Posted: 11 Oct 2012 12:18 AM PDT

Samsung has sent out invites for its Galaxy Note II launch event in the US, it will take place on the 24th of October in New York, and we can expect to find out when the new Galaxy Note II will be available with various carriers.

Earlier in the week we heard that the Samsung Galaxy Note II would be available with T-Mobile from the 24th of October, this looks to be correct now and we suspect the handset will be available with the other carriers on the same day.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II features a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, there is also a quad core 1.6GHz processor and the latest version of Google's Android OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

We should have some details of the exact launch date and also some details on pricing for each of the individual mobile carriers on the 24th of October.
