Four Liquid Nitrogen Cooled Radeon HD 7970 Cards Prepare For Massive Benchmarks

Overclocker Andre has combined 4 x AMD Radeon HD 7970 graphics cards together with a little liquid nitrogen to create his “quad seventy-nine seventy” over clocking rig. Which when pushed to the limit produce some amazing benchmark figures.

Andre has already tweaked his rig and cards to a fantastic 3DMark Vantage with a P (performance) score of over 83,000 and GPU score of over 98,000, and grabbed 3DMark 11 P and X (extreme) scores of 32,728 and 17,432, respectively.

Call Of Duty Will Receive Regular Updates Every Few Weeks Says Activision

In an interview with Wired Activision has unveiled that they will be making regular updates to their Call Of Duty franchise, every couple of weeks, and might be adding new missions or spec-op modes instead of just multiplayer maps with each update. Activision is hoping to create a persistent world for its players, one that is both constantly evolving and perpetually played, explained Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg.

We heard recently that Sprint would be getting the white Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G< and the carrier has just announced that the device will be available on their network from the 8th of January.

The white Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G will be available for $199.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with Sprint and it features the same specifications as the existing version.

Tobii Gaze Lets You Launch Windows 8 Apps By Looking At Them (Video)

Tobii has developed a new eye tracking technology called Gaze that is designed to be used with Microsoft’s Windows 8, and the technology will let you launch Windows 8 apps by looking at them.

The video below shows the Tobii Gaze in action, and it certainly looks impressive from the video, the device can attach to your PC via USB and it will then recognize what you are looking at on the display.

Loopo Memory Concept

Keeping a memory flash drive handy and always with you can sometimes be a little tricky. But a new concept, designed by Emami Design called Loopo, is a great way to make sure you always have a little storage space on you at all times.

The simple Loopo design incorporates a clasp at one end of a flash drive allowing you to attach the storage device to pretty much anything you can think of, such as keys, necklaces or even ring binders.

White Samsung Galaxy Nexus Hits The UK Next Month

We just got an email from the guys over at Clove to let us know that a white version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will go on sale here in the UK next month and will be available from the 6th of February.

The white Galaxy Nexus will feature the same specifications as the existing version and it is expected to retail for a similar price when it goes on sale next month.

Lenovo ThinkPad T430u Ultrabook Announced

Lenovo has added another new ultrabook to its range, the Lenovo ThinkPad T430u, which will be shown off at CES 2012 next week, and prices will start at around $849.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T430u features a 14 inch display and it is designed for business users, it will come with a range of customizable options, which include a choice in integrated Intel graphics or NVIDIA graphics and a choice of solid state drives and hard drives with up to 1TB of storage.

Xbox 720 Will Feature A DVR?

LG Announces Z330 And Z430 Ultrabooks

LG has announced two new ultrabooks that will be shown of at CES 2012 next week, the Lenovo Z330 and the Lenovo Z430, which the company calls their Super Ultrabook Series.

First up is the Z330 which comes with a 13.3 inch HD display, and according to LG it features a chassis which is the same size as a 12 inch notebook, and is just 14.7mm thick, and also light weighing in at 1.21kg.

Awesome Half-Life 2 Gravity Gun Raises $21,000 For Charity (video)

Any fans of the Half Life 2 game will be familiar wit the games gravity gun. But model and prop maker Harrison Krix, thought he would have a go at creating a real life replica, and has done so to great effect. The awesome Half-Life 2 Gravity Gun was created by Krix for charity and was recently auctioned off for the Child’s Play Charity where it raised and fantastic $21,000. Watch the video after the jump to see it up close.

BSkyB Launching Updated Sky Sports News iPad App

BSkyB has announced today that it will soon be rolling out a newly updated Sky Sports iPad application to the iTunes App Store. The new iOS Sky News App will now allow viewers to watch Sky Sports News live through the app.

The new Sky News applications will be freely available to current Sky subscribers, but will also be available to non-subscribers for £4.99 per month. Unfortunately the new app, will be only available in the UK.

HTC To Launch Quad Core LTE Smartphones AT MWC 2012 In February?

We have been hearing rumors that HTC are working on a number of new LTE based smartphones, and now there is a possibility that these devices will come with quad core processors using NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor.

Samsung Second Generation 9 Series Monitor Announced

Back in May last year Samsung started shipping its new sleek looking 9 Series monitor. Now in preparation for CES neat week they have announced their second generation 9 Series model the S27A970, that will be showcased at CES next week.

The new Samsung 27 inch 9 Series Monitor features a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 when compared to the previous model, together with Samsung’s Colour Expert technology. Together with 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5 ms (g2g) response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles. Samsung also offers HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, speakers, MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) and a built-in USB hub.

Apple Refunds People Who Purchased ‘Premature’ Gamestore App

Earlier in the week we told you about a new Gamestore app for the iPhone which appeared on the Apple Store, we were able to purchase the app for $0.99, but it didn’t have any functionality and was reported to be an internal testing app from Apple that had made its way onto the app store by mistake.

