Robot uses glue gun to make tools

We say that tool making is a sign of intelligence. Humans can use tools, monkeys have been known to use tools and now robots are making their own tools as well. Researchers at ETH Zurich are developing a “self-reconfigurable” device that uses a glue gun for creating the tools it needs on the fly.

Alternate Wii U controller design shows up on Twitter

If you are looking forward to the Wii U’s new tablet style controller, then check this out. A tester tweeted an image of a slightly different Wii U controller than the one seen at E3 2011. The picture was accompanied by the tweet “look what we have at work!”

Microsoft tells Windows Phone users to update to Windows Phone 7.5

Many of us like to procrastinate. If that sounds like you, then pay attention. Microsoft is requesting that you move ahead to Windows Phone 7.5 if you have not already done so. Microsoft's director of program management Mazhar Mohammed says that he would like Windows Phone users to finish updating to Windows Phone 7.5 so that they can buy, update or download apps from the Windows Marketplace portal.

Amazon to charge $600,000 for ads on Amazon Kindle Fire’s welcome page

When you have a hit TV Show, more people are watching, therefore, you can charge more for ad space during that program. Tech isn’t all that different. Take the Kindle Fire. Super popular. If you want to advertise in front of an audience that is tech savvy (at least enough to be using an Android tablet), it may soon cost you $600,000 to do so.
