Rumor Says Apple HDTV Won’t Surface until Next Year

Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Asus Transformer owners who would like to bring a little more of a Windows feel to their Android tablet-top. Might be interested in this new user interface that has been created for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus Transformer tablets.

Gmail iOS App Now Allows Alternate Addresses

Google has rolled out a new feature for its iOS Gmail application this week which has added the ability to view email from alternate addresses. The latest addition has been released for both the iPad and iPhone versions of the Gmail iOS application, and has been added with the need for users to make an update to the app.

LG Lucid Lands On Verizon

LG’s latest Android smartphone, the LG Lucid is now available from Verizon wireless in the US, and the handset costs $79.99 after a $50 rebate when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier.

The LG Lucid features 4 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, plus a dual core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM plus front and rear facing cameras, plus Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Awesome LEGO Dark Knight Rises Trailer (video)

The Dark Knight Rises is the new sequel in the Batman story, which is directed Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Spotify Extends Unlimited Free Music For US Users

Spotify launched its music service in the US last July, and when it launched the company offered six months of unlimited music streaming to new users.

Age Of Empires Online Arrives As Free-To-Play On Steam

The Revolve, A Portable, Versatile Camera Dolly

The Revolve is a versatile and portable Camera dolly which has been designed by Jeremy Canterbury, who is trying to raise $7,500 on Kickstarter to put it into production.

The Revolve is designed to be used for capturing smooth and dynamic video footage, and it can apparently create a wide range of tracking shots as well as dynamic stop motion and time lapse shots, have a look the video below.

Open Source Star Trek Tricorder Created By Dr. Peter Jansen (video)

Dr. Peter Jansen has created his very own working tricorder which was first featured in Star Trek as a stage prop and spawned the Tricorder X Prize. Which offers a massive $10 million to anyone would can create a fully functional tricorder device.

Jansen’s tricorder is still a little way from winning the prize at the moment. But its still a fantastic device, of which Jansen has now made available all the instructions and open sourced the software.

My Little Arduino Drummerbot Is Awesome (Video)

Google Chrome Version 18 Brings Improved Graphics

Google has this week released a stable version of its Chrome Browser version 18, which brings with it a number of new features. Including improvements to both Canvas2D's speed and WebGL's reach.

GPU-accelerated Canvas2D has been enabled in the Beta channel from sometime. But now Google has now enabled GPU-accelerated Canvas2D to run on capable Windows and Mac computers, with the aim to make web based applications such as games perform even better than a pure software implementation.

Vodafone UK Releases Android 4.0 Update For HTC Sensation

Bump Pay iOS App Transfers PayPal Money By Bumping Smartphones

Bump has today unveiled its new application Bump Pay, which has been designed to allow users to pay users by simply bumping their smartphones together.

The feature using the Bump API was originally rolled out in PayPal application, but was then removed by PayPal on March 15th. Now Bump has rolled out their own version of the system using PayPal and the payment gateway.

Samsung Adds Extra Blink Security To Android Face Unlock Feature

Samsung has this week increased the security of its Android Face Unlock feature. That keep unwanted guests from accessing your smartphone and data using a photograph.

HTC One X, One S And One V Land In Europe April 2nd

HTC announced a new range of smartphones under the ‘One’ name at this years MWC last month, and now the three device will go on sale in Europe next week.

Samsung Trademarks Three New Galaxy Names

New PlayStation 4 Codenamed Orbis, May Include Anti Pre-Owned Game Feature?

Its been reported this week that the new PlayStation 4 gaming console which is currently under development by Sony is codenamed Orbis, and may come with an anti-pre-owned system installed once it’s officially launched during late 2013, ready for the holiday season.

FBI Licenses Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 To Create Virtual Crime Scenes

It’s has been revealed this week that the Federal Bureau of Investigation better known as the FBI. Will be licensing Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 technology to help them recreate crime scenes, simulations and programs for training purposes.

Epic Games and its partner Virtual Heroes described the deal as a “long-term” agreement to support the technology on web browsers, consoles and handheld devices. But exact financial agreements and terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Microsoft has now expanded its Windows Phone Marketplace to thirteen more countries around the world making a total of 54 countries where the Windows Phone Marketplace is available.

Intel’s Ivy Bridge Quad Core Processors To Launch In April

We heard last month that Intel’s new Ivy Bridge platform had been delayed slightly and now it looks like we have a possible launch date, and the first quad core Ivy Bridge processors from Intel are expected to launched before the end of April.

LG E-Paper Flexible Display Launching In Europe Next Month

LG Display has announced that the world’s first mass-produced plastic EPD from LG Display will first be supplied to ODM companies in China this month, followed by new E-Paper flexible display products will be released in Europe at the beginning of next month.

LG has been able to harness and develop a unique technique to uses high TFT process, which is generally used in the manufacture of LCD displays with temperatures exceeding 350 degrees, to be used in the production of its plastic EPD flexible displays.

Raspberry Pi Computer UK Distributors Require CE Certification

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has today revealed that their UK distributors RS Components and element14/Premier Farnell, are now insisting that their $35 Raspberry Pi computer requires CE certification for them to be able to distribute the computers within the UK.

Original the Raspberry Pi Foundation hoped that due to their computer not being a “finished” item. Similar to that of the Beagleboard and other non-CE-marked platforms, it would not require the CE certification.

The FireDock has been specifically designed to be used with Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet, and pumps out 16 watts of audio. The Grace Digital FireDock is fitted with stereo speakers, and can be rotated 50 or 38 degrees to provide the best viewing position for your Kindle Fire.

HTC Evo One Coming To Sprint June 6th?

We have been hearing rumors that HTC’s new flagship smartphone, the HTC One X is headed to Sprint, both HTC and Sprint have a special event planned for the 4th of April.

According to a recent report the handset will be called the HTC Evo One when it lands on Sprint, and the device will feature a black and red color scheme and will also come with a built in kickstand.

Some of our readers will remember the Kisai On Air watch from Tokyoflash that we featured last year, the company has now launched a new version of this Geeky timepiece, the Tokyoflash Kisai On Air Acetate watch.

Dell Stops Selling Smartphones In The US

Dell hasn’t been very successful with its range of smartphones, and now the company has stopped selling smartphones in the US, the company has said it is working on its mobile strategy for emerging markets and higher margin devices.

The last two Dell smartphones that were available in the US were the Dell Venue and Dell Venue Pro, and the company has now stopped selling them and has no current plans to replace the device.
