Kickstarter has always been tied to Amazon Payments because the service allows Kickstarter to cancel and refund money immediately if a project doesn’t fund.

GameStop Offers Nice Pre-Order Exclusives for Madden 13

Chicago gets a life-size Monopoly game

A group of artists who go by the name of “Bored” (Or maybe just a lone guy) have set up life sized sculptures and pavement art in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, creating a life-sized game of Monopoly. I hope that doesn’t mean that you go to the actual jail when you land on that space.

Google Nexus 7 Shipping Changed To 1-2 Weeks

It looks like we could be getting closer to the launch of Google’s Nexus 7 tablet, when the device initially went up for pre-order it was showing a shipping time of 3 to 4 weeks, this has now been changed today to 1-2 weeks, and the device is expected around the middle of July.

As a reminder Google Nexus 7 features a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and it also features a 12 core GPU.

Motorola Atrix HD Hits AT&T July 15th

Last week we heard about the new Motorola Atrix HD, and now we have some pricing and a launch date for the handset, it will land on AT&T on the 15th of July and will be available for $99.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier.

The Motorola Atrix HD comes with 4.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, plus a dual core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, there is also 8GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot.

Sonarflow Spotify Companion iOS App Helps Find Music To Suit Your Taste

BlackBerry Curve 9310 Lands On Verizon July 12th

Verizon Wireless has announced that they will be offering the BlackBerry Curve 9310 on their network in the US, from this Thursday the 12th of July and the device will be available for $49.99 after a $50 mail in rebate.

The $49.99 price is if you sign up to a new two year contract with Verizon, and the handset comes with a 2.44 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels plus a QWERTY keyboard.

Apple’s New iPad Lands In China 20th Of July

Apple has announced that its new iPad will go on sale in China on Friday the 20th of July, the news comes just a couple of weeks after Apple settles its lawsuit with Proview for $60 million, in China over the iPad trademark.

Apple will open for reservations of the device a day earlier on the 19th of July, this is obviously being done to cut down on scalpers which we have seen before at the launch of new Apple devices in China.

Valve’s Introduces Greenlight To Decide Which Games Will Be Released On Steam

Valve has introduced a new service called Greenlight today, which Valve has created to allow their community of gamers to decide which games should get released on Steam, Valve’s games network.

In a similar vein to the popular Kickstarter crowd funding website. Within Greenlight Game developers will will submit their games using videos, screenshots and text, after which users of Steam will then be able to vote on the games they would most like to see make the jump from concept to release.

Google To Pay $22.5 Million Fine For Safari Privacy Violation

According to a recent report by the WSJ, Google is getting ready to settle with the FTC over the privacy violation relating to Apple’s Safari browser, and Google will end up paying a find of around $22.5 million US dollars.

The FTC had previously charged Google with violating users privacy on Apple’s Safari browser, where privacy setting were apparently bypassed, and Safari was allegedly tricked into accepting an advertising cookie.

HTC Rezound To Get Android 4.0 ICS Update End Of July

It looks like owners of the HTC Rezound won’t have to wait very much longer to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on their handset, as the update is expected to be released by the end of July.

The guys over at Droid Life contacted HTC and were told that the update will start rolling out to the device at the end of July and should be finished some time in August.

Parrot MiniKit Neo In-Car Personal Assistant Introduced

Parrot well known for creating the awesome remote AR. Drone amongst other products, has built and launched a new device that will be available to purchase in September called the Parrot MiniKit Neo.

The Parrot MiniKit Neo has been designed to be an in-car personal assistant and can be controlled by the driver voice. It attaches to your sun visor and connects with up to two Bluetooth devices at the same time, and comes with companions apps for both Android and Apple iOS devices.

Microsoft has announced a new version of its Windows 8 OS, called Windows 8 To Go, the software is designed to be used on older computers and runs directly from a USB flash drive.

Windows 8 To Go will come on a 32GB USB drive and it will save all your settings and apps directly on the USB drive, meaning that you will be able to use it on virtually any computer and have the same settings.

Motorola Motosmart Lands In The UK End Of July

Motorola recently announced the Motosmart, an entry level Android smartphone, and now we have some details on the release date and also some information on pricing.

Huawei Ascend D1 Lands In China

Huawei announced the Ascend D1 a while back, and the device has now go on sale in China, the handset comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and features a 4.5 inch touchscreen display.

The 4.5 inch display on the Ascend D1 comes with a 720p HD IPS display, there is also a 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, plus front and rear facing cameras.

iPPea TV $50, MIPS Android 4.0 Mini PC (video)

MIPS Technologies and iPPea have partnered to create a new Android powered mini PC called the iPPea TV which is roughly the size of a USB thumb drive, and is now available to pre-order for just $50.

Fujitsu Q702 Hybrid Tablet Unveiled

Fujitsu has this week unveiled a new hybrid tablet its created in the form of the Fujitsu Q702 which comes with an optional keyboard dock if required, and features a 11.6 inch HD AH-IPS anti-glare 10-point multi-touch screen.

AT&T Galaxy Note Gets Android 4.0 ICS Update (Video)

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is not the only device getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on US mobile carrier AT&T, as the update has now been released for the Samsung Galaxy Note.

As well as bringing Android 4.0 to the Galaxy Note the update also adds in some new features from Samsung, which are called the Premium Suite of apps, with some new features for the S-Pen accessory and more.
