Skooba Unveils New Cable Stable Mini Organizer

Posted: 30 Jun 2011 12:03 PM PDT

If you have a laptop or other gadget that you take with you all over the place, you probably have some sort of laptop or gadget bag to carry it in. I have used a bunch of bags over the years and one of my favorites was from Skooba Designs. The company has announced a new accessory bag for people that take lots of cables with them on the road.

Skooba Cable Stable Mini

The new bag is called the Cable Stable and it is a small, compact bag that lets you keep all those charge cables geeks tend to need on the road in one place so you can find them. The little bag is zippered and measures 9″ x 5.5″ x 1.5″ and can slip into all sorts of different bag types. The bag alone is only 5.6 ounces.

Inside the case is a grid of elastic hold down tabs in different sizes that will hold your mobile mouse, iPhone charger, notebook charger and just about anything else you have cable wise. It even has a spot for pens too. The new Cable Stable Mini sells for $29.95 and it is available right now.

Homemade 555 Timer Chip Footstool Looks Like The Real Thing

Posted: 30 Jun 2011 11:49 AM PDT

As the tired old saying/meme goes, necessity is the mother of invention. The necessity in this particular scenario was a dire need for a foot stool. The mothering of course involved a very unique build that isn’t as hard core as some may presume. It’s design based on a 555 timer chip, the foot stool has proven itself durable enough to withstand the pressure of the heaviest feet around.

Microsoft Lands Onkyo for Patent Licensing for Android Tablets

Coral Tools Concept has Screwdrivers, Wine Opener, and Hammer Guide

Posted: 30 Jun 2011 11:19 AM PDT

I always misplace my screwdrivers. The things tend to roll under stuff and get put way in the back of a drawer where I can’t find them. If a screwdriver had a different design, it would be easier to keep up with. The Coral Tools concept from designers Jinyoung Choi, Junpyo Kim, Hyungwoo Uhm, Joonhyoung Seo & Kijo Son might be exactly what I need to be able to keep track of my tools.

I certainly experienced a tiny irrational sense of betrayal when Team Fortress 2 went F2P a few days ago, and Valve didn’t even charge me monthly for that one.
