Bipedal robot takes very human-like steps

This bipedal robot has the most human-like walk we have seen yet. Researchers Dr. M. Anthony Lewis and Theresa J. Klein have been working on developing an artificial “biarticulate muscle leg model” since 2008. The realism comes from the fact that the system uses motors pulling on tendon-like Kevlar straps to replicate the action of muscle groups.

Def Leppard re-records their own music to solve royalty despute

Record companies are famous for ripping off artists and now Def Leppard is taking a stand thanks to a loophole in copyright law. Basically, if you want to record your own version of a popular song, you don't need to ask for permission. English rock group Def Leppard is using this to their advantage.

Resident Evil 6 demo code reveals two hidden playable characters

Fans of Resident Evil should like this news. Players of the Resident Evil 6 demo have decrypted the code to see if there were any secrets they could find. What they found was a list of all playable characters. The list includes those that we know about like Sherry, Jake, Leon, Helena, Chris, and Piers, along with two new ones: Ada and Helper.

DARPA creates gigapixel camera

DARPA, who usually busies themselves creating killer robots and such, has revealed its latest project, a gigapixel camera. It should be much safer than the kind of monstrosities they usually create. This camera is capable of taking photos that are at a much higher resolution than the human eye can see.

Prometheus Blu-Ray Extras Include Second Screen App and 15 minutes of deleted scenes

Ridley Scott's Prometheus may still in theaters, but the Blu-ray has been available for pre-order since before the movie even came out. Despite the fact that we had no idea what extras the Blu-ray had. Now we have some details thanks to Amazon France.
