Asus Announces Zenbook UX32VD Ultrabook

Asus has announced another new ultrabook notebook, the new model is the Asus Zenbook UX32VD and it will come with Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors plus NVIDIA graphics.

The Asus Zenbook UX32VD will come with a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT620m graphics card and it looks like there will be a few different models available with hard drives and solid state drives.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 With Kepler Architecture Arrives For $399

Amazon Announces Harry Potter Books Coming To Kindle Owners Lending Library

Amazon has announced that all seven of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter books are coming to their Kindle Owners Lending Library, the books will be available in multiple languages from the 19th of June.

They will be available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish to the Kindle Owners Lending Library, which Amazon says now has over 145,000 books.

LG Optimus LTE2 Photos Leaked

HP And 3M Announce One Wire Ethernet Powered PC

HP and 3M have developed a new system for powering computers using an Ethernet cable, instead of a power cable, and the computer uses 3M technology called One Wire.

Essentially One Wire is an Ethernet cable that will provide an Internet and network connection to the computer, at the same time it also supplies the power to the computer, doing away with the need for a separate power cable.

Huawei Ascend Y 100 Android Smartphone Announced For O2 UK

UK mobile carrier O2 and Huawei have announced the launch of a couple of new Android smartphones here in the UK, one of those is the new G7105, the other is the Huawei Y 100.

The Huawei Y 100 will be available exclusively through O2 in the UK from June, and the handset will retail for £79.99 on O2′s pay as you go contract or free on their £10 per month contract.

Call Of Duty Elite Passes 10 Million Members, With 2 Million Paying

Activision has today revealed that its online Call of Duty Elite service has signed up over 10 million members, of which 2 million are paying for the service on an annual basis. The paid service from Call of Duty Elite costs members $49 a year and provides extras and special advanced access to new maps and game DLCs.

Instagram Concept Camera Is A Cool Idea

The Instagram Socialmatic Camera is the work of designer Antonio De Rosa from ADR Studio, and basically it is a concept for an Instagram camera that will let you take photos and then print them out directly from the camera like a Polaroid, you would also be able to share your photos via Instagram.

The designer behind the idea says that the camera would come with a 4.3 inch touchscreen, built in WiFi, 2 lenses, one for capturing standard photos and a second for 3D photos.

Using a little Arduino wizardry Blair Kelly has been able to kit out a remote control mini car with force feedback control capabilities and a driving view perspective. Using a camera streaming the images over Wifi directly to your HDTV, watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

ZTE Tania Windows Phone Smartphone Coming To The US

ZTE recently launched their latest Windows Phone smartphone here in the UK, the ZTE Tania, and now it looks like the handset may be headed to the US according to ZTE’s North American president Lixin Cheng, who recently spoke to Cnet.

Unfortunately he did not say when the handset would launch in the US, only that it would be available some time later this year, and no details on any specific carriers were mentioned.

Pebble Smart Watch Funding Closes Early After Passing $10 Million In Pledges

Dutch Court Rules That The Pirate Bay Must Be Blocked By ISPs

A court in the UK recently decided that The Pirate Bay must be blocked by a number of ISPs, and now a court in the Hague has ruled that Dutch Internet providers must also block access to The Pirate Bay.

The news comes after the Netherlands was the first country to pass net neutrality into law, and whilst the law is designed to prevent ISPs from throttling traffic or charging for premium services, it also allows for websites to be blocked via a court order.

Awesome Skyrim Birthday Cake

When you first feast your eyes on this amazing cakes its hard to believe its edible. But its creators Baking Obsession have created something so amazing is seems a shame to actually eat it.

The cake has been airbrushed to give it the effect of dragon scales and the finished cake is so detailed it looks more like a plastic sculpture rather than, four 13 x 18″ sheets of chocolate cake, soaked in strawberry syrup, and sandwiched with bittersweet strawberry ganache, gum paste and modelling chocolate.

CoPilot Free iOS And Android Navigation App Launched

CoPilot has had paid versions of its navigation applications available on both Apple’s iOS platform and Google’s Android platform for a while now, and the company behind the apps, ALK Technolgies has just announced a free version of the app for both platforms.

