| Pink Samsung Galaxy S II Goes Up For Pre-order In the UK Posted: 18 Jan 2012 06:53 AM PST Samsung recently launched a pink version of their extremely popular Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone in Korea, and now it looks like the device is headed to the UK as couple of mobile retailers have put the pink Samsung Galaxy S II up for pre-order. The pink Samsung Galaxy S II shares the same specifications as the original device, which include a 4.3inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

| Apple’s iPhone 4S Helps Apple Close The Gap On Android Posted: 18 Jan 2012 05:53 AM PST Research firm Nielsen has released their latest smartphone report, and according to the report, Apple’s new iPhone 4S has helped Apple close the gap on Android in the last quarter of 2011. The report says that the launch of the iPhone 4S had an enormous impact on smartphone purchases, with 44.5 percent of people surveyed purchasing an iPhone, this compares to 25.1 percent in October before the iPhone 4S was released.

| Motorola MOTOLUXE Goes Up For Pre-order In The UK Posted: 18 Jan 2012 04:27 AM PST Motorola recently announced a couple of new smartphones, one of those was the Motorola MOTOLUXE, which is now available to pre-order SIM free in the UK and it looks like it will be available around late February of early March in the UK. The guys from Clove dropped us an email to let us know that they have a SIM free version of the Motorola MOTOLUXE available to pre-order, and the device will be available for £258 including taxes.

| Asus Transformer Prime TF700 Wont Hit The UK Until June Posted: 18 Jan 2012 04:14 AM PST Asus recently announced a new version of their Transformer Prime tablet, the Asus Transformer Prime TF700, which features a higher resolution display than the existing Transformer Prime tablet. The new Transformer Prime TF700 features a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and it is powered by a quad core NVIDA Tegra 3 processor, it looks like it wont be available in the UK until at least June, according to a recent Asus statement.

| Ideum Unveils 65 Inch 3D HD Multi-touch Display Posted: 18 Jan 2012 02:44 AM PST We have seen a couple of multi-touch displays from Ideum previously at Geeky Gadgets, which include their 100 inch multi-touch table, and now the company has announced a new 65 inch 3D HD wall mounted multi-touch display. This new 65 inch multi-touch display is called the Ideum MT65 Presenter, and it is capable of registering a total of 32 simultaneous touch points, as well as displaying full HD content in 1080p and also 3D content.

A number of users are reporting that they have received the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola Xoom WiFi as an OTA update, although it does appear that the update is being rolled out in stages.

| iPad 3 To Be Announced In Early February? According to the guys from Macotakara, Apple will announce the iPad 3, along with the launch of iOS 5.1 in early February, although this has yet to be confirmed by Apple.

| Wikipedia, Reddit, Craigslist And More Protest Against SOPA Posted: 18 Jan 2012 12:39 AM PST Wikipedia and many other sites, which include Reddit, Boing Boing and many other sites around the web are today protesting against the controversial proposed SOPA and PIPA anit-piracy bills, which if passed could basically ruin the Internet. Wikipedia has blacked out its English language site today and will continue to do so for 24 hours, Reddit will black out their site for 12 hours and many more website are also following throughout the day, a full list of sites can be found at SOPAstrike.
