| Posted: 06 Jul 2011 06:54 AM PDT At the moment Microsoft’s Xbox Live service is currently offline, but Microsoft has not revealed the cause as yet, only posting a quick message saying they are aware of the problem. Could the service be down after a hacker attack or is it just a glitch in the system? Its not very often that Microsoft’s Xbox Live goes down and maintenance is normally announced so it will be interesting to see the cause once Microsoft have sorted the situation. Lets hope it not down for too long and experiences the same problems as Sony’s PSN over recent months. Today’s rumor comes courtesy of the Wall Street Journal, who have apparently received some information from Apple’s suppliers, and according to their information the iPhone 5 will be thinner and lighter than the current iPhone 4.

| Sony’s S1 And S2 Tablets Appear In Hands On Videos Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:55 AM PDT We have already seen some brief teaser videos of Sony’s new S1 and S2 Android tablets, and now the first hands on videos of both tablets have appeared on the web, and they give us a better look at these new Android tablets from Sony. The Sony S1 Android tablet features a 9.4 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, it comes with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, whilst the Sony S2 features a dual display, with each display measuring 5.5 inches, have a look at the videos of both of these new tablets in action below.

| Google Chrome Browser Climbs Above 20 Percent Market Share While IE Drops Below 50 Percent Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:30 AM PDT Google’s Chrome browser that was initially launched back December 2008 has now climbed to over 20 percent share of the browser market share according to new statistics released by StatCounter this week. Chromes market share stood at 20.7 percent in June 2011 and up 2.8 percent from the same month back in 2009. Unfortunately for Microsoft its IE browser in various versions has sliped back to 44 percent from a lofty 59 percent two years ago. The Nokia 700 Zeta is rumored to come with the Symbian Belle OS which is reported to be the next version after Symbian Anna, and it looks like it will features a 3.2 inch AMOLED display and a 1GHz processor.

| Microsoft Wants Samsung To Pay $15 For Every Android Smartphone Posted: 06 Jul 2011 04:07 AM PDT Recently Microsoft has come to agreement on a number of licensing deals with manufacturers of Android smartphones, as Microsoft owns some patents which are used in Google’s Android OS. Last year Microsoft signed a licensing deal with HTC, and recently they have signed deals with a number of smaller Android device makers, and now it looks like their next target is Samsung.

| MSI Unveils Worlds First PCI-E Gen 3 Motherboard Z68A-GD80 (G3) Posted: 06 Jul 2011 03:13 AM PDT MSI have unveiled a new motherboard which they have added to their range in the form of the Z68A-GD80 (G3) which is the world’s first motherboard to be equipped with PCI-E Gen 3. The PCI-E Gen 3 provides the motherboard with ultra-high 32GB/s transfer bandwidth, with the new PCI Express Gen 3 being 200 percent faster than the older PCI Express Gen 2 motherboards. The Z68A-GD80 (G3) is also backward compatible with older PCI Express 2.0 devices and will even enhance their performance considerably.

| Verizon Puts And End To Unlimited Data Plans Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:51 AM PDT Verizon Wireless has announced that the company is putting an end to unlimited data plans from today, Verizon previously offered an unlimited data plan for $30 a month, instead customers who are paying the $30 a month will now get 2GB of data. They have also added a couple of other plans for higher data users, $50 a month will get you 5GB of data and $80 a month will get you 10GB of data,Verizon is not the first mobile carrier to do this, AT&T did it last year and a number of the mobiles carriers here in the UK have done the same.

| Tokyoflash Kisai Kaidoku Watch (Video) Posted: 06 Jul 2011 12:44 AM PDT The latest geeky watch from the guys over at Tokyoflash is the Kisai Kaidoku Watch, which was designed by 15 year old Tynan Mayhew from Canada, and the watch was part of the Tokyoflash Design Challenge, which started out as a concept design and has now been made into a real watch. The Tokyoflash Kisai Kaidoku watch displays the time using words instead of numbers, and it features a colored LCD display and a leather strap and it is available in a range of different colors.
