| HTC Working Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update For One XL and One S Posted: 19 Jul 2012 05:26 AM PDT It looks like at least two of HTC’s devices will be getting update to the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the devices in question are the HTC One XL (One X) and the HTC One S. The guys over at Engadget spotted the updates on Australian mobile carrier Telstra’s website, although there are no details on when the updates will be released.

| Sprint Says It Will Not Charge For FaceTime Over Its Mobile Network Posted: 19 Jul 2012 04:27 AM PDT We heard a rumor earlier this week that AT&T may charge users for FaceTime over their mobile network when iOS 6 has been released, although AT&T have said that they haven’t decided what they will do as yet. One US carrier has told the WSJ that they will not charge for FaceTime over their cellular network, Sprint, and you can see the statement from Sprint below.

| Nokia Sell Just 600,000 Phones In North America For Quarter 2 Posted: 19 Jul 2012 04:10 AM PDT Earlier today we heard that Nokia had sold a total of 4 million Lumia Windows Phone handsets for the second quarter of 2012, and now we get some details of how many devices the company has sold in North America for the quarter two 2012. Nokia only managed to sell 600,000 mobile phones in quarter two of 2012, this is not just Lumia devices, but all mobile phones that Nokia have sold in North America.

| Apple Finally Acquires Apple.co.uk Domain Name Posted: 19 Jul 2012 01:56 AM PDT It looks like Apple has finally acquired the Apple.co.uk domain name, the domain was first registered back in 1996 and has been owned for a number of years by a UK based design firm called Apple Illustration. Apple Illustration now have a new website and the Apple.co.uk domain name now points to Apple.com, obviously Apple has managed to convince the owner of the .co.uk Apple domain to sell it.

| Photos Of Apple’s Protoype iPad Appear Online And its Huge Posted: 19 Jul 2012 01:22 AM PDT Some photos have appeared online of what appears to be Apple’s first prototype iPad, the device was apparently developed some time between 2002 and 2004, making the device around 8 to 10 years old, the original photo was discovered by Network World. The photo below shows the original prototype iPad next to the iPad 2, and as you can see the prototype is considerably larger than the iPad that was released by Apple.

| Judge Orders Apple To Run Adverts In The UK Saying Samsung Did Not Copy iPad Posted: 19 Jul 2012 12:36 AM PDT A UK court recently ruled that Samsung’s tablets did not infringe on Apple’s patents, and now the judge dealing with the case has ordered Apple to run adverts stating that Samsung did not copy Apple. According to Bloomberg, Apple will have to take out adverts in major UK newspapers, technology magazines and also publish a notice on their website stating that Samsung’s devices did not copy the iPad.

| Microsoft To Launch Windows 8 October 26th Posted: 19 Jul 2012 12:28 AM PDT Microsoft has announced the launch date of their new operating system, Windows 8, the official launch date of Windows 8 is the 26th of October 2012, the news was announced on Microsoft’s Windows Team Blog. Microsoft also announced that new Windows 8 PCs will launch on the same day, so we presume that will include tablets and we expect a number of Windows 8 tablet announcements from various manufacturers over the next few months.

| Samsung Galaxy S III 64GB Coming Later This Year Posted: 18 Jul 2012 11:38 PM PDT When Samsung announced the new Galaxy S III, they said that there would be a 64GB model later in the year, although there have been rumors over the last few days that the 64GB model had been cancelled. Samsung has now confirmed to The Verge, that they will release a 64GB Galaxy S III, and it is scheduled to arrive later this year as they originally announced, you can see Samsung’s statement below.
