It looks like Nokia is getting ready to release the update, according to the guys over at The Verge, the update is now available for some versions of the Lumia 710 and the Nokia Lumia 800C, which is the Chinese variant.

| AT&T Activates 4.3 Million iPhones In Quarter One Of 2012 Posted: 24 Apr 2012 05:52 AM PDT AT&T has just released its first quarter earnings report for 2012, and the company has announced that they have activated over 4.3 million iPhones in the first quarter, with 21 percent of these being for new customers. AT&T activated 3.6 million iPhones in the first quarter of 2011, so an increase from the previous year, although they did have a record quarter after the launch of the iPhone 4S where they activated 7.6 million iPhones in the last quarter of 2011.

O2 announced that they would be stocking the next Galaxy smartphone on Twitter, with the following tweet, ‘Excited about the next Samsung Galaxy? So are we – that’s why it’ll be coming to O2′.

| Samsung Releases Android 4.0 Update List For US Posted: 24 Apr 2012 04:53 AM PDT Samsung has revealed some details of which of its Android devices and also the mobile carriers that will be getting the Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich updates, and the list includes smartphones from all the carriers along with tablets. | Skype For Windows Phone Working On Lower End Devices Like Nokia Lumia 610 Posted: 24 Apr 2012 04:04 AM PDT Microsoft recently released Skype 1.0 for Windows Phone, and along with the release came the news that the app would only support devices with 512MB of RAM or more, this ruled out some of the newer budget handsets which come with 256 MB of RAM like the Nokia Lumia 610. According to Nokia, the latest version of Skype will work with the Nokia Lumia 610 even though the device only comes with 256MB of RAM, and the app is available for the Lumia 610 in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

| Samsung Galaxy S III Confirmed By Samsung Unpacked 2012 App Posted: 24 Apr 2012 03:32 AM PDT Samsung has be teasing us with details of their new Galaxy smartphone, which the company has been calling the ‘next Galaxy’, and now we have some confirmation that the device will be called the Galaxy S III. Samsung has released a new app on Google Play, called the Samsung mobile Unpacked 2012 app, and as you can see from the screenshot below, the description of the app has a reference to the ‘galaxy s3′.

| Facebook Now Has More Than 900 Million Users Posted: 24 Apr 2012 02:41 AM PDT The last time we had some information from Facebook, the company reported they had over 800 million users, and it looks like that has jumped more than 100 million, as Facebook has revealed that they now have a total of 901 million active monthly users. The company also revealed some more financial information, the details were provided in Facebook’s updated Form S-1, and their first quarter revenue is up to $1.06 billion this compares to $731 million for the same period in the previous year.

| HTC Evo 4G LTE Coming To Sprint May 18th? Posted: 24 Apr 2012 02:07 AM PDT Sprint officially announced the new HTC EVO 4G LTE earlier this month, and now it looks like we may have an official launch date for the handset on Sprint, according to the guys over at Android and Me, Sprint will start selling the HTC EVO 4G LTE from the 18th of May. The HTC EVO 4G LTE will be available for $199.99 when you sign up to a new two year agreement with Sprint, and the device will apparently go up for pre-order from the 7th of May.

| Microsoft’s Xbox Infringes Motorola Patents According To ITC Ruling Posted: 23 Apr 2012 11:24 PM PDT The US International Trade C omission has just issued a preliminary ruling in a case between Microsoft and Motorola, and the judge dealing with the case has said that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 infringes on four of Motorola’s patents. The patents are related to H.264 video encoding, which is a standard video format, but the judge dealing with the case wasn’t convinced that ‘Motorola will kill video on the web’ but not licensing the patents under FRAND.
