| Hydrothermal Worm Haunts Your Nightmares Posted: 23 Jul 2011 04:00 AM PDT We’d love to claim the photo below was taken in outer space, but that isn’t true. Seen below is the hydrothermal worm, a rather obscure microorganism that lurks in thermal vents deep (really deep) in the ocean. It’s a recent discovery and its scientific name is still unknown.

Painted sensual red and defined by huge curves, the design competition finalist sprang forth from the minds of South Korean design students. They are Ahn Dre, Lee Sahngseok, and Kim Cheong Ju. They must feel like hugging themselves right now.

We guess XBLA needed a bit of an image boost after the unfavorable comparison to Steam the success of indie RPG “Cthulhu Saves The World” on Valve’s service has fostered. | Mortal Kombat Freddy Krueger DLC Explained Posted: 22 Jul 2011 03:34 PM PDT We’ll admit we were more than a little intrigued by yesterday’s news that Freddy Krueger will be putting in an appearance as a DLC fighter for Mortal Kombat. Good thing Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon was on hand to explain it to the PlayStation Blog, because while we do get it in the general sense that both franchises are more than a little violent, there’s got to be more there than the fact that Freddy Krueger has claws, right? If you want a new game that is a lot of fun and you can get for free, you need to hit the Android Market right now and get Fruit Ninja Free. This is the free version of the popular game.
