Apple is hoping that iBooks 2 will change the way that students access education material, with interactive books which feature videos, animations and interactive graphics, instead of using text books.

| Microsoft Getting $20 To $30 For Each Windows Phone Sold? Posted: 19 Jan 2012 05:27 AM PST It looks like we may have some information on how much Microsoft charges hardware manufacturers for its Windows Phone licenses, the new comes from smartphone manufacturer ZTE, who recently unveiled a new Windows Phone, the ZTE Tania. According to Trusted reviews, they were informed by Santiago Sierra, a Portfolio Manager for ZTE in the UK, that ZTE pays Microsoft between £15 and £20 for each Windows Phone smartphone, which works out at around $23 to $30.

| Sony Ericssons Reports 207 Million Euro Loss For Quarter Four Posted: 19 Jan 2012 04:40 AM PST Sony Ericsson, which is soon to become just Sony, as the two companies recently announced that Sony would buy Ericsson out of their joint smartphone business and re-brand its Sony Ericsson smartphones under the Sony brand has just reported a massive loss in the fourth quarter of 2011. For the three months which end in December 2011, Sony Ericsson made a lost of 207 million Euros on total revenue of 1.29 billion Euros, this compares to an 8 million Euro profit for the same period in 2010.

| Asus Transformer Prime GPS Fix Update Released Posted: 19 Jan 2012 03:46 AM PST Earlier today we heard that Asus had issued a statement in the UK relating to the GPS issues on their Transformer Prime tablet, where they were offering owners of the device the choice to return it and get their money back or if they kept it they would receive an 18 month warranty on the device. Now it would appear that Asus has released a software update for the Transformer Prime, and the new update brings the firmware on the device up to v9.4.2., and also adding Android Ice Cream Sandwich to those devices which haven’t updated.

The OrcaM Orbital Camera sphere is capable of reproducing a digital copy of any object up to 80 cm in diameter and that weighs under 100 kg. Those that did reported an issue with the GPS on the Transformer Prime and now Asus has decided to remove the GPS feature form the devices specifications, which as I am sure you can imagine has left many owners of the Transformer Prime less than happy.
