| LG Optimus Elite Headed To Virgin Mobile 15th May Posted: 11 May 2012 05:27 AM PDT We first heard about the new LG Optimus Elite back in March when the handset was leaked, and now the device is official and will launch on US mobile carrier Virgin Mobile on the 15th of May. Virgin Mobile will be offering the LG Optimus Elite for $149.99 from the 15th of May and it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and feature NFC plus Google Wallet.

| LG LS970 Krait Quad Core Android Smartphone In The Works Posted: 11 May 2012 04:57 AM PDT According to the guys over at Brief Mobile, LG has a new high end Android smartphone in the works, the LG LS970 which will apparently come with 28nm 1.5GHz Qualcomm quad core Krair Processor and an Adreno 320 GPU. The handset is rumored to be called the LG Eclispe and will also feature 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, plus a 4.67 inch HD LCD with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

| SIM Free Nokia 808 PureView Headed To The US? Posted: 11 May 2012 03:23 AM PDT The Nokia 808 PureView will launch in selected countries this month, Nokia had previously said that they had no plans to launch the handset in the US, and whilst it won’t be available with any of the US carriers it is possible a SIM free version will launch in the US. The news comes from Nokia’s US President, Chris Weber, who recently told PCMag that Nokia has not ruled out launching a SIM free version of the PureView in the US.

| Rovio Acquires Casey’s Contraptions Game Posted: 10 May 2012 11:17 PM PDT It looks like Rovio Mobile, the company behind the massively popular Angry Birds has a new game in the works as they have announced that they have acquired the IP for the game ‘Casey’s Contraptions’. Rovio announced the news at the same time they announced that Angry Birds had reached 1 billion downloads, and the purchased the rights to the game from the previous developers Snappy Touch and Mystery Coconut.

| Proview Rejects $16 Million iPad Settelement From Apple Posted: 10 May 2012 10:59 PM PDT We heard the other day that Apple has offered Proview a settlement in their iPad trademark case in China, and now it would appear that the offer made to Proview has been rejected. According to a recent report, Apple have offered Proview a settlement which is worth around $16 million for the rights to the iPad trademark in China, but it looks like Proview has decided not to accept it.
