There’s no denying Minecraft  is something of a force of nature, which means that its success, even on the notoriously inhospitable Android platform, comes as no surprise. The game just broke the million sales barrier on Android alone, though no information is forthcoming about how it performed sales-wise on Apple devices.

Half Life Developer Valve Rumoured To Announce “Steam Box” Hardware at GDC

Valve started out by making scary smart narrative – driven FPS games. Then they made a smart digital store for PC games. And according to Joshua Topolsky and The Verge, it is now paving the way for smart hardware. The house of Half-Life is reportedly working together with PC manufacturers to release Steam-powered PC hardware. The aim is apparently to establish a more structured, console-style PC gaming platform while still maintaining its openness.

Japanese Creates Device That Shuts People Up

Assassin’s Creed 3 Screenshots Leaked

Hot on the heels of the leak that revealed the American Revolution setting, now we have some leaked screenshots of Assassin’s Creed 3 that show the unidentified main character walking around a colony and in the wilderness. The shots look pretty impressive and they have a lot of people excited about the game.

Journey, brain child of commercially successful art game poster child thatgamecompany has been announced for March 14th. From my time with Journey at last year’s Eurogamer Expo it seemed to follow a more traditional and structured approach than Flower, the studio’s best known effort. It did share Flower’s casual disinterest in mechanics with any sort of friction, giving it the appearance of an empty framework which rich atmosphere and lush visuals are expected to fill on their own.
