Samsung Tizen reference device video leaks

Apple And Samsung Drop Multiple Patent Claims Against Each Other

Solar Powered Cigar Box Amp Kit (video)

John Wilson of Minneapolis has made a few alterations to his existing Stella amp kit to make a solar version of the Stella amp. Equipped with a useful solar panel, allowing you to use the amp anywhere you have a little direct sunlight. Originally Wilson wanted to make a rugged poly-coated wood enclosure for the finished amp, that could stand up to being left outside in a light rain.

Microsoft’s Subsidized Xbox 360 Gets Official

Audio-Technica has launched a new set of noise cancelling headphones called the ATH-ANC9 QuietPoint active noise-cancelling over-ear headphones. The new headphones take pride of place at the top of Audio-Technica range and are priced at $300. Nokia City Lens Beta App For Lumia Windows Phone Devices Launched (Video)

Transformer Toy Car Automatically Transforms (video)

Kyocera Hydro Waterproof Android Handset Announced

Kyocera has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone, the Kyocera Hydro which is a waterproof Android handset that comes with the latest version of Google’s Android OS, version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

MIT Student Builds Awesome Mario Kart (Video)

Charles Guan decided to build his own working Mario Kart, which he calls the Chibikart, it was built from scratch and the build took Charles around three weeks from his concept until his first test drive.

You can see this fun Mario Kart inspired vehicle in action in the video below, it was made from a range of different parts which cost around $1300, but he already had the lithium ion battery and has estimated it would cost around $1,750 to built including the battery cost.

Lenovo Launches K91 Android 4.0 Smart TV In China

Apple To Launch $800 MacBook Air In Quarter Three?

Google To Test Drive Self Driving Cars On Nevada Roads

Back in February, Nevada approved the testing of ‘Self Driving’ vehicles on its roads, and now it looks like Google will be one of the first companies to test out a self driving car in Nevada.

Google has been given a license by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, to test its autonomous vehicles on the roads in Nevada, in order to obtain the license, Google had to put up a $1 million insurance bond and also outline how they plan to test the vehicles.

Samsung Announces $4 Million Smart App Challenge (Video)

Samsung has announced a new challenge in an attempt to get developers to create applications for Android tablets, called the Samsung Smart App Challenge 2012, the company is offering over $4 million in prizes.

Samsung is looking for developers to build applications for their Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab Android devices, and prizes for the most popular applications will range from $30,000 to $200,000.

Toshiba Excite 10 Android Tablet Now Available From $450

Toshiba’s new Excite 10 inch Android tablet, has now appeared in online stores and is available to purchase from $449 for the 16GB version, with the 32Gb costing $529 and the 64GB priced at $649.

The new Toshiba Excite 10 tablet builds on the Toshiba Excite 10 LE which was launched a few weeks back. The latest Toshiba Excite 10 tablet is equipped with a 10 inch, 1280 x 800 touchscreen display and runs Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

Kinect Star Wars Demo Now Available (video)

Apple Releases iOS 5.1.1 Software Update

Apple has released a new update to its iOS software for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, the update is iOS 5.1.1 and it is now available to download to your iOS device.

The iOS 5.1.1 software update comes with a range of bug fixes and performance improvements which include improved reliability of using HDR photos which are taken using the lock screen camera shortcut.

Apple Extends MobileMe Subscribers Free 20GB iCloud Storage To September

When Apple announced their iCloud service, they also announced that MobileMe users would have to switch to iCloud bu the end of June of 2012, and they offered users of MobileMe who had purchased additional storage free storage on iCloud until the 30th of June 2012.

It looks like Apple has now decided to extend the free storage period until the 30th of September 2012, and this was discovered on Apple’s website, you can see the details here.

Angry Birds Makes Rovio $106 Million In 2011

Rovio Mobile, the company behind the massively popular Angry Birds series of mobile games has announced its financial results for 2011, and Angry Birds made Rovio a massive $106,3 million in 2011.

Rovio have said that the massive revenue is due to strong growth in the game downloads and also in consumer product sales, we have seen quite a few different Angry Birds themed gadgets recently,  and they are obviously extremely popular.

Google Play Hits 15 Billion App Downloads

Google Play, which was previously the Android Market has hit a new milestone, there have been more than 15 billion Android apps downloaded from the Google Play Store.

The news first came from the Independent who said that Google was about to reach the 15 billion app downloads mark, and TechCrunch reached out to Google and discovered that they had actually hit 15 billion downloads a couple of weeks ago.
