Students suspended due to teacher’s topless pics on her iPad Posted: 21 Oct 2012 08:16 AM PDT iPads are everywhere. Even in schools, since they are a real help with education. And they will only get more prevalent in schools, so maybe this can be a cautionary tale. If you are a teacher and you have some personal pictures, you shouldn't auto-sync your iDevice. Also, if you are a kid on a teachers iPad, don’t snoop. You will get suspended for looking through the tablet. © Geeky Gadgets, 2012. | Permalink | Unauthorized duplication and or distribution of our content is strictly forbidden © Geeky Gadgets, 2012 |

SD card found in crushed camera survives earthquake Posted: 21 Oct 2012 02:04 AM PDT On February 22, 2011 there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. 185 people were killed and it caused billions of dollars of damage. Amazingly 18 months later, one couple has recovered pictures from a camera that they thought was destroyed in the quake. At least something good came out of the devastation. © Geeky Gadgets, 2012. | Permalink | Unauthorized duplication and or distribution of our content is strictly forbidden © Geeky Gadgets, 2012 |
TSA removes X-ray body scanners from major airports Posted: 21 Oct 2012 01:42 AM PDT According to ProPublica, the TSA is removing the X-ray body scanners currently installed at major airports. You know the ones that everyone is complaining about. They are replacing them with safer millimeter wave scanners. (Although they have said time and again that they are safe to begin with) © Geeky Gadgets, 2012. | Permalink | Unauthorized duplication and or distribution of our content is strictly forbidden © Geeky Gadgets, 2012 |
Xbox 360 update removes Twitter and Facebook apps Posted: 21 Oct 2012 01:18 AM PDT Earlier this week Microsoft started rolling out the latest update to the Xbox 360 menu interface, the Dashboard. One of the big new things is an Internet Explorer app for surfing the Internet and accessing browser-based online services. But if you have applied the update, you’ll notice that IE has come at a cost of some other popular apps. © Geeky Gadgets, 2012. | Permalink | Unauthorized duplication and or distribution of our content is strictly forbidden © Geeky Gadgets, 2012 |
