launched in July but after complaints that the mini Android PC was overheating its developers halted sales and went back to the drawing board.

Now a newly revised Mini Xplus edition has been created and launched, providing users with a tiny Android PC for just $84, running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

Optimus Vu to Hit Verizon as the Intuition

Sky NOW TV Arrives On UK Xbox 360 Consoles

ZTE Blade III Smartphone Spotted On Retailers Website

The latest ZTE Blade III has been spotted ahead of any official announcements from its creator ZTE. The new ZTE Blade III was spotted by an eagle eyed visitor to a Finnish retailers website, where the ZTE Blade III seemingly has been mistakenly listed a little earlier than ZTE surely would have liked.

The link of the ZTE Blade III was then quickly posted to Twitter, and if you are interested the page is still live over on the Verkkokauppa.com website, revealing the smartphones specifications.

Raspberry Pi Keyboard Case Hack

Some of our readers might remember the mod created by Ben Heck back in July, in which he used a Raspberry Pi mini PC and keyboard to create a retro styled keyboard case for it.

Well along the same lines a German hacker has taken a Cherry G80-300 mechanical keyboard and ingeniously fitted into it a Raspberry Pi computer together with extra USB ports.

iFixit has been busy once again with their screwdrivers and have this week turned to the Vizio Co-Star, revealing its inner workings to the world. The Vizio Co-Star has been created to provide users with a live TV and streaming entertainment in one solution.

The Vixio Co-Star provides Google TV technology with access to browse the web, and OnLive gaming to name just a few of its features, as well as being the ability to be used either on its own, or as an overlay for existing cable or satellite TV services, all for $100.

Archos Gen10 XS Android Tablet Range Unveiled

Archos has today unveiled a new line of Android tablets in the form of the Archos Gen10 XS, which consists of three tablets the Archos 97 XS, Archos 80 XS and Archos 101XS.

The Archos 101XS is set to be officially launched in November and will be available to purchase for around $400. The other two Android tablets in the range will launch late in 2012 but no specific date has been announced by Archos as yet.

Olympus intros Stylus VH-410 and VH-515 point-and-shoot cameras

Olympus has unveiled two new point-and-shoot cameras. The first is the compact Stylus VH-410 and the second is the “high-performance” Stylus VH-515. The 410 packs in a 16-megapixel CCD sensor, a touchscreen and 5x optical zoom and it can shoot movies in 1280 x 720. It also has Dual IS image stabilization and supports Eye-Fi wireless SD cards. It will launch in mid-October.

Virgin Mobile reveals Samsung Galaxy Reverb

And now it’s time for yet another Galaxy phone. How many does this make? This time for Virgin Mobile, who has revealed the Galaxy Reverb. The phone offers Android 4.0, a 1.4GHz CPU, a 5-megapixel camera and a 4-inch touchscreen. This one will arrive in stores in September for $250, but you can pre-order it starting on August 29th.

Pentax unveils X-5 superzoom camera with 26x lens
