Washington State has already allowed online voter registration since 2008, and with the implementation of Facebook, now there is a new way to reach potential voters.

D-Link Cloud Router 5700 Now Available for Purchase

D-Link has announced the availability for its latest router called the Cloud Router 5700. The new router supports 802.11ac technology making it much faster than previous 802.11n routers. The router is backwards compatible with older Wi-Fi protocols. The 5700 promises speeds of up to 1750 Mbps.

16 Virtual Racers Head to UK for a Chance to Race for Nissan for Real

It has been a long time since we talked about the video game Gran Turismo 5. Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) and Polyphony Digital Inc., in collaboration with Nissan North America have been hosting GT Academy 2012.

They have cut about 400,000 applicants down to the 16 final competitors that will have the chance to drive a real racecar. The final 16 drivers will head to the UK where they will attend a week-long boot camp this August at Silverstone racing circuit.

EA has just announced Battlefield 4 via a Tweet from EA UK marketing’s Dan Sheridan. Who explained in his Tweet: “Pre-order Warfighter and get access to #BF4Beta :)

The Tweet included a link to a blog post by Sheridan which included a video trailer with in-depth commentary on the multiplayer features within the new Medal of Honor Warfighter multiplayer mode and its features.

Barnes & Noble Launches Nook For Web

Barnes & Noble has announced nook for Web, which is a cloud based reading  platform that you can use to read ebook’s through your web browser, and the service is launching with six free books.

Nook for Web supports multiple web browsers on the PC and Mac,which include Firefox, Safari, Chrome and IE, they also have plans to launch the service on smartphones and tablets including Apple’s iOS device and Google’s Android devices.

NASA Mars Rover Landing Simulator Lands On Xbox Live (video)

NASA has this week launched its first game on to a major home entertainment console in the form of the Mars Rover Landing game, which is currently on Xbox Live, and is now available to download for free.

Zoom Q2HD $200 Audio-Video Recorder Announced

Japanese company Zoom well known for creating guitar pedals has this week announced the launch of a new product to their range in the form go the Zoom Q2HD audio-video recorder, which has been created with musicians in mind.

The Zoom Q2HD is capable of capturing H.264 video at either 1080p or 720p, and is equipped with a Mid-Side microphone. Which is a combination of a unidirectional front-facing microphone, together with a bidirectional microphone positioned on the side of the Zoom Q2HD.

Quadcopters Use Motion Capture To Fly In Formation (Video)

Researchers at the Chiba University are developing quadcopters that are capable of flying in formation using image processing and motion capture, each one of these mini quadcopters weighs in at 300g and they are capable of carrying a total of 500g, which includes a 250 battery pack.

The researchers are using four quadcopters together at the moment, but have plans to use more at once, which would enable then to gather information faster.

HTC EVO 3D And EVO Design 4G Android 4.0 ICS Update Coming In August

US mobile carrier Sprint has announced that two of its Android devices will be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in early August, the two devices are the HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO Design 4G.

Sprint will release the update as an OTA update in early August, no specific date has been given although we presume that would be some time during the first two weeks in August.

Intel Increases SSD 330 To 240GB And Lowers SSD Prices

Google Nexus 7 Pre-orders Now Shipping In The UK

Google’s Nexus 7 tablet recently started shipping in the US, and now it would appear that the tablet has also started shipping here in the UK, which means that anyone who pre-ordered the device should receive the device soon.

My Xbox Live App Update Adds iPad Remote Control Support

LG Optimus Vu For Verizon Leaked

It looks like the LG Optimus Vu is headed to US mobile carrier Verizon Wireless, the photo below shows the Optimus Vu next to a Samsung Galaxy S III, and as you can see from the photo it features the Verizon branding.

AT&T May Charge For FaceTime Over 3G On iOS 6

Apple’s FaceTime feature is currently only available over WiFi, this could possibly change in the future, and from the looks of it when Apple’s releases iOS 6 you will be able to make FaceTime calls over 3G.

The guys from 9 to 5 Mac have been testing out iOS 6, they were using US mobile carrier AT&T, and when they tried to make a FaceTime call over 3G they were greeted with a message to contact AT&T.

Samsung To Buy British CSR Mobile Location Technology For Smartphones
