| Posted: 28 Jul 2011 08:01 AM PDT RIM has announced the launch of a new version of its BlackBerry Messenger, BBM6 , and the new version now has support for BBM connected apps, which gives users an easier way to communicate with each other on their smartphones. This means that BBM users can chat with each other from within the app they are currently using, for example a game that supports the service would allow you to chat directly from within the game without having to switch to the messenger app.

The new clock uses the same sized faceplate and meters as used in the latest McIntosh stereo power amplifiers. | Logitech Revue Price Drops To $99, As Poor Quarter Results Force CEO To Resign Posted: 28 Jul 2011 07:38 AM PDT Logitech is having a rough time at the moment and has today reported that its suffered a $30 million loss in the second quarter of 2011, with its sales reportedly flat compared to the last quarter. The poor financial situation Logitech is now in has unfortunately forced the current CEO of the company Quindlen to resign, with chairman De Luca taking over. The good news for consumers though, especially if you have fancied purchasing a Revue is that Logitech have now slashed the price of their Revue box yet again down to a more reasonable $99. | Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G Lands On Verizon Posted: 28 Jul 2011 07:29 AM PDT The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G LTE has gone on sale with Verizon Wireless in the US today, and as we mentioned previously there are two models available, one with 16GB of storage which is available for $529 and one with 32GB of storage which retails for $629. Both models are available when you sign up to a new data contract with Verizon, and as a reminder of the specifications the Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800.

| Apple Top Smartphone Manufacturer, Android Top Platform According To Research Posted: 28 Jul 2011 06:57 AM PDT Nielsen have just released their latest numbers for the US smartphone market for the month of June, and according top their latest research Apple are the top smartphone manufactures with a share of 28 percent of the market for their iPhone. Google’s Android OS has taken a total of 39 percent of the market according to the report, making it the top smartphone platform in the US for June, and out of the Android devices HTC is the top manufacturer with a share of 14 percent.

| Apple’s Mac OS X Violates HTC S3 Patents According To ITC Posted: 28 Jul 2011 05:14 AM PDT It looks like HTC’s purchase of S3 may have been a smart move for the company, as according to Bloomberg, the ITC has found that Apple’s Mac OS X computers violates patents which are held by S3 Graphics, which HTC are currently in the process of purchasing. We recently heard that the ITC had found in favor of Apple and had said that HTC have infringed on two of Apple’s patents relating to the iPhone and iOS, HTC recently said that they would be happy to discuss the matter with Apple, and now it looks like they may have a bargaining tool.

Windows has never before support the RAW file format used in most of todays DLSR camera’s. Forcing users to use third party applications to be able to view and edit the files. RAW files are so named because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed or by edited with a bitmap graphics editor. | HTC Vigor Android Gingerbread Smartphone Specifications Revealed Posted: 28 Jul 2011 04:34 AM PDT Details of a new Android smartphone from HTC called the HTC have turned up on the NenaMark Benchmark, and we now have some specifications of this yet to be announced new Android smartphone from HTC. It looks like the HTC Vigor will feature a 1280 x 720 display, which sounds impressive and it will also feature a 1.5GHz processor, we are not sure if it is dual core, but we suspect it will be, plus a Qualcomm Adreno GPU.

| iPhone 5 Launch Second Week In September? Posted: 28 Jul 2011 03:58 AM PDT We pretty much know that Apple will launch the new iPhone 5 some time in September, Apple all but confirmed this in their recent quarterly earnings call, and we have heard various launch dates over the last few week from the 5th of September to the middle of September. Now the guys over at Mac Rumors are reporting that the iPhone 5 will launch in the second week in September, and the rumor comes from China Times who have apparently received information from Apple’s suppliers.

| BBC Launches iPlayer Global iPad App For Europe Posted: 28 Jul 2011 03:28 AM PDT The BBC has launched a new version of its BBC iPlayer iPad App, this one is a paid version and is available to people in Europe, and the BBC will be charging 6.99 Euros a month or 49.99 Euros a year for the app. The new BBC iPlayer Global app is available to Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, and subscribers to the app will be able to watch a range of TV programmes from the BBC.

| Nintendo 3DS Price Dropped To $170 Posted: 28 Jul 2011 02:53 AM PDT Sales of Nintendo 3DS have been a lot lower than Nintendo had expected, and the console which went on sale in March originally retailed for $250, and now just 4 months after the release of the 3DS Nintendo has decided to drop the price in order to boost sales. Nintendo are dropping the price of the 3DS by $80, down to $170, which is a pretty big drop from the consoles original retail price, but will this be enough to boost sales of the 3DS.
