Intel Debuts 910 Series PCIe Solid-State Drives

Intel has announced a new and very fast solid-state drive for enterprise and datacenter use. The drive is called SSD 910 series and is designed to slip into servers without having to change the server design. The drives slip into the PCI express slot inside the computer.

Over 200 Voice Commands Coming in New Skyrim Xbox 360 Update

I like a few more details on this, what we know right now is that an update is coming sometime this month for Skyrim on the Xbox 360. The update will add support for voice commands via Kinect. It’s not clear if other platforms will get the non-voice features this update has or not.

Netflix Windows Phone App Now Offers Streaming In UK, Ireland, And Latin America

Netflix has this week rolled out a new updated for its Windows Phone application and Xbox 360 apps. The new Windows Phone Netflix app update now brings streaming support to users in the UK, Ireland and Latin America. As well as supporting additional locations Netflix has also added support for more regions allowing users to enjoy the application in their own language.

LG Viper Goes Up For Pre-order At Sprint

The LG Viper was announced recently for US mobile carrier Sprint, and now the handset is available to pre-order from Sprint for $99.99, after a rebate when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier.

The LG Viper comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features a 4 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a dual core 1.2GHz processor.

Toshiba Excite 10 Tablet Appears At The FCC

Earlier this week Toshiba announced three new tablets in its Excite range, which are expected to go on sale in the US in May, and now the Toshiba Excite 10 has appeared at the FCC.

The Toshiba Excite 10 is expected to retail for $450 and it features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display and is powered by a quad core 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and comes with 1GB of RAM.

Mass Effect 3 ‘Operation Resurgence’ Weekend Announced

BioWare has announced that any MAss Effect 3 player wh have downloaded and installed the latest Mass Effect 3 Resurgence Pack multiplayer DLC will be able to take part in the Operation Resurgence multiplayer event this weekend.

The recent Mass Effect 3 Resurgence Pack multiplayer DLC was released by BioWare for free and adds new unlockable content: deadly weapons, new consumables, and powerful characters for each class in multiplayer, including the Asari Justicar, Batarian, Geth, and Krogan Battlemaster.

More Evidence That Galaxy Nexus Will Land On Sprint April 22nd

We heard recently that the Galaxy Nexus is expected to land on Sprint on the 22nd of April, and now the guys over at Android Life have discovered some moire evidence that points to the 22nd as the actual launch date for the Galaxy Nexus on Sprint.

We recently saw some leaked training slides from Sprint on the Galaxy Nexus, which also revealed the handsets specifications, and now it looks like Sprint will complete their training on the device on the 22nd of April.

Pebble: E-Paper Watch For iPhone and Android (video)

A new wristwatch concept has been launched on Kickstarter this week that’s been designed to connect to your iPhone or Android smartphone. allowing you to use the GPS, and control your smartphone from your wrist.

The Pebble watch is equipped with an e-paper display, accelerometer, vibrating motor , powerful micro processor and can be powered by its internal battery for up to seven days. Watch the video after the jump to see Eric Migicovsky talk you though the unique watch concept.

Nokia Sells Two Million Lumia Smartphones In Q1

Nokia has released some details on its latest sales figures for its new Lumia range of Windows Phone devices, and the company has sold a total of two million Lumia Windows Phone smartphones in quarter one of 2012.

Nokia also announced some preliminary information ahead of the release of its quarter one financial results, and it looks like Nokia will make a loss of around 3 percent below their ‘break even’ figures.

Tangram Design Lab’s new iPhone Smart Dot presentation laser pointer and iOS application is set to launch later this month and provides a clean system for helping you conduct presentations using your Apple devices.

The Smart Dot device consists of a small laser pointer that can be inserted into your iPhones 3.5mm headphone socket. When used in conjunction with the Smart Dot companion application, it will allow you to use your iPhone as a touch screen controller for your presentation.

Windows Phone 8 Build Appears In Social Networking App

It looks like Microsoft is testing early builds of Windows Phone 8, which is codenamed Apollo, as evidence of a Windows Phone 8.0.9662.0 has appeared in a social networking app and was discovered by the guys from WPCentral.

According to the report, Microsoft started testing Windows Phone 8 internally on the 30th of March, and according to the developer of the application, the Windows Phone 8 build was being run from an emulator.

