The new Apple Mini iPad also features a smaller 7.9 inch touchscreen display equipped with a 1024 x 768 resolution, the same as the larger iPad tablet, and the Mini iPad is also powered by a dual-core A5 processor. | Apple’s New iMac Gets Official Posted: 23 Oct 2012 10:43 AM PDT Apple has announced an new iMac which features a completely new design and it comes with an ultra thin design and the edge of the new iMac measures just 5mm, making it 80 percent thinner than the previous one. The new iMac will come in a choice of either a 21 inch display or a 27 inch display, it also features dual microphones and a FaceTime HD camera which is capable of 720p video.

| Apple’s iOS 6 Is Now On 200 Million Devices Posted: 23 Oct 2012 10:15 AM PDT Apple is holding their iPad Mini event at the moment, and they have just announced that over 200 million iOS devices have upgraded to iOS 6 in just one month, and according to Apple this is the fastest upgrade to any mobile software ever. Apple also announced that there are 700,000 iOS apps available in the app store, and 275,000 of these are iPad apps, and the total number of apps downloaded from the app store has reached a massive 35 billion.

| Amazon Discontinues Kindle Touch (Rumor) Posted: 23 Oct 2012 03:10 AM PDT Recently we heard that Amazon had discontinued their Kindle DX, the device was removed from Amazon’s website, and now it would appear that Amazon may have discontinued the Kindle Touch. Amazon’s website is now showing the Kindle Touch as ‘currently unavailable’ with no mention of when the device will be in stock, although Amazon is pointing people towards its new Kindle Paperwhite, so it looks like the Paperwhite could have replaced the Kindle Touch.

According to a recent report by, Samsung has had production problems with their new YOUM display, and also their current AMOLED displays are so popular that they have had to increase production in facilities which were to be used for the flexible displays.

| Samsung Galaxy Premier (Superior) Turns Up In Benchmarks Again Posted: 23 Oct 2012 02:27 AM PDT Last week the Samsung Galaxy Premier or GT-I9268 appeared in some benchmarks, and now the device has turned up again, this time in the GLBenchmark, but it would appear that the device may feature a different name than the ‘Premier’ when it launches. The device with the model number GT-I9268 has appeared as the Samsung Galaxy Superior, with Android 4.1.1, and it has also revealed that the handset will feature a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU.

| Apple’s iOS 6 Now On 61 Percent Of Devices In US And Canada Posted: 23 Oct 2012 01:42 AM PDT Apple launched the latest version of their mobile OS about a month ago, and now according to a recent report, in the US and Canada Apple’s iOS 6 is now on around 61 percent of devices. The news comes from Chitika who also said that after two weeks, Apple’s iOS was on around 50 percent of all devices, so it looks like iOS 6 adoption has slowed slightly over the last few weeks.
