I hate to vacuum and I would like to get one of these robotic vacuums that will keep my living room floors clean. Hulu is a streaming movie subscription service offering ad-supported on demand shows, movies, webisodes and other new media. The in demonstration the new software shows users controlling characters faces while engaged in a video chat with each other. Although this might not be the only use for the software on the PS Vita. It does showcase the features of the “Face Control” system that will soon allow handheld gamers to control their characters facial expressions. LG Optimus Black Coming To Sprint And Virgin In The US Posted: 04 Jul 2011 12:38 AM PDT It looks like the LG Optimus Black will be available in the US shortly with mobile carriers Sprint and Virgin, according to the guys over at Pocket Now, although we don’t have an exact launch date as yet. The LG Optimus Black has recently passed through the FCC in the US, which means it should be available shortly, and it looks like it will be available with Sprint, Virgin Mobile and possibly Alltel. As a reminder the LG Optimus Black features a 4 inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, there is also a 1GHz processor, and a five megapixel camera on the back with an LED flash and a two megapixel camera on the front for video chat. We recently got our hands on the new Optimus Black from LG, and were impressed by the handset, have a look at our LG Optimus Black review to see what we thought of it. Source Pocket Now

Toshiba Thrive Android Tablet Coming July 10th? HULC Robotic Exoskeleton Being Tested By US Army Posted: 03 Jul 2011 11:31 PM PDT The US Army has started testing Lockheed Martin’s HULC (Human Universal Load Carrier) robotic exoskeleton, at the US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center in Natick, Massachusetts. The HULC Exoskeleton is being tested is to see how much it will improve the endurance of soldiers and also how much it is capable of reducing their risk to injury, and it is being compared against soldiers carrying the same loads without the device. Quadrotor Quadrocopter Controlled By Microsoft Kinect (Video) Posted: 03 Jul 2011 10:53 PM PDT We have featured quite a few cool mods using the Microsoft Kinect here at Geeky Gadgets, and have seen a couple of quadrocopters controlled using the Kinect, here is another one which was created by the guys over at Flying Machine Arena. As you can see from the video below, the Quadrotor is controlled using hand movements, movement is controlled using the right hand and the left hand can be used to make it flip. iPhone 4 Prototype Appears On eBay Posted: 03 Jul 2011 10:33 PM PDT Another iPhone 4 prototype has appeared on eBay, although we are not sure if this one was actually found in a bar, it is currently listed on eBay with a bid of overt $100,000. According to the guys over at This Is My Next, the iPhone 4 prototype is similar to the model that Gizmodo got their hands on last year, and it features the code DF1692 etched on the casing, which is a unique number so Apple can keep track of its prototypes. City Of Light Book Lamp Is Great For Bedside Reading Posted: 03 Jul 2011 10:30 PM PDT It’s actually not called City of Light (instead it’s the Book of Light), but hey, the title works. City of Light is the work of writer Lauren Belfer. Seen below is the hardcover volume of hers that was gutted to make a nice reading lamp. Believe us, it’s totally gutted. But alas, genius can never be achieved without a requisite amount of chaos and destruction. Okay, that was overreacting a bit. What designer Steve Hoefer did was to remove (more like tear out the books innards and create a frame inside to fit a lamp). The result is wonderful accessory for the bedside that, to be honest, probably won’t make a nice reading lamp.