Then app is available to download for free, and with that you get free maps to one country, you can purchase additional maps and if you want to use turn by turn navigation this will cost you an additional fee, with the voice guided navigation retailing for £19.99 and if you want to add in live traffic information this will cost you £9.99.

Autodesk Launches 123D Catch iPad App To Convert Photos In 3D Objects (video)

Autodesk has launched a couple of new iPad applications called 123D Catch and 123D Make Intro. The first 123D Catch has been created to provide an easy way to convert 2D photos into 3D objects.

The 123D Catch application has been designed to allow you to take photos with your iPad an then submit them for processing on the Autodesk Cloud. Your 2D photo is then automatically converted into a realistic 3D model which you can then view, share, and download.

The Nokia Lumia 900 was due to go on sale here in the UK next week, with the handset due to launch on Monday the 14th of May, well it looks like one mobile retailer has decided to sell Nokia’s new Lumia Windows Phone device a little early.

Angry Birds Hits 1 Billion Downloads

Rovio Mobile recently announced their financial figures for 2011, and we heard that the company had generated more than $106 million in revenue from Angry Birds.

Now Rovio has announced that Angry Birds has hit a massive 1 billion downloads, which certainly is very impressive, and the 1 billion downloads includes all versions of the game across multiple platforms which include iOS, Android Mac OS and Windows.

Samsung’s 55 Inch OLED TV To Cost $9,000

Earlier today we heard that Samsung’s new 55 inch OLED TV is ready to go into production, unfortunately Samsung did not give any information on pricing or a release date when it was announced.

Now we have some price information, according to the AP, who have spoken to Samsung this new OLED TV will retail for around 10 million won, which roughly works out at around $9,000.

Sony And Google Announce New Google TV Box (Video)

Lenovo Recalls 188,000 ThinkCentre M90z & M70z All-In-One Desktops Due To Fire Risk

Lenovo has expanded the recall of its ThinkCentre all-in-one desktops, and has issued an announcement recommending that users should immediately stop using the affected desktop PCs.

Lenovo requests that users unplug the power cord on ThinkCentre M90z and M70z PCs sold between May 2010 and March 2012, which amounts to around 188,000 systems.

AOC Breeze 9 Inch Android Tablet Appears At The FCC

AOC launched their first Android tablet last year, and now it looks like they have a new Android tablet on the way, as a yet to be announced 9 inch Android tablet has appeared at the FCC.

The tablet is called the AOC Breeze and it will come with a 9 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and it also features 1GB of RAM.

Playsurface Multi-Touch Computing Table Launches On Kickstarter (video)

A new project has been launched on Kickstarter which hopes to bring large touch screen computing into homes for an affordable prices.

The design of the Playsurface has been created by Len White and Chris Templeman, and their idea was to create a “hackable, multi-use, blazingly fast touch computing platform for gaming, music, browsing, device control, and other applications.”  Watch the video after the jump to see them explain the Playsurface in detail and see it in action.

On the Playstation Blog Sony has announced the arrival of a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PS3 bundle, that will be arriving in stores on May 25th. The limited edition PS3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle includes a 320GB PlayStation 3 System and a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for $299.

Samsung Buys Cloud Streaming Startup mSpot

Samsung have announced that the have acquired cloud streaming startup mSpot, a company who provides streaming solutions for media including video and music.

So it looks like Samsung will be releasing their own cloud based music and video streaming offering to take on Apple’s iCloud, and Samsung will be integrating the software into their Android devices.

Apple FileVault Issue Fixed In Latest OS X 10.7.4 Update

Apple has today released a new update for its OS X Lion operating systems to address the security issue and FileVault bug, that in certain circumstances made users names and passwords available in text files.

Apple recommends that all OS X Lion users update to 10.7.4, which includes a number of general operating system fixes improving stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac system.

Samsung Demos 55 Inch Production OLED TV

Samsung has announced that their new 55 inch OLED TV is ready for production and the company has shows it off at the Samsung Premium TC Showcase 2012.

The Samsung ES9500 OLED TV  was first seen at CES back in January, and it comes with a range of features which include Samsung’s ‘Smart Content’, a dual view feature which allows two people to watch two channels at once in full screen mode.
