PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale in the Works

Sony has announced it is working on a new title for the PlayStation 3 called All-stars Battle Royale. The game will feature characters from multiple PlayStation 3 games including some third-party games in addition to Sony developed first party titles. This game will be a fighting game apparently only for the PS3.

Entry Level Sony Xperia ST21i Android 4.0 Smartphone Leaked

It looks like Sony has a new budget Android smartphone in the works, the Sony ST21i which is expected to come with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The guys over at Techblog.gr managed to get their hands on some photos of the new Sony ST21i, which you can see below and the device is rumored to be powered by a single core Snapdragon processor clocked at 800MHz.

Android 5.0 Jelly Bean Headed To GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus First?

The next version of Google’s Android OS, which will be Android 5.0 is rumored to be codenamed Android Jelly Bean, and it is rumored to launch some time in quarter three of 2012.

It looks like the GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus may be the first handset to get the Android 5.0 Jelly Bean update, the information regarding the update comes from a crash log that refers to a mysterious software profile called ‘takju’ which was discovered by the guys from Android Police.

Nokia Earned More From iPhone Than Its Nokia Lumia Windows Phones?

According to a recent report Nokia is making more from Apple’s iPhone than it is currently making from its own Nokia Lumia Windows Phone devices, the company recently announced that its mobile phone division made a loss.

According to the guys over at Apple Insider, Nokia made around 600 million from patents that it licensed to Apple relating to Apple’s iPhone range which include the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

Another Samsung Galaxy S III Photo Leaked?

We have already seen a couple of photos of the new Samsung Galaxy S III, although the photos we saw were of the device in dummy boxes, and now another photo has appeared online, which is reported to be the next Galaxy smartphone.

Unfortunately the photo isn’t the best quality, have a look at it below, we don’t know if this is the final design or just another dummy case, what do you guys think?

Wii U Coming With Android App Support?

Its been rumoured that the new Nintendo Wii U expected to make an appearance later this year, will come with ability to run Android applications directly out of the box.

But rather than just trying to make the system accommodate the Android apps, Nintendo is apparently building Android into their system, for real, working alongside the Wii U’s own user interface and software.

Samsung Stages Fake Protest Outside Apple Store (Video)

Samsung latest adverts and marketing campaigns have been having a dig at Apple, their latest one is somewhat strange as Samsung decided to stage a fake protest outside an Apple Store in Australia.

Samsung sent a bus load of protesters to  an Apple Store in Australia, and then had the protesters chant ‘Wake Up’ outside the store while brandishing some ‘Wake Up signs’.

Galaxy S III, Droid RAZR HD And New 5 Inch HTC Smartphone Headed To Verizon

According to a recent report from the BGR, there are a number of new devices headed to Verizon Wireless this summer, which will include the new Samsung Galaxy S III.

Other devices reported to be landing on version include a Droid RAZR HD, which we presume will feature a HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, plus a yet to be announced device from HTC that will feature a 5 inch touchscreen display.

Dropbox Enables Automatic Photo Uploading For PC And Mac Systems

Dropbox has this week enabled a new feature on its service which follows on from the roll out of their Android app back in February, that automatically uploaded images directly to your Dropbox account.

BlackBerry Curve 9320 Press Shots Revealed

The guys over at the Verge have got their hands on some press shots of RIM’s latest BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry Curve 9320, the device is designed for the budget and emerging markets.

RIM has yet to officially announce the new BlackBerry Curve 9320, so we don’t have the full specifications, what we do know is that it will comer with a physical QWERTY keyboard and will run BlackBerry OS 7.1.

Panasonic And NHK Working On New 145 Inch Plasma TV With 8K Resolution

Panasonic has announced that it will be working with NHK to produce a new plasma TV which will measure a massive 145 inches, and will come with a whopping 8K resolution.

Sony has this week added a new waterproof Handycam to their range of video recorders in the form of the Sony HDR-GW77V. Which has been designed to go under water in depths of up to 16 ft for up to 60 minutes.

Half Of US Android Tablets In US May Be The Amazon Kindle Fire

The Amazon Kindle Fire, with its $199 price tag has been an incredibly popular Android tablet, and whilst Amazon has yet to release any recent details on how many of the tablet they have sold, according to one research firm the Kindle fire could make up almost half of the Android tablets in the US.

The news comes from comScore, which collects data on which devices access websites, and the company has done some analysis on Android tablets, and Amazon’s Kindle Fire came out as the most used.

Google Sells SketchUp 3D Modelling Software To Trimble Navigation

HTC Droid Incredible 4G Lands On Verizon May 10th?

Earlier in the week Verizon listed the new HTC Droid Incredible on their Droid Does website for a short time,the device was then removed, but we got to find out some details about Verizon’s latest Droid smartphone.

Now according to the guys over at Phone Dog, the HTC Incredible 4G will land on Verizon on the 10th of May, we already know that the device will cost $299.99 when you sign up to a two year contract with the carrier, but Verizon has yet to officially announce the device and confirm the launch date.

Samsung Reports Massive Quarter One Profits

Earlier we heard that Samsung has overtaken Nokia to become the worlds largest handset vendor in quarter one of 2012, and Samsung has recently released its financial details for the same quarter.

Samsung posted record profits for quarter one of 2012, almost double that for the same period last year, with an operating profit of 8.85 trillion won, about $5.16 billion, which is a 98 percent gain over the same period on 2011.

Sony NEX-F3 Camera Leaked, Features 16 Megapixel Sensor

It looks like Sony has another camera in the works for its NEX mirrorless camera series, the NEX-F3, and as you can see from the photo below, the NEX-F3 will feature a 16.1 megapixel camera sensor.

The new Sony NEX-F3 features the same 16 megapixel sensor that can be found in the NEX-C3, although it comes with improved image quality due to a new BIONZ processor.

Samsung Overtakes Nokia As Worlds Largest Phone Maker

Nokia has been the worlds largest mobile phone maker for quite some time, and whilst the company hasn’t done well in recent years with smartphones, it has with normal mobile phones.

For the last 14 years Nokia has shipped more mobile phones than any other company, but according to research firm Strategy Analytics, that changed in quarter one of 2012, with Samsung shipping more mobile phones than Nokia.

iOS Developers Launch IndieDevLab, Alternative To WWDC 2012

Apple started selling tickets for its WWDC 2012 earlier this week, the tickets were sold out in under two hours, and many developers missed out on them because Apple started selling them at 5.30 AM Pacific time.

Wolfram Alpha PC App Launches For $2.99
