| Toshiba Announces New All In One PCs With Ivy Bridge Processors Posted: 10 Apr 2012 05:34 AM PDT Toshiba has announced a new pair of all in one PCs which will feature Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors, and the two models are the LX815 and the LX835, and they share similar hardware specifications. The Toshiba LX815 features a 21.5 inch LCD display whilst the LX835 features a 23 inch display and both models come with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

| Toshiba Announces Three New Excite Android Tablets Posted: 10 Apr 2012 05:24 AM PDT Toshiba has announced three new Android tablets, and the three devices are part of Toshiba’s Excite range and include a 7 inch tablet, a 10 inch tablet and a 13 inch tablet, and all of the tablets share similar specifications. The three new Excite Android tablets are powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and each ones comes with 1GB of RAM and the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

| LG D1L Android Smartphone With 4.7 Inch Display Coming In May? Posted: 10 Apr 2012 05:14 AM PDT It looks like LG is preparing to launch a new Android smartphone which the company is hoping will take on Samsung’s new Galaxy S III smartphone which is also expected to be announced in May. The device is called the LG D1L and it is expected to feature a 4.7 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and processing will be provided by a dual core 1.5GHz Krait processor plus an Adreno 225 GPU.

| Nokia 808 PureView Goes Up For Pre-order In Italy Posted: 10 Apr 2012 04:47 AM PDT The Nokia 808 PureView was announced back in February, and now the device has gone up for pre-order in Italy, with an expected launch date of May, and the smartphone is listed with a price of 600 Euros on Nokia’s website. The Nokia 808 PureView features a 41 megapixel camera and a 4 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels and runs Symbian Belle as its OS.

| Nokia Lumia 900 Owners Reporting Mobile Data Problems Posted: 10 Apr 2012 03:46 AM PDT Nokia’s Lumia 900 Windows Phone smartphone launched in the US on the weekend with mobile carrier AT&T, and now a number of owners of the device has reported an issue with the mobile data over AT&T’s network. Users have reported the problems on the Nokia forums, and also the WP Central forums, and users are reporting a loss of the cellular data connection on the handset, some users have found a temporary fix whilst others are still having problems.

| US Cellphone Carriers To Build Database To Combat Smartphone Theft Posted: 10 Apr 2012 02:38 AM PDT The major cellphone carriers in the US have agreed a deal with the US government to build a central database of stolen cellphones in the US, and the database will be designed to track any smartphone or cellphone that has been reported as lost of stolen. The four companies involved in the database include AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile, and they idea behind it is that it will make it difficult for stolen or lost mobile phones to be re-sold as they will be tracked via the database.

| HTC One S Coming To T-Mobile 25th April Posted: 10 Apr 2012 12:58 AM PDT It looks like one of HTC’s latest Android smartphones, the HTC One S is headed to US mobile carrier AT&T later this month, and the device is expected to be available on T-Mobile from the 25th of April. As yet we don’t have any details on how much T-Mobile will be charging for the HTC One S on their network, and the device comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense 4.0.

| Sony Announces $6.4 Billion Loss Posted: 10 Apr 2012 12:49 AM PDT Yesterday Sony announced that they were cutting 10,000 jobs around the world, and now the company has announced its latest financial results for the 2011 financial year, with a massive $6.4 billion loss. The $6.4 billion loss is made up of a $3.6 billion tax charge in the US and a $2.9 billion loss from its operations, however Sony has also said that they are expecting to turn things around this year.

| India’s Aakash 2 Tablet To Get Android 4.0 ICS Update Posted: 10 Apr 2012 12:26 AM PDT India’s second budget tablet, the Aakash 2 which is made by Datawind is due to go on sale in a couple of weeks, and now Datawind has announced that they will release an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the tablet. The company behind the Aakash tablet has said that it will release the Android 4.0 update for the device around six to eight weeks after the tablet goes on sale, which should be before the end of April.