Kindle Touch 5.1.0 Update Adds Landscape Support, International Languages And More

Amazon has this week rolled out a new update for their Kindle Touch tablet taking its software to version 5.1.0. Springpad 3.0 Arrives With New User Interface And More

Springpad a similar styled service to Evernote for note taking and personal content management, has this week launched a new update to their mobile applications with the launch of Springpad 3.0.

Sony Xperia Sola Appears At The FCC

The Sony Xperia Sola was announced last month, and now it looks like it is getting ready to launch in the US as the device has just appeared at the FCC, and the handset features Sony’s new ‘Floating Touch’ touchscreen technology.

The Xperia Sola will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and Sony has said that the device will get Android 4.0 ICS after release, it features a 3.7 inch Reality Display with Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine.

LG About To Launch Google TVs In The US

We know that LG has been working on a range of Google TVs, and now according to a recent report LG are getting ready to launch their new Google TVs in the US, and we could possibly see the first devices launch this month.

According to the Korea Herald, LG will be launching two new Google TVs, one with a 47 inch display which is expected to retail for $1,600 and one with a 55 inch display which is expected to retail for $2,100.

Verizon Announces $30 Upgrade Fee For Existing Customers

Huawei Ascend G 300 Lands On Vodafone UK This Friday

Vodafone UK has announced that they will be offering the Huawei Ascend G 300 on their network here in the UK from this Friday the 13 of April, and the device will be available on both pay monthly plans and Vodafone’s pay as you go offering.

The Huawei Ascend G 300 will be available for free on Vodafone’s £15.50 a month 24 month contract and for £100 on their PAYG plan when you purchase a £10 top up, so basically £110.

QLOCKTWO W Watch Reveals The Time In Words

Some of you might remember the wall clocks we have featured here on Geeky Gadgets that told the time in words rather than numbers, such as the Qlocktwo Clock and the DIY Arduino Word Clock.

Well you can now take the same style of time telling on to your wrist with the QLOCKTWO W wristwatch, which has been created by Biegert & Funk. The Biegert & Funk QLOCKTWO W wristwatch does not have hands or digits, and indicates the current time using only words which are illuminated on the watches face.

Samsung Announces Galaxy Player 3.6 And 4.2 For US

Samsung has announced a couple of new models for its Galaxy Player range, the Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6 and the Galaxy Player 4.2, both models will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 features a 4.2 inch WVGA display and a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, the device also comes with a two megapixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera for video chat.

HTC Incredible 4G Photos And Specifications Leaked

Some leaked photos of the new HTC Incredible 4G which is headed to Verzion Wireless, along with the devices specifications have been revealed by the guys from Android Police.

The HTC Incredible 4G looks like it will feature a 4 inch qHD touchscreen display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, and the device will be powered by a dual core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz, possibly the S4.

Google Currents Launches Internationally

Google launched their Google Currents application for Android and Apple’s iOS back in December, the application lets you read online magazines and other content on your mobile device or tablet.

When the app was launched it was only available in the US, and now Google has tolled out Google currents internationally, and is now available for both Android and iOS around the world.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Pricing Announced

Samsung has announced the pricing details of its new Galaxy Tab 2 tablet range, there are two models in the range the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch version and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 inch version.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 will go on sale later this month and the tablet will be available to pre-order within the next few days for $250, which sounds pretty good considering the devices specifications.

T-Mobile Holding HTC One S Event April 18th

We recently heard a rumor that T-Mobile would be offering the new HTC One S in the US from the 25th of April, and now T-Mobile has sent out invites to a HTC One S event for the week before the rumored launch date on the 18th of April.

As you can see from the invite below, T-Mobile will be officially announcing the availability of the HTC One S on their network on the 18th of April, and whilst we don’t have an official launch date from them as yet, the rumored 25th of April launch date looks about right, unless they decide to make the device available earlier.

Google+ Gets A New Design And Features (Video)

Google has updated its Google+ social network with a new design and has also added in some new features, as you can see in the photo below, there is now a navigation bar on the left of your Google+ page.

You can now access all the sections on Google+ from the left navigation bar, and the sections can be rearranged and new sections can be added into the navigation bar, there is also an options to add a cover photo to your Google+ page.
