Nintendo Wii U to be sold at a loss

Worlds Smallest Ultra HD 4K Display Measuring Just 9.6 Inches Unveiled By Ortustech

This week Ortustech has unveiled the worlds smallest Ultra HD 4K display which measures just 9.6 inches in size. The tiny 9.6-inch color liquid crystal display packs in a massive resolution of 3840 x 2160.

You would think that a screen this size would only be a concept rather than ready for production, but is looking to start sample delivery next month, ready for full production to start in the near future.

Apple App Store Receives Support For 8 More Currencies

Apple has today rolled out support within its App Store for eight more currencies, which includes the Russian Ruble, Turkey's Lire, India's Rupee, Indonesia's Rupiah, Israel's New Shekel, Saudi Arabia's Riyal, South Africa's Rand, and United Arab Emirates' Dirham.

Previously these unsupported currencies would have had to make payments in US dollars rather than their local currency, download free applications or jailbreak their devices to acquire apps by illegal means.

Samsung Makes $7.3 Billion Profit In Quarter Three 2012

Samsung has announced its latest financial figures and the company has made a record profit of $7.4 billion for the third quarter of 2012, Samsung had estimated that their profit would be around $7.3 billion.

Samsung has increased their profit it 91 percent on the same quarter in 2011, and the jump is profits is mainly down to the popularity of Samsung’s smartphones and tablets.

Apple’s New Online Radio Service To Launch Early Next Year (Rumor)

We have been hearing rumors for a while that Apple are working on their own online radio service to take on the likes of Pandora, and now according to a recent report by Bloomberg the service will launch early next year.

Apple are apparently in discussions with the major labels about the service, and a deal may be reached by the middle of next month, and the service could launch in the first quarter of 2013.

Apple’s iPad Mini Shipping Slips To Two Weeks

Apple’s iPad Mini went up for pre-order earlier today, and it would appear that Apple has almost sold out of its initial stock for the iPad Mini pre-orders, as shipping on the majority of the models has slipped to two weeks.

It looks like the 16GB black iPad Mini is sold out, whilst the 32GB and 64GB models are still showing as available for shipping on the 2nd of November, with regards to the white model it looks like all version are now sold out for pre-order.

Google Nexus 10 Manual Leaked

Google will be launching a number of new devices at their Android event next week, which will include the new LG Nexus 4, and a 32GB Nexus 7 tablet, as well as a Nexus 7 tablet with 3G.

Another device we are expecting them to announce is a new larger Nexus tablet, the Google Nexus 10, and the device will be made by Samsung and will feature a 10 inch display, have a look at the photo below of a leaked manual cor the new Nexus 10.

We saw a photo of the new Samsung Galaxy Premier the other day, and now the device has appeared at Taiwan’s NCC, which is their equivalent of the FCC and now we have some semi decent photos of the new Samsung Galaxy Premier.

It looks along with the photos some specifications on the Galaxy Premier have been confirmed, which include a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

MSI has today announced that their gaming laptops will be receiving a refresh and an upgrade to Windows 8 operating system launching today,with the first laptops to receive the new refresh being the MSI GT60 And GT70.

Samsung Launches New Flagship ‘Pro Series’ 80 MB/s Memory Cards

Samsung has unveiled a new line of memory cards this week, which take their place as Samsung’s flagships memory cards, and are capable of transferring data at 80MB/s.

Samsung Galaxy Note II Now Available On Sprint

US mobile carrier, Sprint has now started selling Samsung’s second generation Galaxy Note smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, and the device is now available for $299.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with Sprint.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II features a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, there is also a quad core 1.6GHz processor and the latest version of Google's Android OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Windows 8 Pro Media Center Pack Free For A Limited Time

Sony Xperia TL Lands On AT&T November 2nd For $99.99

Samsung $249 Chromebook Benchmarks

After being launched last week and available to purchase earlier this week, the $249 Samsung Chromebook sold out of its initial production units in less than 24 hours after initially going on sale in the Google Play Store.

To re-cap the Samsung Chromebook is equipped with a 11.6 inch screen sporting a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and comes as you would guess running Google’s Chrome operating system, all powered by an ARM based processor.

Nexus 7 3G Appears At The FCC

We are expecting Google to announce some new devices at their Android event next week on the 29th of October, one of those is the new LG Nexus 4, and we are also expecting them to announce a new 32GB Nexus 7.

Now it would appear that they will also be introducing another new Nexus 7 tablet, the existing ones only come with WiFi, but a Nexus 7 with 3G has turned up at the FCC.

LG Nexus 4 To Retail For £389 In The UK (Rumor)

Google are expected to announced their next Nexus smartphone next week on the 29th of October, we are expecting them to announce the new LG Nexus 4, which turned up yesterday on a UK retailers website.

Now it would appear that we may have some pricing information on the LG Nexus 4, it would appear that the handset will retail for £389, we presume this is the SIM free version of the device.

Apple’s iPad 4 Goes Up For Pre-order

As well as announcing the new iPad Mini, Apple also updated their iPad with  couple of new specifications over the iPad 3 which was announced earlier in the year, and it now features Apple’s Lightning dock connector and a faster Apple A6X processor.

Apple’s new iPad 4 is now available to pre-order, pricing is the same as the iPad 3, with a choice of WiFi only and WiFi and cellular models, and prices start at $499 for the 16GB WiFi only model.

Apple Posts Notice To Website Saying Samsung Did Not Copy Apple iPad Design

Apple was ordered by a UK court a while back to publish a notice on its website and also an advert in the UK press saying that Samsung did not copy the design of Apple’s iPad.

Apple’s iPad Mini Goes Up For Pre-order

Apple’s latest tablet, the iPad Mini is now available to pre-order, and the device will start shipping next Friday the 2nd of November, prices start at $329 in the US and £269 in the UK for the entry level 16GB WiFi model.

The iPad mini features a 7.9 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and 163 pixels per inch, it is powered by a dual core A5X processor and comes with dual cameras.

Apple Announces Latest Financial Results

Apple has announced its latest financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter of 2012 which ended on the 29th of September, and they posted a quarterly revenue of $36 billion and a net profit for the quarter of $8.2 billion, or $8.67 per diluted share.

Apple also announced details on how many of their various products they have sold, with a total of 26.9 million iPhones sold, which is 58 percent up on the same time last year.

Samsung Shipped 56.9 Million Smartphones In Quarter Three, According To Research

It looks like Samsung’s smartphones are becoming even more popular, according to research firm Strategy Analytics, Samsung shipped a massive 56.9 million smartphones in the third quarter of 2012.

The report also says that there were a total of 162 million smartphones shipped in the third quarter, that means that Samsung shipped around 35 percent of all smartphones for the quarter.
