Command & Conquer: Generals 2 will not ship with single-player mode

This might be disappointing to some of you. C and C Generals 2 won’t ship with a single player mode. Of course all of the games like StarCraft and StarCraft 2 are competitive, so we expected Command & Conquer: Generals 2 to be launched with "co-operative and competitive" modes. That is the games main draw, but it looks like it will come at the expense of a single player mode.

Chef Cui noodle cutting robots in China

Robots are taking all kinds of jobs. The latest job that robots are taking is that of noodle cutting in China. Cui Runquan produced a noodle cutting robot called Chef Cui a while back and they are now being mass produced. You will see them soon in various noodle serving establishments throughout China.

Honda unveils Miimo robotic grass cutter

Nobody wants to mow the lawn, especially on a hot day. This sounds like a job for a robot. Honda has officially unveiled the Miimo, a robotic lawn mower for the European market. It operates within a boundary wire placed around your yard and Miimo will cut between 2-3mm of your grass throughout the week. Sounds relaxing to me.

Pioneer unveils new car stereos

Pioneer Electronics has announced six new single CD car stereo receivers for 2013. All six of the products are to be released this month at prices ranging from $70-$150. All models feature remote controls with some offering smartphone compatibility and the ability to control music from an iPhone.

Is Hearthfire the name of the next Skyrim DLC?

We are still waiting for Skyrim: Dawngard to hit the PlayStation 3, because it just isn’t good enough yet, but we might have another DLC coming in the future. We have the hint from a trademark that was filed by Bethesda's parent company, Zenimax, with the name Hearthfire.

Guild Wars 2 level 50 Twilight Arbor dungeon footage (video)

Guild Wars 2 is all set for another stress test today and it might be the last before the game opens up to pre-purchasers for the weekend, who have a 3 day head start on everyone else. Sony NEX-5R and NEX-6 pictures surface with Wifi

We had some news back in early August, thanks to an Indonesian POSTEL listing that revealed two new mirrorless NEX cameras coming from Sony. They are both supposed to have wireless LAN chips. And now VR-Zone has some more details in the form of certification photos of the two cameras.

MakerPlane lets you build an aircraft using digital printers

Imagine that you can build your very own aircraft and soar the wild blue yonder. Well, now you can build your own experimental plane and fly it, thanks to MakerPlane. The open source aviation organization will let you download plans and schematics for free, then build your plane’s parts using CNC mills and 3D printers. Pretty awesome stuff.

Toshiba Excite 10 Prices Slashed 16GB Now $300, 64GB For $350

Toshiba has this week slashed the prices of its Toshiba Excite 10 tablets reducing the price of the Toshiba Excite 10 16GB version down to just $300 from $449, with the 64GB version now reduced to $350, for a limited time.

Toshiba launched their new Toshiba Excite 10 worldwide around four months ago, but the higher price for the tablet may have hindered its sales, especially now with Google’s Nexus 7 tablet available for under $200.

Canon announces PowerShot SX500 IS, SX160 IS superzoom cameras

Canon digital camera fans have two new models to look forward to. Canon has announced two new superzoom cameras: the SX160 IS, a successor to the SX150, and the SX500 IS, an entirely new camera. Both of these new models include identical 16-megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD sensors, intelligent image stabilization, an ISO range of 100-800 and the ability to capture 720p video at 25 frames-per-second.

Dead Space 3 Gameplay Trailers Released (videos)

EA has released new trailers for their upcoming Dead Space 3 game which, provides us with a glimpse of what we can expect from the gameplay, once the game is officially launched in February 2013.

The third game in the series will provide the highly anticipated end to the trilogy which first started back in October 2008, with the second in the Dead Space series being released early last year.

OoVoo Video Chat Apps Updated With Simultaneous 4-Way Connections

OoVoo has this week rolled out a new update to both their Android and iOS applications, which has added support for 4-way simultaneous video chat connections.

On Apple devices the 4-way video chat is only supported on the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and new iPad, and on Android its supported on selected devices with more being added on a daily basis.

iZettle Launches Samsung Only Android Payment App

Payments provider Square’s rival iZettle has this week launched a new Android application, specifically for Samsung smartphones and devices.However iZettle has stated that the Android application will become compatible with other Android devices over the coming months.

The new Android iZettle application works in the same way as the iOS version of the applications and provides users with the same features, but plugs in to the Android devices 3.5mm headphone jack.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Launching With Zombie Mod

BBC iPlayer App Not Arriving On Windows Phone Anytime Soon

RadioShack No Contract Wireless may launch September 5th

Sony Has Sold Just 2.2 Million PS Vitas Worldwide

Sony has revealed that up to 30th June of this year, they had only sold 2.2 million PS Vita handheld gaming consoles, since the PS Vitas launch.

German PlayStation head Uwe Bassendowski mentioned the number in the context of the Vita’s marketing during an interview with the PlayFront.de website. Explaining that Sony was now going to start targeting the console at a “young audience”.

Nintendo’s 3DS XL Arrives In The US For $200