Now it looks like Apple is refunding customers who purchased the app, and they have sent the following statement to people who bought the app, saying that the app was published prematurely.

Fujifilm Rugged And Waterproof XP150 And XP100 Compact Cameras Unveiled

Fujifilm has announced a variety of new cameras to its range today ahead of them being showcased and CES next week. Two of these are the Fujifilm XP150 and XP100 rugged waterproof compact cameras.

Both have been designed with a rugged case and rubberised finish to protected them against hostile environments. Allowing them to be used in up to 10m of water, as well s being shockproof from drops upto 2m, dust/sand proof and freezeproof to –10°C.

Apple iMac Made Up One Third Of All In One PCs In Quarter 3 2011

Apple has had massive success with its Mac range of computers, and now according to a recent report Apple’s iMac made up one third of sales of all in one computers in the third quarter of 2011.

According to Bloomberg there we a total of 14.5 million all in one PCs sold in quarter three of 2011, and Apple sold just under one third of these with its iMac range of computers.

Microsoft Flight Will Be Free To Play When Launched This Spring (video)

Microsoft Flight Simulator which is currently in the final stages of development and will be released this spring will be a free-to-play game, Microsoft has announced.

The new freemium Microsoft Flight Simulator, will allow you to enjoy a selection of planes which will be included in the simulator and the Big Island of Hawaii to fly over. Logitech C920HD 1080p Webcam Announced

As well as unveiling a their new Logitech Cube Mouse, which will be making an appearance at this years CES. Logitech has also announced a new HD webcamera in the form of the Logitech C920 HD. Which allows you to communicate via video in full 1080p high definition.

MSI GT783 Unveiled As Worlds Fastest Gaming Laptop

MSI has this week added a new laptop named the MSI GT783 to their range which they say is currently the worlds fastest gaming laptop. The new MSI GT783 is equipped with a second generation Intel Core i7 quad core processor as well as Nvidia GeForce GTX 580M graphics, and has achieved 16,000 points on the 3D Mark Vantage high resolution test and surpassed the 3,000-point mark in the 3D Mark 11 test, say MSI.

Lenovo Thinkpad Edge S430 With Intel Thunderbolt Announced

Lenovo has added a new notebook to its range with the launch of the Lenovo Thinkpad Edge S430, which is one of the first notebooks, apart from Apple’s, to come with Intel’s Thunderbolt technology.

Nokia Lumia 710 Gets Reviewed

The Nokia Lumia 710 is Nokia’s first Windows Phone smartphone to launch in the US, the device is available with US mobile carrier T-Mobile, and it features a 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen display with an 800 x 480- pixel resolution, there is also 8GB of built in storage and a single core 1.4GHz processor.

Fujilfim X-S1 Bridge Camera Headed To The US

The Fujilfim X-S1 was announced back in November, and it will go on sale in the UK next month, now Fujifilm has announced that the X-S1 will go on sale in the US for $799 at the end of January.

As a reminder the Fujifilm X-S1 is a bridge camera with a a Fujinon 26x optical zoom lens, plus digital zoom of up to 52x with a 35mm equivalent range of 24-1248mm.

Lenovo has launched a new version of their Thinkpad X1 notebook, The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Hybrid notebook, which will come with a range of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors.

It also comes with a an instant on OS based on Google’s Android, which runs on a dual core Qualcomm processor that is built into the motherboard, and will double the laptops battery life in the instant on OS mode.

We have been hearing more and more about the new Nokia Lumia 900 or Nokia Ace over the last few days, and now the device has appeared on WPBench, which was spotted by the guys from WMPoweruser.

We are expecting the Nokia Lumia 900 or Nokia Ace to be ann0unced at CES 2012 next week, and it is rumored to be Nokia’s new flagship Windows Phone device and we have heard it will be available worldwide as well as in the US.

HTC Radiant LTE AT&T Windows Phone Smartphone Leaked

Back in December we heard that one of the first Windows Phone LTE devices would be the new HTC Radiant, and now we have an actual picture of the device which was obtained by Pocket Now.

According to the report the HTC Radiant is headed to US mobile carrier AT&T and the device is expected to be officially announced at CES 2012 next week.

Swann Launches New RC Helcopters With Built In Cameras

Swann has launched a new range of remote control helicopters, and two of the new models come with built in wireless video cameras and they have also launched a new model that can be controlled by Apple’s iOS devices.

The three new models include the i-Fly Micro Lightning, which can be controlled by the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, the Skye Eye which is capable of recording video and taking photos, and the Black Swann which can also record photos and videos.

Google’s Nexus Tablet To Take On Amazon Kindle Fire

We have been hearing rumors over the last few weeks that Google is looking to produce their own tablet, just like they have done with their Nexus range of smartphones.

According to DigiTimes, the Google Nexus tablet will be a 7 inch device, and it will be priced to be competitive with Amazon’s $199 Kindle Fire tablet, and it is expected to come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
