| Corrupt Apps Causing Problems In Apple’s App Store Posted: 05 Jul 2012 05:56 AM PDT It looks like some of the apps in Apple’s App Store, which have been updated over the last couple of days are causing problems with users of the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The issue was first spotted by the developer of the Instapaper app, when an update to their app was released, which was working fine, but when users downloaded the app it started crashing.

| Acer Aspire 5600U All In One PC Announced Posted: 05 Jul 2012 05:00 AM PDT Acer announced a couple of new all in one PC’s ast month, and now they have released the full specifications on one of them, the Acer Aspire 5600U which will come with a choice of Intel’s latest core i3 and Core i5 processors. The Acer Aspire 5600 U features a 23 inch Full HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, there is also NVIDIA GeForce GT630M graphics and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

| Samsung And Apple Drop Additional Patent Claims Ahead Of Trial Posted: 05 Jul 2012 04:50 AM PDT Apple and Samsung are currently engaged in a major court case in the US, we recently saw a couple of Samsung’s product banned for sale in the US,the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the fate of both devices will be determined at the upcoming trial. Now both Samsung and Apple have reduced their patent claims against each other ahead of the trial, this was done at the request of Judge Lucy Koh, although this is something that Judge Koh could ask for again if she feels that the two companies have not reduced the claims enough for the actual trial.

| Apple Granted Patent For Wearable Head Mounted Display Posted: 05 Jul 2012 04:37 AM PDT Google has already show off their own wearable head mounted display in the form of their Google Project Glasses, and now it would appear that Apple also has a wearable head mounted display planned for the future. Apple has now bee granted a patent for a "Peripheral treatment for head-mounted displays", the patent was originally filed back in 2006 and the patent was granted to Apple this week.

| Samsung To Manufacture Qualcomm’s 28nm Snapdragon Processors Posted: 05 Jul 2012 03:57 AM PDT Samsung and Qualcomm are currently competing with each other on their smartphone processors, and not it would appear that Samsung is actually going to help its rival produce their 28nm Snapdragon S4 SoC. Qualcomm’s current processors are made by Taiwan’s TSMC, who are unable to keep up with the demand for the S4, so Qualcomm have looked for other companies to help meet the demand for their latest flagship processor.

| New PlayStation 3 Model Discovered In FCC Filing Posted: 05 Jul 2012 03:29 AM PDT It looks like Sony may be about to launch a new version of their PlayStation 3 console, as a new version has been discovered in a recent FCC filing, which according to the guys over at Eurogamer is a new ‘Super Slim’ version of the PlayStation 3. According to the report the FCC filing has revealed that some new hardware is being tested in this new slimmer PlayStation 3 although there are no details on exactly what the new hardware is.

| UK Google Nexus 7 Tablet Won’t Have Magazines And TV Shows At Launch Posted: 05 Jul 2012 03:09 AM PDT We heard earlier today that the Google Nexus 7 is expected to launch in the UK on the 19th of July,and now it would appear that the same content available in the US on the Galaxy Nexus 7 will not be available in the UK at launch. The guys over at the Inquirer spoke to Google, and Google has confirmed that the UK version will have access to content that is available in the UK Play Store, which means no TV shows, music and magazines, unlike the US version.

| Google Nexus 7 Tablet Hits The UK July 19th Posted: 05 Jul 2012 01:56 AM PDT When Google announced their new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet, the Google Nexus 7, they said it would launch in the UK in the middle of July and now it appears we may have a launch date of the 19th of July. According to a couple of UK retailers the Google Nexus 7 will be available in the UK from the 19th of July, this is for the 8GB version, the 16GB version is expected to launch on the 27th of July.

| Apple Posts $95.6M Bond To Ban The Galaxy Nexus In The US Posted: 05 Jul 2012 01:47 AM PDT Yesterday we heard that Samsung had been denied their appeal to have the US ban on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus lifted ahead of the upcoming court case, we also heard that Google had stopped selling the Galaxy Nexus from their online store. According to Florian Mueller from Foss Patents, Apple has now posted a $95.6 million bond, which means that the ban of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the US can now be enforced.

| Motorola Atrix HD For AT&T Announced Posted: 05 Jul 2012 01:30 AM PDT It looks like Motorola has launched a new Android smartphone, the Motorola Atrix HD which will be available with US mobile carrier AT&T, and comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Motorola Atrix HD features a 4.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, plus a dual core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, there is also 8GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB cards.

| Quad Core Samsung Galaxy S III LTE Goes On Sale In Korea July 9th Posted: 05 Jul 2012 01:09 AM PDT The US version of the Samsung Galaxy S III comes with a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and LTE, the International version of the handset comes with a quad core Exynos processor but no LTE. | Lenovo In Talks With Microsoft On Custom Windows Phone Handsets Posted: 05 Jul 2012 12:26 AM PDT Lenovo is apparently in talks with Microsoft to produce custom Windows Phone smartphones, and if a deal is done it will be similar to the one Nokia has with Microsoft. Lenovo are looking to release Windows Phone 8 devices with custom UI’s and apps, rather than releasing devices with the stock version of Windows Phone 8 on their future handsets.
